I love this artist for all of the immense stuff he imbues his music with, but four albums later I feel like this is Black Swan all over again again again. Still, it's lovely music and this time around it's not quite so dark and mysterious. A cool change, but it's so subtle that it barely registers. This is Black Swan on the decline, pumping out the same material that entranced people back in 2010 with half the poise and elegance.
it's a drone album, it drones, it drones in the same way as the other black swan albums with a very slightly different tone. what were you guys expecting, really?
