Huge step up for the band. The album is amazing although some songs run pretty short and leave you wanting more. Album ranks up there with some of the genres greats ie. Under Soil and dirt and The Upsides.
some catchy tracks. Namely "early retirement". Even if it is the most corny track ever it is still extremely fun to sing along to. The rest of the album is okay. Instrumentally nothing amazing. Vocals could be better. Was still fun to listen to though !
Presumably people are expecting far more from this band than their mission statement declared. Does what it says on the tin to a high quality, full of hooks with subtle nods towards different aspects of the punk genre such as ska punk. A staple in the new wave pop punk landscape
This album really is a guilty pleasure. People are expecting way too much from this band. The album is called "Angst" for christ's sake. Nevertheless, these guys wanted to create a catchy album that brings listeners back to their younger days. Ala sounds of garage doors opening and closing at the beginning and end of the album, bike riding, love, parental relationships. All the things you would expect from a teenager's life.
if you avoid the chorus of "long october" and all of "early retirement," this is actually pretty damn catchy. it's
definitely a guilty pleasure for me. the average rating for this will be like a 2.9 though. the new Such Gold
shits all over this
