  • Mongi123 Btw the album you told me about: That average is nice.
    January 22 12:47 PM
  • Mongi123 Ok haha I'm gonna rip this album to pieces when I get the chance with the next couple of days xD
    January 22 12:46 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges You gonna review Omega?
    January 21 10:25 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea not really but I'll possibly try it eventually.
    January 21 09:37 PM
  • Mongi123 Nah really not interested at this point
    January 21 12:24 PM
  • Mongi123 Haha Mongi doesn't approve man xD the clean vocals are horrendous at many points.
    January 21 12:14 PM
  • Mongi123 Alpha: It's bad! lol
    January 19 07:30 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea dude I like it! They haven't had one bad release.
    January 18 05:59 PM
  • Mongi123 Well don't have spotify. But anyway, I'm kinda forward to seeing what chevelle will do next. Also hopefully Thrice will start recording a record soon.
    January 5 08:04 PM
  • Mongi123 Cool man how is it?
    January 5 05:20 PM
  • Mongi123 What already?? They just came out with a new one lol
    January 5 11:45 AM
  • Mongi123 Well I love all of their stuff but this album is them at their best and the rest of sput seems to think so so far.
    January 5 11:38 AM
  • Mongi123 Btw check my dig if you get a chance ;)
    January 5 11:34 AM
  • Mongi123 Really getting into Thrice I see? ****ing love this band. I was gonna try Beggars next. I can see you didn't like that one though haha
    January 5 10:54 AM
  • Mongi123 Yo definitely your best work man. But don't you dare trash my man HZ! One of my favorite composers ;) next to the guy that composed the first Halo trilogy of course.
    December 2 08:04 PM
  • Mongi123 But dude I love my HZ overblown sound tracks haha. The modern warfare 2 music is some of his best work by miles.
    December 2 09:40 AM
  • Mongi123 Oh that movie I've seen. The music was one of my favorite parts of that movie. So ominous like omg. Fantastic film too.
    December 2 07:46 AM
  • Mongi123 Well I'm more a tv show/video game guy but go ahead what albums
    December 2 07:15 AM
  • Mongi123 Yea plus there will definitely be a time where I'll want more music too. We could keep in touch on fb too. And I could do that, but I really haven't heard THAT much this year that's the problem.
    December 1 10:10 PM
  • Mongi123 Well yea I'd most likely not leave for good, but not only do I have enough music to last me a lifetime with many discographies I'm not even close to finishing yet, but I also have a really busy semester coming up so it'll be hard consistently review and keep up with new music so well see what happens. If it comes to it, I may just ask to remove the contributor tag for a while if i find that I can't rev or comment often.
    December 1 09:51 PM
  • Mongi123 Who told you that? But yes possibly I may have to but definitely not yet.
    December 1 09:37 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot left some feedback
    December 1 05:24 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Sure man, it'll have to wait a couple hours though. But yeah I'd be happy to
    December 1 04:05 PM
  • Mongi123 Yes actually. Probably on Monday I'll do it cause I don't has anytime to review this week.
    November 27 09:54 AM
  • Mongi123 Gotcha just wondering! Happy thanksgiving btw fellow american! :)
    November 27 08:57 AM
  • Mongi123 Out of curiosity what made you rev that Paramore album?
    November 26 10:16 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot review looks good man. you *might* get a bit of flak for how short it is, but w/e. If you have a couple additional points to beef it up then I'd suggest that, though tbh it's fine the way it is IMO
    November 26 08:38 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot yo, I left some feedback in the proofreading thread.
    November 26 07:27 PM
  • Mongi123 Also I was listening to some 10 Years in my car today and I can honestly say it pisses me off how underrated they are haha
    November 20 06:27 PM
  • Mongi123 Gotcha I can relate to that it's been a busy week for me too
    November 20 01:53 PM
  • Mongi123 How's that Isis listening going? I'm really looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it.
    November 20 01:46 PM
  • Mongi123 I've seen that one thrown around. You think it's my cup of tea? The genres say otherwise tbh.
    November 19 08:23 PM
  • Mongi123 Like tip for that one: listen to it with headphones or an awesome sound system. You won't regret it. It's so immersive.
    November 18 07:36 PM
  • Mongi123 Yo man try this goddamn monster. One of my favorite albums of all time ;)
    November 18 07:31 PM
  • Mongi123 Haha a 2 for the new nickeldick? Well good for them!
    November 13 07:14 PM
  • Mongi123 I asked them again it's so weird haha
    November 10 09:55 AM
  • Mongi123 So dude what's with haha
    November 10 09:30 AM
  • Mongi123 Yea Atonement and Harbinger in particular are ****ing amazing. Pretty nostalgic band for me.
    November 7 01:30 PM
  • Mongi123 I gotta say, the one I listen to the most from this year is definitely Lowborn.
    November 7 12:24 PM
  • Mongi123 His voice is pretty good yea. The second was the best definitely.
    November 7 12:18 PM
  • Mongi123 This was pretty sweet man. The second song in particular left quite a mark on me. The only problem is I can't picture myself jamming this really often. It's not the album itself, I think it's this style in general but I respect it for what it is :)
    November 7 12:12 PM
  • Mongi123 Cool I'll definitely read it. Since you recd it I'll listen to it but that kid hasn't taken a single rec from me and I've recd me countless things lol so I stopped trying.
    November 6 11:33 PM
  • Mongi123 Thanks dude, but how's that a crime lol that's damn high. It'll go very down soon though cause sput doesn't like to give anything new anything above a 4.2 nowadays haha
    November 6 08:43 PM
  • Mongi123 Whoa 5 haha. Alright dude, sorry I just lost my grandpa suddenly. The wake was yesterday and the funeral was today so I get to some more new music tomorrow when everything is back to "normal"
    November 6 08:12 PM
  • Futures agreed i will do that as well.
    November 5 09:51 PM
  • Futures hitting me harder than any album i've listen to in a while.
    November 5 09:30 PM
  • Futures glad you liked the damien rice album as much as i did man!
    November 5 08:19 PM
  • Mongi123 All of Axe to Fall leads up to Wretched World imo, you won't be disappointed and it'll take you by surprise. It's....different.
    October 31 07:51 PM
  • Mongi123 Dude get Wretched World by Converge a listen holy ****, the best song I've heard from them so far.
    October 31 07:44 PM
  • Mongi123 Nice man I'll give it a read.
    October 31 07:24 PM
  • Mongi123 We have Wolves in the Throne Room, Wolves at the Gate, that band and even Ulver is Norwegian for wolves lol. And nice Jane Doe rating, I concur.
    October 31 04:34 PM
  • Mongi123 That was pretty good. Seriously though, what is with a lot of band's obsession with the word "wolves" lol
    October 31 09:45 AM
  • Arcade not really, just remembered to rate their albums! haha
    October 30 11:43 PM
  • Mongi123 Yep :) so have you jammed any Ulver yet?
    October 30 10:16 PM
  • Mongi123 That's pretty good. Vocals are kinda standard but it was nice.
    October 30 09:31 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh nice but yea Dark Horse is amazing. I actually started Converge with Axe to Fall.
    October 30 09:20 PM
  • Mongi123 Nice I've tried All We Love We Leave Behind, Axe to Fall and Jane Doe. Love them all. Axe to Fall has the best closer ever.
    October 30 09:15 PM
  • Mongi123 Nice Converge rating man. Just tried Jane Doe today and it was amazing
    October 30 09:11 PM
  • ASnideReturns I'm still on Deviantart / Facebook -
    October 26 05:10 PM
  • Judio! Cool man thanks, will check it out soon
    October 24 01:10 PM
  • Mongi123 Yoooo add him to the database if you can. Just listened to the first track and it was awesome. I have s*** to do this morning and afternoon so if you don't have time to do it I'll do it later.
    October 24 10:11 AM
  • Mongi123 Cool I'll give it a try when I get some time later. Who's the user?
    October 24 09:32 AM
  • Arcade getting ready to review either Black Veil Brides or Run the Jewels for next week so i'll see how it fits in
    October 22 09:56 PM
  • Arcade Veto, if memory serves me right
    October 22 08:44 PM
  • Arcade once, i had a raving metalhead loony at my school who ranted on about them so when i have them a go it may not have been a fair shot (lol). why?
    October 22 08:34 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea bro! Not typical post rock cause it was still in it's early stages but I recommend trying all of that album it's amazing. I've been getting into a lot of early genre stuff lately like King Crimson for prog and Bark Psychosis and Talk Talk for post rock.
    October 22 08:02 PM
  • Mongi123 From one of their albums that pretty much helped to pioneer post rock. Hope you enjoy :)
    October 22 07:20 PM
  • Mongi123 Ahh idk man. I'm sure it's fantastic but I'd rather stick to actual albums for now. In the future I'll prob watch it but yes M/M was pretty awesome. Nothing as mind blowing as Vhessiu but had it's fair share of gems.
    October 19 10:51 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh ok. That's another one I may end up 5ing.
    October 19 10:03 PM
  • Mongi123 Possibly, did you ever finish Shadows of the Sun by Ulver?
    October 19 07:14 PM
  • Mongi123 I know art rec'd them to me actually. Not very high on my list considering how much I wanna get into Thrice, Ulver, Pink Floyd and Talk Talk more haha
    October 19 06:43 PM
  • Mongi123 Ahh yes that 4.5 :D I was also planning on listening to m/m later if I had time.
    October 19 05:50 PM
  • Mongi123 No I haven't yet actually I gotta watch that
    October 19 10:10 AM
  • SowingSeason Yeah I know it isn't technically that great, but nothing by Paramore ever was and it's a catchy record.
    October 18 10:11 PM
  • Mongi123 Damn new song already? Alright well I'll try it in a little bit.
    October 18 09:54 AM
  • Mongi123 Cool, try Awake it's a lot darker and more atmospheric than their more famous ones.
    October 16 10:27 AM
  • Mongi123 Getting into dream theater I see? Cool, but I can't get into hem as much as the rest of sput. Awake is goddamn awesome.
    October 16 09:16 AM
  • Mongi123 I bumped that rating up too recently. My God is the Sun is so awesome.
    October 10 11:23 AM
  • Mongi123 I know man I saw sweet! I gotta jam songs for the deaf again it's been like years I think haha
    October 10 11:02 AM
  • Mongi123 That one may end up being a 5 for me too honestly haha perfect winter album too and it's short and sweet.
    October 10 10:52 AM
  • Mongi123 Dude is vocals are killer! Doesn't take itself too seriously and the lyrics rule too. A lot of the album is a bit darker than that one but it's still amazing. I recommend starting with Shadows Of The Sun with you I think you'll love it. Lots and lots of ambiance and strings it's bleak and beautiful.
    October 10 10:49 AM
  • Mongi123 I have their bm/folk debut 5d and I think you'd REALLY love their album Shadows Of The Sun.
    October 10 10:33 AM
  • Mongi123 Yea that song was a bit samey. Also you ever listen to Ulver? Them and Thrice are my new favorites lately. I'm never normally that big on electronic stuff but Perdition City is incredible. Try this bad boy :)
    October 10 10:33 AM
  • Mongi123 Also that first song kinda sounded like Animals as Leaders. Pretty good, if a bit too technically for my liking.
    October 10 10:25 AM
  • Mongi123 Oh by far. Shiver is pretty sweet too. Though I'm not a huge fan of Chris Martin's voice though he's kinda annoying.
    October 10 10:17 AM
  • Mongi123 Yea listen to more thrice dude! And you like Coldplay, their early stuff is pretty solid and clocks is probably the best radio song ever. It's so stunning.
    October 10 10:04 AM
  • Mongi123 Alright dude I'll give it a try when I have the chance but vol 2 was awesome air was amazing but earth was a tad underwhelming at times. Vol 1 was a bit better as a whole.
    October 10 09:29 AM
  • scottpilgrim10 It looks really deep. Also Calvin and Hobbes is the best sunday comic by far
    October 6 09:14 PM
  • scottpilgrim10 sweet new avatar dude
    October 6 08:27 PM
  • Mongi123 Sweeeeee episode. The King to be needs to calm down a bit, but great set up. More insight into how Korra got here will be in episode 2 and I LOVE the idea of a civilized military tyrant being the villain this time around.
    October 3 03:00 PM
  • Mongi123 Cool! Disappointed they didn't air two like they normally do but new avatar is new avatar nonetheless.
    October 3 11:53 AM
  • Mongi123 I know did you watch it yet? I actually have a doc appointment to go to in a bit so I'll watch it later.
    October 3 11:46 AM
  • Mongi123 I know I'll get to that one soon. Gotta get more engrossed into this one first.
    October 2 08:02 PM
  • Mongi123 Yes I believe you are correct sir. Amazing album.
    October 2 05:15 PM
  • Mongi123 I also have vheissu at a 5 now haha
    October 2 04:03 PM
  • Mongi123 Dude I'm loving The Alchemy Index Fire And Water! It's funny, you recd thrice to me but you barely listen to them. You gotta change that ;)
    October 2 03:20 PM
  • Green Baron Kind of, I still post reviews, but I don't comment anymore - ever since I reached 20K comments, I realized it was a good time to stop. And I stopped 2 weeks before that, but I was only approaching the threshold.
    October 1 06:00 PM
  • Mongi123 Gotcha, will read in a bit.
    September 29 04:55 PM
  • Mongi123 I see you don't have that album rated. Did you listen to vhesu?
    September 14 05:17 PM
  • Mongi123 Most likely yea. Don't know when though because I'm way too hooked on this one now haha
    September 14 01:29 PM
  • Mongi123 Yo thanks for the thrice rec man. This album...Holy ****.
    September 14 11:45 AM
  • Mongi123 Well I've certainly missed it consider I've only tried two of their albums haha but I'll try it in like 20 minutes. Locked into SR atm ;)
    September 13 06:39 PM
  • Mongi123 Yes my friend you certainly do
    September 12 01:28 PM
  • Mongi123 They grow on ya if you listen enough. That whole album as a whole is a big heavier and less atmospheric than The Mantle I think you'd love it. 4-4.5 I'd predict.
    September 11 07:24 PM
  • Mongi123 Try this s***, it's ****ing awesome.
    September 11 07:15 PM
  • ASnideReturns I have a 5/5 review up on one of them, if they wipe those ratings I'll simply explain to the mods that I legit view all three of BVB's currently released albums as a 5/5
    September 11 11:55 AM
  • Mongi123 Good lord if I must
    September 9 07:51 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh really? Idk if I'll listen to that one cause it's honestly not my thing but they make cool music.
    September 9 05:54 PM
  • Insurrection Thats interesting, haha. Was it the first IF you heard? Lunar Strain is probably my favorite but theres something to like in every IF album imo, even Siren Charms
    September 8 10:13 PM
  • Insurrection Dude is Reroute really your favorite In Flames? Dont think ive heard that opinion before
    September 8 08:19 PM
  • Mongi123 Hey if anything PT's are awkward sometimes but don't wanna put down my fav band here haha
    September 6 10:16 PM
  • Mongi123 Dude the heavy to light contrast is perfect. That's one of the things that Opeth is known for. Mikael's growls are also just like not human at all.
    September 6 09:42 PM
  • Mongi123 LOL for a second I thought you meant from the album itself but nonetheless: how you like it??
    September 6 09:27 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea dude I'll try them out soon definitely. So when you gonna try out BWP?
    September 6 09:25 PM
  • SharkTooth Hey Toondude, you aren't allowed to rate albums rated 4.4 anything below a 2 without a review, it's general Sputnik policy
    September 6 08:11 PM
  • Mongi123 Yo Thrice is good s***
    September 6 05:37 PM
  • Arcade agrdahrd
    September 5 09:27 AM
  • Arcade agreed, the first 5 tracks and Grim Heart/Black Rose are soooo f u c k ing good
    September 4 10:29 PM
  • Arcade i thought for a while about doing a discog in reverse, so i'd start at Jane Doe and go through to All We Love..., then go back and do Halo in a Haystack through When Forever Comes Crashing, but if i were to do one it wouldn't be until late this year/early next year due to studies and work. If they release a new album soon I'll be sure to do one but at the minute it feels unlikely.
    September 4 09:46 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh alright, I'm sure it'll be a cool album. Not my cup of tea to jam a lot though, but that's ok.
    September 4 08:36 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh sweet, hope you love it. And how's the new Sugery Sweet Machine album?
    September 4 08:32 PM
  • Mongi123 Yes I'll look forward to it. Now you go ahead and jam some good ol Blackwater Park now ;)
    September 4 08:28 PM
  • Mongi123 Since you've been pushing me to try them I'll jam one this weekend haha maybe tomorrow or Saturday.
    September 4 08:16 PM
  • Mongi123 Tbh I honestly planned on trying out that one because one of my best friends really wanted me to try it and I was pleasant was pleasantly surprised how awesome it was.
    September 4 08:13 PM
  • Mongi123 In all seriousness are you thinking of doing Phobia at some point?
    September 2 11:42 PM
  • Mongi123 Pssssh nah. It's clearly 0 ;)
    September 2 11:33 PM
  • Mongi123 Really? You think you're not really for that one yet? Understandable if so. That's why I'm waiting until my 100th to do my all timer so I have a bit more experience.
    September 2 11:30 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh I'd be curious to see your Phobia review considering it's your all timer
    September 2 11:25 PM
  • Mongi123 What's that something different haha
    September 2 11:21 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea you better believe it. Also I'd try that Anathema record too. I really wanna review that one next cause I have a lot, like a REAL lot to say about that one. What you planning on reviewing next?
    September 2 11:17 PM
  • Mongi123 Good choice. It's definitely their best and Still Life is pretty popular too. Their so consistent it's incredible. The only one's I'm not really fond of are their most recent two.
    September 2 11:12 PM
  • Mongi123 I guess I'll give them a try then. What Opeth album were you planning on starting with?
    September 2 11:08 PM
  • Mongi123 Well what's wrong with them? If it's the harsher vox I don't mind that anymore. I've been told before the Alchemy ones I should start with.
    September 2 11:05 PM
  • Mongi123 I'd like to give them a try eventually. What's the best place to start?
    September 2 11:02 PM
  • Mongi123 That's good. I may switch to a tech school or something but I'm not quite sure yet. Dammit why can't I just become the front man of the next Tool or something?!
    September 2 10:53 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea Journalism. I really don't quite know how to make a career out of what I write on here so I wanna change my major to something...I don't quite know yet haha. What about you?
    September 2 10:49 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh I'm like that too haha I'm really eager to meet new people this year though and now I have some bitchin autumn/winter music to listen to.
    September 2 10:42 PM
  • Mongi123 That's cool, I have two. Is this gonna be your first year of college or second?
    September 2 10:17 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea same here haha most of my friends work until night time and I work in the mornings mostly so I spent lots of downtime on here. School will be something else to do at least.
    September 2 09:14 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea goddamn school man, summer went by so fast.
    September 2 08:35 PM
  • Mongi123 School's also starting tomorrow so I gotta see how much time I have to listen to new stuff and all that.
    September 2 06:37 PM
  • Mongi123 Idk it was good but didn't wow me. Quite frankly, I really have to catch up on my "essential" listens and listen to more classics like The Cure, Death and stuff like that. After my next rev I'm gonna finish up my deftones stuff too. So you ever consider giving Opeth's discography a go?
    September 2 06:36 PM
  • Mongi123 That was a pretty good song
    September 2 05:07 PM
  • Mongi123 Oh wow I forgot about that. I was out when you sent me that so I'll try it out in a bit
    September 2 04:30 PM
  • Mongi123 I have to re listen to that one it's been a while. Been trying to finish up Opeth though.
    September 2 04:27 PM
  • Mongi123 Nice rating for Clockwork man. Love that record but Rated R is where it's at.
    September 2 04:22 PM
  • Arcade i've only seen like 1 copy in town for like $30AUD so i might get it if it lowers somewhat in price haha
    August 30 10:44 AM
  • Mongi123 Yes, it's quite bleak but it's amazing atmospheric prog and has tons of feels.
    August 29 05:39 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea that's what I mean, I don't think it was the song itself. Now that I'm into harsher vox maybe I should try some of their stuff. Also, have you ever listened to Judgement by Anathema?
    August 29 05:33 PM
  • Mongi123 It was pretty good but I feel like the quality wasn't very good.
    August 29 05:15 PM
  • Mongi123 Ok dude I'll check it out later
    August 28 04:12 PM
  • Mongi123 Lol he's pleb man gotta love em
    August 28 12:48 PM
  • Mongi123 No sir I have not
    August 28 08:56 AM
  • ASnideReturns Well either way enjoy the boost my pos's give ya. A quarter of your reviews didn't even have votes!
    August 26 01:42 PM
  • ASnideReturns Yo, I just boosted your approval rating to 92% from like 85 or something. Cheers mate. I hope my pos's outweigh some of the troll negs.
    August 26 12:28 AM
  • Arcade 'tis, in my glorious sweater
    August 25 10:12 PM
  • Arcade #rasputinendures
    August 25 10:07 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea that album is great and so is Takk but ( ) is my favorite album of all time I think. I'm saving that s*** for a milestone haha
    August 24 01:35 PM
  • Mongi123 Cool man, I think I'll rev 0 next. Something new I love so why not? Have you jammed ( ) more by any chance?
    August 24 01:29 PM
  • Mongi123 Sup dude, so what you thinking of listening to and/or reviewing next?
    August 24 01:25 PM
  • Mongi123 Yea soon, I work all afternoon so maybe after work.
    August 23 08:32 AM
  • Mongi123 Oh ok haha I gotta jam that more to be able to write about it. Plebs should be coming any minute now lol
    August 18 04:09 PM
  • Mongi123 What you mean haha
    August 18 03:41 PM
  • Snowdog808 I understand, and I appreciate what reviews are already there. I bet the next few reviews will be at least as good.

  • ASnideReturns Hey bro, me and Insurrection are releasing an EP in November, would you want to give it a listen?
    August 11 04:55 PM
  • ASnideReturns Eh, I felt like explaining XD
    August 10 08:29 PM
  • ASnideReturns Five aspects that would possibly make me like a band: 1. Mid - Low register male vocals. 2. Specific guitar tones. 3. Any sort of string accompaniment. 4. Technicality. 5. Addictive melodies / hooks. Obviously there are exceptions but those five aspects are what I generally go off of when looking for new music that I like. The more of those categories are filled usually the more I'll like it. That applies to all genres, from Country to Tech Death Metal to Dubstep to Metalcore
    August 10 08:06 PM
  • ASnideReturns Haha yeah man, and why were you surprised that I liked Trophy Scars? I like lower ranged vocals.
    August 10 07:59 PM
  • ASnideReturns It's not that he's high pitched so much as it is his vocal tone, it might be because I'm finishing up a 5/5 Frank Sinatra review and because of that I'm judging all other vocals pretty harshly.
    August 10 07:56 PM
  • ASnideReturns I dig the instrumentals of that Anberlin song hard but something about the vox is throwing me off.
    August 10 07:53 PM

    August 8 09:19 PM
  • ASnideReturns I'll check it later, I'm jamming one of the classical recs I received atm. What genre is Anberlin anyways?
    August 8 09:16 PM

    August 3 07:44 PM
  • Mongi123 Don't know, maybe after ABC. And don't be deceived by her vocals in Weight. She's only a guest vocalist. The real vocalist's singing is more of an intense roar.
    August 3 07:36 PM
  • Mongi123 Also try out this song: It's a ****ing all timer for me and I don't think you've tried Isis yet.
    August 3 07:21 PM
  • Mongi123 I actually haven't listened to anything before Cities. I should finish them off eventually but I wanna get into the more emo/indie rock/post rock scene. I wanna review A Bunny's Caravan next to give them some more exposure.

  • Mongi123 Agallochs style is quite an acquired taste I guess. Stuff like pale companion, odal and the lodge bring the feels.
    July 28 11:14 PM
  • Mongi123 I just bought it. If you can't you could just listen to it song by song on YouTube. Only six tracks on it.
    July 28 04:36 PM
  • Mongi123 Hell yea. You gotta finish The Mantle and also listen to A Bunny's Caravan's album now. Seriously, the last five and a half minutes of it will change your life.
    July 28 04:30 PM
