This album has a few enjoyable tracks, "Hero/Heroine" and "The Great Escape" for example, but it lacks any real quality or consistency otherwise. Basically the band discovered a few catchy progressions and one or two golden melodies and thought they had something special. Well, aside from having possibly the worst band name ever this is nothing but below average pop-punk. Sometimes I feel like maybe pop-punk or pop-rock is just a below-average genre to me, but bands like Mew show me catchiness can be done in a quality manner. These guys don't have anything to offer except a musically hollow record with shoddy lyrics. Don't buy this.
This album is really some of the best pop punk/emo since fall out boy came around. The songs are great, genuninely catchy tunes, no skip tracks on this album. Definitely a great debut for any band. Has quickly become one of my favorite albums.
I thought this band was awesome. Some tracks were a little cheesy, but hey, sometimes that's what your in the mood for. The song i truly didn't like was "dance hall drug". I like that they use so many different sounds/instruments, yet they're all blended togther seamlessly.
