Slam death metal (if it is even a real genre) done right. Groovy syncopated riffs typical of the genre yet there are technical riffs and solos throughout.
There really aren't any surprises on "The Time Of Great Purification", nevertheless it remains a pretty competent and surprisingly catchy piece of slam/brutal death metal.
I am generally not a fan of brutal death metal at all but fuck this is really good. I think the main reason I enjoy it so much is because everything from the riffs to the vocals are extremely reminiscent of Abominable Putridity
