  • SowingSeason I definitely will! Might take longer than I'd want as I'm currently obsessing over the surprise Brand New album, but I am interested and will get to it as soon as I have a chance to digest and review Science Fiction.
    August 18 09:07 AM
  • EvoHavok PL bringing the real doom and gloom, while still being catchy sometimes. And yeah, the Sukekiyo album is so, so eclectic.
    August 6 06:14 AM
  • EvoHavok Sweet rating for Medusa. Btw, I see you still haven't rated Adoratio. In case it's because of the download link, got another for ya: https://mega.nz/#!ZNkV3DjC!TvYALemLrKLTPF8EkjZMxJ5nUCpIiGo0MDjieX5TuZ4

  • EvoHavok Still works on my end.
    July 4 03:38 AM
  • EvoHavok The actual link or the archive? You need 7-Zip for the latter.
    July 3 10:51 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity The link works for me, idk why it doesn't for you :/
    July 2 04:00 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hope you like Adoratio ;)
    June 30 11:58 AM
  • EvoHavok No, it's extremely slow. I am glad the shoutbox page didn't get timed out or anything hahah.
    June 28 07:52 AM
  • EvoHavok Lol well, I wasn't quite sure how to answer that cuz imo their older stuff wasn't too far from DEG quality in the first place, but I know it was for you.
    June 28 07:19 AM
  • EvoHavok I have a longer description for it in my last list, if you wanna read that.
    June 28 06:09 AM
  • EvoHavok It doesn't sound like DEG, nor should it, other than Kyo singing in both bands. On this new album, they went for more electronics, occasionally industrial-ish grooves, while keeping the unpredictable nature and lush compositions. Maybe it'll be easier for you to get into it compared to Immortalis. Link: https://vk.com/doc139825337_447469351?hash=b03413cd0f73b7f384
    June 28 06:07 AM
  • EvoHavok I know you're not the biggest fan of Sukekiyo, but the new one is different and unexpected in many ways, so you may enjoy it more. Would you like a link to it?
    June 28 02:45 AM
  • MO will download the DLC either today or tomorrow, if you want to add me my psn is NicOPETH...go figure right :P
    June 19 09:55 AM
  • ScuroFantasma Recent stuff? Well I'm diggin this Herrwulf album I found a couple days ago (rad BM), Nokturnal Mortum's latest ruuuuulless highly recommend if you haven't given that a go yet. Other than that I've been pretty slack honestly with new stuff. A few albums I've only jammed once or so, new Eglise for example, which is good but not amazing. How about you? Anything other than Solstafir I should be checking?
    May 27 09:44 AM
  • ScuroFantasma Hey man, I'm pretty swell bro how about you?
    May 27 08:54 AM
  • LifeFeedsOnLife Thanks, man.. I really do love writing, but between my blue-collar career and self-imposed deadline anxiety, it takes quite a bit for me to commit to something outside my day to day grind.. I'll review again, It'll just take me a minute longer than most.
    May 27 03:28 AM
  • LifeFeedsOnLife Take it away, m8... haha!
    May 27 02:50 AM
  • LifeFeedsOnLife Got a bit going on in the world these days, but I'll see what I can do.. Thanks for reminding me new Solstafir exists, btw.. Review is boss.
    May 27 02:49 AM
  • LifeFeedsOnLife Any plans for reviewing the new 3TEETH? I'd like to, but I think I've done one positive review too many for the time being. Hate to lose my (not) cred.
    May 27 02:26 AM
  • Dewinged Yo Gonzo, checking it now. Impressed! This sounds really good dude!
    May 23 04:07 AM
  • SowingSeason sweet, I'll check it out tomorrow on my day off
    May 21 08:05 AM
  • Rowan5215 sludgy vibes from this thing, I love it. as I think I said last time, your guitarist deserves some serious props. also some old school post-punk vibes from the vocals, dunno if it was intentional but I dig
    May 21 07:42 AM
  • zakalwe Nah, the thing rocks mate.
    May 20 12:40 PM
  • zakalwe Love it but by Christ it goes on a bit.
    May 20 10:00 AM
  • Rowan5215 I'll give it a whirl soon as I get home my man!
    May 20 12:28 AM
  • EvoHavok I expected a 2, got a 2. Knew I'd like the title track the most based on its story and description from interviews and before hearing the album I saw a live video from the Kimmel show this morning where they dedicated it to Chris, which was a nice gesture.
    May 19 03:50 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Mathematics, Mathematical Biology for my possible PhD.
    May 19 03:21 PM
  • EvoHavok Enjoying the weekend for now. I should jam so much stuff, but LP had priority for whatever reason haha. You?
    May 19 03:11 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity For this academic year yeah, then it's my Master's year next year.
    May 19 02:53 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I have exams next week and I have to go into Uni tomorrow so...stressful ._. Just bought some Sukekiyo postcards though to cheer up and so I don't lose them for months again, you?
    May 19 02:31 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity The second half was better with the first, liked how the band opened up in he instrumental parts. good stuff man.
    May 19 02:18 PM
  • EvoHavok Very nice! Loving the guitar and the tempo variations, plus some sweet drum parts in the middle and near the end, and of course the extra grit from your bass. Btw, is your vocalist a fan of Blur? There are some moments in all the songs where he kinda reminds me of Damon Albarn, on stuff like Parklife.
    May 19 01:20 PM
  • Dewinged Yo Gonzo, just checking your stuff now. I like it man, you guys sound tight. Only the guitar delay at the beginning sounds a bit out of control, if I were to be picky. What's your part?
    May 9 04:35 AM
  • SowingSeason Please do!
    May 6 07:42 AM
  • SowingSeason Not bad at all. My favorite part was the drum variation during the second half and the wailing guitar solo in the background. Definitely ended up rocking much harder than I thought it would after the first minute. You guys are pretty decent; you signed to a label or anything? How long have you been together as a band? My interest is piqued.
    May 3 12:33 PM
  • Mort. its going alright man, what are you up to these days?
    April 29 07:09 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity They're soon. Just Uni in general and a charity event on Wednesday. Need to get the highest grades possible.
    April 29 06:26 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity ****ing hell been too busy, finally checked it. The solo at 2:58 is excellent, enjoyed the track :]
    April 29 05:17 AM
  • SowingSeason Ooh. Will check!
    April 28 08:52 PM
  • CaimanJesus Ye I'm down for more
    April 27 09:55 PM
  • Mort. im good man, just got exams and essay deadlines coming up so doing that all the time.
    April 27 11:06 AM
  • Mort. i really like how the guitar sounds, its nicely atmospheric. the drums sound a bit naff to me production wise tho.
    April 27 07:36 AM
  • CaimanJesus I thought it was pretty good, about on par with the stuff from your first album.
    April 27 01:44 AM
  • Tunaboy45 When I get home tomorrow I'll check it out and let you know what I think!
    April 26 05:46 PM
  • Davil667 Thx for sharing your sound and asking for my opinion on it pal. I'ts def not my usual kind of go-to music but it somehow hit me in the right mood. Just came home from a fckng awful working day and it went down pretty well. Chill and relaxing, pretty good mixed if a bit muffled sounding. All in all a very enjoyable listen. So cheers!
    April 26 03:11 PM
  • EvoHavok Nice song. Nailing that night-driving feel again.
    April 26 02:21 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I shall check tomorrow, really busy today.
    April 26 01:02 PM
  • danielcardoso Hey man i dug it :D
    April 26 12:01 PM
  • Angelboros Left a comment on your most recent list, broham. Good song
    April 26 10:03 AM
  • UniqueUniverse Sure, please do.
    April 26 09:08 AM
  • UniqueUniverse Ok, so I gave your single a listen and I have to say I enjoyed it. Definitely much better put together than a lot of the stuff off of your EP. And I love the instrumentation. So all-in-all, great songwriting, decent production, though still quite muddy, I don't really care for the vocals, but they're fine. That's it so far. The track is really engrossing towards the end and it definitely got me looking forward to the album. Thanks for sharing.
    April 26 07:41 AM
  • Rowan5215 please do man
    April 26 07:09 AM
  • Rowan5215 just remember I'm hardly an expert, thought when the drums kicked in around the halfway point they were a little bit muffled and needed a little bit of bite to them. and I couldn't hear much of you on bass so get em to turn you up next time!
    April 26 06:50 AM
  • zakalwe I'm going to fork out a fiver on the album. I've definitely purchased worse in me time.
    April 26 06:49 AM
  • zakalwe There's something genuine going on here, vox are a tad iffy in places but great in others. I dig it mate I really do.
    April 26 06:35 AM
  • Rowan5215 what instrument(s) do you play man? really like the shoegazey guitar on this. mixing could be better is my only real complaint
    April 26 06:32 AM
  • EvoHavok No problem, glad to help :). Yandex only allows 10 GB upload on a free account, and my 1080p encodes ended up being about 8.5 GB for Vulgar, 8.1 for DSS and 10.4 for Kisou, so I had to pick between one of the first two. You should probably watch the other two on Youtube soon before anything happens to them or the uploader's account hah.
    April 7 04:36 AM
  • EvoHavok As I've said, I only uploaded the DSS concert on the host that allows streaming, the one you saw. The other two links are not my rips. I uploaded all of mine on Jpopsuki, which is an invite-only private torrent site where I got the source files from; there's no streaming there, you can only fully download the real files. Either way, if you just want to stream them, someone uploaded the full shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkNcNTuGj0g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feIU3jR175c
    April 6 04:05 PM
  • EvoHavok Yeah, I ripped all 3 and put them on a private tracker. The stream quality is much lower, btw. You should have downloaded it haha.
    April 6 07:42 AM
  • EvoHavok DSS was my rip btw. Unfortunately that host does not allow me to upload my other two rips. I think someone put them on Youtube, though.
    April 6 04:56 AM
  • EvoHavok Proper Mode of DSS rating :).
    April 6 04:21 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Yeah it was, IMO worst of the 3 though. The Vantias and Hage performances were so good doe.
    April 4 08:28 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity eyyyy you're welcome. Vulgar is so fun and Kisou's ballads are mindblowing.
    April 4 05:04 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I've only personally used the 2nd file there, I watched Vulgar and Kisou with different files but these are the only public ones so I hope they are just as good.

  • CalculatingInfinity Anima is a single but people here put singles here as EPs and it's retarded, but yeah Vitium is short so it's an EP. You should really check one of their lives sometime.
    March 4 04:54 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity No probs man :]
    March 4 04:29 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, despite 3'ing one of their albums (which is reasonable, I'd 2.5 it tbh) I'd thought I'd tell you a spicy offer. I'm selling Sukekiyo's Persuasio, Limited edition sealed for 30. Imo better than almost all of Dir en Grey's lives. Interested?
    March 4 09:09 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews congratulations on the contributor ascension btw

  • ScuroFantasma Right back at you man!
    February 27 06:35 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Ooooooo new John 5, hope that will be good.
    February 27 05:07 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity All the Dir shows I have are: DSS Budokan Limited Edition, Uroboros Budokan on Blu Ray, the DVD with the pre order limited edition Rinkaku single, Tour 13 Ghoul limited edition, Tour 14 Gauze (this is almost impossible to get now), and Tour 08 Rose Trims limited edition. The next on my list is Arche Budokan limited edition, what a stunning show (which grew over time). If the next 3 Tour Of's are stunning I'll buy them as well, plus I eventually need to get Blitz 5 Days and 5 Ugly Kingdom.
    February 27 05:07 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Yeah only thing really worth listening to by them is the Mitch Memorial Show. I'm doing fine, been really busy with Uni and pondering decisions for the future. Music wise absolutely **** all tbh haha, been buying a ton of music though. Just mainly waiting for the new Dir and Buck Tick lives to come out in March/April. How about yourself?
    February 27 04:26 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Those Suicide Silence ratings damn vicious.
    February 27 01:54 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Congrats on contributor, deserve it hard :D

  • trackbytrackreviews I've been on the hospital and uh, some emotional issues here and there, and lots of school and school...
    February 1 10:25 PM
  • SowingSeason The process may be a little different this year but I can't say much more without giving it away. Either way, changes should be coming soon and I'd reckon you have a better chance than most to nab a contrib gig. If there's an application process I'm certain you'll see it on the front page, but I'll try to let you know.
    January 24 08:34 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Yeah in 2003, don't let Tour of Vulgarism put you off because I enjoyed it as much as Tour 14 Gauze and it has my single favorite performance they ever did. Superb sum up of their early days and vastly improves on the source material (especially Macabre, Six Ugly and Kisou).
    January 20 03:09 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Just wondering, you ever watched Blitz 5 Days?
    January 19 11:49 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Only for AQA Vol 1/2 and Tour 12-13 though as you know, which I refuse to buy just for having their limited editions DVD only.
    December 25 10:44 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Merry Christmas, also....Blu Rays. I'm not a DVD peasant ;) Have a good one.
    December 25 06:45 AM
  • Angelboros Oh, thanks, Murray X-mas to you, too!
    December 25 06:42 AM
  • EvoHavok Thanks. Merry Christmas!

  • EvoHavok You know the one from the TV special? Very emotional: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEdh7bveQP0
    November 18 02:58 AM
  • EvoHavok What a track. Good to have the Day 1 version where he keeps his cool; all other live versions have him breaking down in the second half, but that's still poignant in its own way.
    November 17 01:45 PM
  • EvoHavok Indeed. I have a hard time placing it in my live ranking draft.
    November 14 04:54 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Pretty much, makes Ghoul a God send plus it has incredible live performances. Also I won't buy Tour Rasa or AQA due to the fact they have only DVD limited editions, not Blu Ray limited editions. Glad they stopped doing that.
    November 13 09:06 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Dir never subbing their docs drives me ****ing insane, need to keep doing it for all of their release. Also Blitz 5 Days completely shocked me in becoming my joint 4th best show by them (matching Tour Gauze), despite it being early Diru it's very special.
    November 13 08:53 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Obvious pick I know hehe :P But Ghoul and Uroboros' Budokan come close.
    November 13 08:48 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Dum Spiro Spero's Budokan show, had me in tears by the end. Archekan did have some incredible moments though undeniably, can't wait for the new Tour Blu Rays to come out.
    November 13 08:43 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Pretty superb yeah but it would be my 7th or 8th fav show by them.
    November 13 08:39 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity About time you got on Archekan ;)
    November 13 08:35 AM
  • EvoHavok Ohhh yeah! Day 1 Phenomenon, Tousei, Rinkaku, Tefu Tefu are so incredible and KR Cube is such a fun track to ressurect. Which were your favs?

  • Tunaboy45 I might review it at some point but for now I'm just enjoying it, maybe in a week or two.
    June 18 06:40 AM
  • Tunaboy45 They're not my favourite band in the genre but I've enjoyed all of their albums and Magma is no different. Seems to be dividing fans, with some thinking it's the next step of their evolution and others thinking it's too simplistic. I'm with the former.
    June 17 01:18 PM
  • Tunaboy45 Will you be giving the new Gojira a listen?
    June 17 11:44 AM
  • Aberf Hell yeah, DOZING GREEN!
    April 30 10:53 PM
  • Tunaboy45 Yeah, just a week away. I'll make a note to listen to your ep once I'm back!
    April 5 04:45 PM
  • Tunaboy45 I'm away right now man and internet access is kind of limited, back Friday though so I'll give it a listen then.
    April 5 06:36 AM
  • EvoHavok Well, that's just what I imagined when hearing it. The cover photo helped too.
    April 3 03:52 AM
  • EvoHavok Stuff from Six Ugly works really well in a live setting, among songs from other albums. As an EP it's just too one-sided cuz they aimed for that specific Americanized sound.
    April 3 03:52 AM
  • EvoHavok Nah, I just wanted to hear it again at that point. Your EP is rather nice. I like the last track, especially; it showcases the stoner rock/ambient sound very well at its 5 minute runtime, with the desert rock vibes akin to a fervent ride on a sunny day seguing seamlessly to a trip under dark skies later on.
    April 3 03:42 AM
  • EvoHavok Pretty fine. Just finished a rejamming of the Six Ugly EP, actually. You?
    April 2 03:40 AM
  • EvoHavok Added you.
    April 2 03:18 AM
  • EvoHavok Hahaha, you don't know my real name so you couldn't know which person from the list of likes is me :P.
    April 2 01:34 AM
  • MO Thanks dude! We're from Ottawa, Canada. It's funny our producer walked out after recording the guitars and we weren't able to change tones AT ALL, that's why they're a bit low in the mix. But good to know some people still dig em.
    April 1 02:53 PM
  • EvoHavok Oh yeah, saw something about it on FB today. I will give it a try these days.
    April 1 02:39 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity You mind if I check it Sunday? Because I'm pretty braindead with essay writing atm.
    April 1 11:44 AM
  • ScuroFantasma Sure do man. Coincidentally I was actually jamming your first today and saw your second one up on Bandcamp but there was no stream then, just CD options.

  • EvoHavok For sure, that person really put effort in all those encodings. I waited for my DSS Budokan rating to be a special number :).
    January 14 10:10 AM

    January 13 12:19 PM

  • EvoHavok If you don't want to download DSS at Nippon Budokan (although the 720p rip from the site is quite the looker), you can find the concerts on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ELCDk8Y4Jg (part 1)
    January 11 03:43 PM
  • EvoHavok I think sput messed up the whole message. You can find Tour14 on Japan-discoveries. DSS at Budokan and In Situ-Tabula Rasa are at CdJapan and Japan-discoveries. This site has rips for a lot of stuff: https://theninjapanda.wordpress.com/downloads/live-dvds/
    January 11 03:37 PM
  • EvoHavok You can buy the fanclub only Tour14 here: http://japan-discoveries.com/index.php?main_page=product_music_info
    January 11 03:33 PM
  • EvoHavok Btw, I added some Diru live albums from the last few years. Give a rating if you've watched them or check them out if you haven't :D.
    January 9 06:26 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I just brought Tour 13 Ghoul limited edition Blu Ray...for only 34 new. Got to love new year clearences ;)
    January 4 07:26 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity It's basically impossible to buy, it's a fanclub only show that'll cost you 200 to get on Blu Ray now. Here's a 1080rip of the full live (Disc 1: https://mega.nz/#F!utV2TLDb!Jg2WpPjC5TeDKtyVjyzM8A)
    January 4 06:16 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, have you watched this? Without a doubt, the best live I've seen by them: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=211991
    January 3 09:12 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews I think We Lost the Sea is better, have you listened to it? In any case, I don't have enough albums for the Users top 10
    December 17 03:04 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews Hmm, let's see, BMTH That's the Spirit, Alesana's Confessions, We Lost the Sea' Departure Songs, Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly and No Devotion's Permanence
    December 17 04:27 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews This is the problem, I have no idea what to pick, at most I only listened to 4-5 new albums this year
    December 16 10:57 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews What's your top album of 2015?
    December 14 11:58 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Unfortunately I have to wait until I get all the limited editions I want until I buy it, and I'd get the limited Blu Ray of that too lol. The DSS one is on YT, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlKNiIhLAH0
    December 13 07:22 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Aye it's why I asked, I watched the DDS live doc and it was pretty boring. No narriative or new info or subs, mainly just them playing. I can't find it online, so I'll have to buy the DVD at a later date.
    December 13 07:15 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Also is the sub online or on the DVD?
    December 13 07:01 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Thanks very much, I'll keep that in mind. I'd like to watch a doc because the live shows kinda depress me, they shouldn't tour so much and basically murder Kyo's throat to oblivion.
    December 13 06:55 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, got a question. Is any of the Diru documentries worth watching and are there any dubs anywhere?
    December 13 06:43 AM
  • Tunaboy45 With all the troubles he's had recently it wouldn't surprise me.
    December 4 11:18 AM
  • Tunaboy45 Can't believe Scott is dead, he hadn't been looking too good lately though so maybe he was using again.
    December 4 06:00 AM
  • Tunaboy45 Checked out START, really enjoyed it actually.
    December 3 03:08 PM
  • Tunaboy45 If I can see Rammstein, Tool and Radiohead I can die a happy man. It seems like they're not as committed as they used to be but one more world tour would be perfect.
    December 2 04:46 AM
  • Tunaboy45 With Rammstein playing download next year and working on a new album, do you think they'll do a full tour of the UK?
    December 1 05:53 PM
  • Toondude10 of course, I wouldn't ask if I didn't :P
    November 18 10:06 AM
  • Toondude10 where'd you go?

    June 22 07:11 PM
  • Angelboros I'd like to either see you or Tunaboy tackle the album, if I'm being honest here, though it really doesn't matter too much. Maybe if someone else were to review it, then they probably wouldn't be able to take the record at face value. By the way, Rammstein's Pussy is still glorious.
    June 18 02:09 PM
  • Angelboros Hey, Gonz, are you planning on reviewing the new Lindemann album? I'm just wondering, is all.
    June 18 01:18 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews Yeah really the only electronic track I have on my iPhone is Strobe
    May 21 12:53 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews I think I might lower them...electronic music has never been my thing really, and I think I rated them so high only to match with the averages...
