The riffs are heavy, the breakdowns are well placed, and the clean vocals are tastefully done. Call me crazy, but while this isn't the best metal record of 2012 by any means its one of my favorites so far. They also have FTFD's former drummer m/

I don't see what all the hype is about. The overuse of boring breakdowns absolutely ruin what would otherwise be a fluid and free-running album. Ultimately this cliche and residence in the congested Metalcore genre plague the album. The inclusion of melodic vocals are a plus, however the breakdowns completely ruin any flow the album was generating.

come one people, its getting ridiculous how many people comment on there being predictable breakdowns and clean vocals. This is the best The ghost inside have ever been, musically and lyrically. if you're into this type of hardcore i'm surprised you're not blown away by this album. Its a masterpiece, this was well worth the 2 or so year wait. basically, i'm going to say it, this album for me is already going to be the album of 2012. i can say this already because i haven't been blown away by an album for years and this does exactly that.

This album is the same as the last 2 to me just with more random cleans which is fine, however I really don't
hear any progression that everyone is talking about. I like this band and I'm fine if they really don't change too
much. Dark Horse is so awesome though with Jeremy Mckinnon's cleans in it.

A shame that this is not as good as Returners, missing all of the great melodic parts that was what made Returners excellent. Also, the vocals at the end of 'Engine 45' are cringe worthy, but I'm rating this high cause I'm a TGI fanboi.

Some very predictable breakdowns and chugging at places, but also some very good songs none the less. I've been a fan since Fury and the Fallen Ones, and personally I still think that's better than Returners. The newest offering from TGI has me changing my mind to say that Give What You Give is now my favorite. The album is very well produced, as just about every song transitions into the next smoothly. The Ghost Inside has never been known for clean vocals, but the spare use of them in certain songs really helped add some unexpected flavor. They sound as if they are leading to a more For the Fallen Dreams sound (hints their new drummer). I also like FTFD, so that's no problem with me. I have to say I am not dissappointed with their newest release and will be content until their next effort.
