I don't know if I am missing something or what but I thought this was boring a shit. There just really isn't enough going for the record to keep the zzzs from coming on. I can usually dig melodic/progressive metal but this record really doesn't have any thing that makes it stand out. No balls whatsoever
Oddland deserve a lot more recognition for writing one of the best metal albums of the year thus far, without relying on cliches or harsh vocals. Very complex yet very listenable. This is my progressive metal find of the year, just as Leprous was last year.
This album has 10 brilliant songs with each of them having their own memorable compositions
and all those "wow" moments. After half a year of frequent listening, it's still just as
awesome. AOTY 5/5
