I like my coffee in the morning with some extra 'shuggah

Nothing really special, but Pitch Black is extremely heavy and groovy with a great guitar solo, and Dancers To A Discordant System sounds awesome in the live performance.

Lets be real for a second....this is meshuggah we're talking about. It won't be bad

Unfortunately, if you were wanting Scion to throw you some awesome free music as they've done in the past with such bands as Immolation and Enslaved, you're going to be pissed off. The first track is a boring editing-room-floor cut and the second is a live track from Obzen. A waste on my hard drive indeed.

Meshuggah releases another fitting song into their repertoire. Exactly what I was expecting, yet entertaining and freash.

3.5 greatKJ Swantko | February 6th 13

A groovy jam masterminded by Thordendal and a live version of maybe the best song off Obzen - I can't complain.

That awkward moment when Meshuggah releases a song they recorded ten years ago and it still sounds more advanced than 95% of other bands in their genre.

An old unreleased song from 2003 and a live track from Obzen. Hardly enough to be called an EP. But Pitch Black grooves hard.

The new track is sweet, but I'm disappointed that there's only one.

New/old track grooves and the live version of Dancers slays...what is there to hate?

Boring ass song. And I like Meshuggah a fair bit.rSome funky grooves but that's all.

Meshuggah is an undoubtedly good band, but Pitch Black is undoubtedly boring as hell.
