Pelican seem to tune their guitars to earthquakes. The whole album sounds so angry. It's not musically complicated and it doesn't really have any set tempos, but that just adds to the uniqueness that makes up Pelican.
It's hard to keep instrumental music interesting sometimes. Pelican makes it seem like they're not even trying, making 10+ minute opuses. Great riffs and grooves.
