On their debut album the Norwegian band Benea Reach display a lot of different styles and influences. Monument Bineothan can be slow and sludgy, but also can be very technical
but they could use a few more memorable hooks. The vocals are a combination of death metal growls and hardcore screams, which are emotional and reasonably diverse
The most amazing thing about this album is the high-end vocalists' ability to switch pitches through atmosphereic/melodic parts mid-scream as if he's actually singing.
the guitars are good which i'm lead to believe there are 3 of them if i had to kinda of explain wat the sound like the closest i would get to would be early Mastodon before leviathan
that be said its hard to get into this album the first time around listen to it a few times and you'll come to like it just like i have although is good for a first ablum i would expect to be hearing more from this guys and lets hope its soon
You won't find any other metal band out there today that combines so many different elements as Benea Reach does; and they do a damn excellent job at it too. Couldn't ask for a better first album for this Norweigian quintet.
