The best Gastr del Sol, IMO. A little more subdued and way more consistent than previous albums. Fewer frantic, angular acoustic guitar lines and more slow, angular guitar lines. Bizarre chords and beautiful melodies. O'Rourke's musique concrete and Fahey worship with David Grubbs' strangely gorgeous piano playing makes for an album of twisted Americana.
