At times not the most original of works, but the epic scope and tone of the entire piece, coupled with individual incredible moments, makes for a worthy soundtrack.

The tracks lack any depth to become epic tracks in action sequences, but what makes up for it is M83's cues from Daft Punk's last collaboration with Joseph Kolinski in Tron: Legacy which had very slow and subtle orchestration to build up with small emotions rather than large reactions. This tactic both succeeds and fails at bringing the sci-fi thriller's more bigger moments to life, but it does work in regards to the smaller moments that occur between the characters in scenes.

Not a good film but this score is surprisingly good and shows the versatility and talent of M83 perfectly.
