Palmer has never bothered to learn her craft. I guarantee you she has never taken a music lesson in her life and it shows. Palmer believes she is entitled to fame without actually earning it and because she cannot gain an audience through competence, she seeks an audience through screaming, bullying and making a spectacle out of herself.
Theater is Evil is her "toned down" album, a childish retaliation to the critics of her shoddy work. Now she thinks she can dress up in thrift store clothes and get a pseudo orchestra (which she refuses to pay) to rehabilitate her image. The problem is, she has no talent. None. Not one iota of natural talent. So, this album, like all her others, she is a technical mess and artistically forgettable.
Possibly she will find some passing interest from her therapist.
