  • Lowder91bird I finally got around to checking out the album you sent me. I apologize for not listening to it sooner. I have been busy. I really enjoyed the album. My favorite tracks are Velis, dedsik, and Norgon. I will give it another listen before I give it a rating. I look forward to hearing your next release.
    May 27 01:56 AM
  • Jasdevi087 yeah there doesn't seem to be one unfortunately. who doesn't want a good hour and a half of a topless chick covered in cow blood screaming?
    May 22 08:50 PM
  • Frippertronics Heard Gone to Earth a while back. Safe to say, it needs to be rechecked because I wasn't too huge on that one.
    May 22 05:58 PM
  • Jasdevi087 **** yeah Plague Mass
    May 22 05:36 PM
  • Frippertronics Album's still growing on me, but Brilliant Trees and Secrets of the Beehive are hard 5s. Discog series imminent
    May 22 04:58 PM
  • EvoHavok Yay, more love for Dead Bees on a Cake :D.
    May 22 03:45 AM
  • Jasdevi087 I don't ever wanna beeeeee alooooooooooneee.........
    May 22 01:57 AM
  • Frippertronics I surrender.
    May 22 12:46 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Broken Latern is probably the most connected sounding thing you've ever done. Such a big improvement over a lot of your other improv stuff
    May 20 05:39 AM
  • Lowder91bird Thanks for the link. I'm sorry it took me so long to see it. I have been busy this past month and haven't been on sputnik. I will give the album a listen at some point this week or next week.
    May 3 03:15 AM
  • Animadversion im listening right now to The Moon Has Fallen. im really loving it! id be interested to know: aside from other works of musicians, what are the things that inspire you the most to create an album?
    April 15 07:56 AM
  • Judio! Cool. I'll give it a spin tomorrow when I have to write my Philosophy research essay.
    April 11 10:42 PM
  • SmileNerd Relistened and rerated :)
    April 10 11:46 PM
  • SmileNerd No problem man and sorry for the negative feedback. I'll make sure to keep checking out any other new releases from you :D
    April 10 07:28 PM
  • SmileNerd I saw it in my email and meant to check it out today but I was busy. Tomorrow I'm free though so I will listen
    April 10 04:16 AM
  • ScuroFantasma Oh cool, will jam asap
    April 9 07:55 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I actually don't really like Deftones that much, I only really enjoy some of their songs, so it's actually better to me than I thought, but still nothing amazing
    April 9 04:45 PM
  • YetAnotherBrick sweet man i'll jump on that tomorrow prolly
    April 9 11:21 AM
  • ScuroFantasma That sounds great man, I'd be glad to give it a listen :) bring on the grooves.
    April 6 12:21 PM
  • ScuroFantasma Hey man, I gave your King Green album a go. I did like it it more than the Millicent album, but it was still too experiemtnal and 'out there' for my taste. Guess it's just not for me haha, but I'm glad I've given this style a chance :)
    April 6 03:33 AM
  • YetAnotherBrick Cool man, that should add another interesting layer to things haha
    March 31 09:48 AM
  • YetAnotherBrick that's a noble endeavor, man. it makes a lot of sense then that the music sounds the way it does. the brain doesn't build dreams in an orderly fashion
    March 29 11:25 PM
  • YetAnotherBrick fo sho. nice Red Chord 4.5 btw, that's the same rating i gave it. album slays. they need to make some more music. anywho i'm curious, what exactly inspired such an esoteric project as King Green?
    March 29 01:38 PM
  • SmileNerd Awesome! I'm probably going to binge listen to your Millicent Waffles albums today while I play video games.
    March 28 11:29 AM
  • SmileNerd Awesome; thanks! I also have 2 albums in the works which are vastly different than my currently released work. One is a minimally-produced album of field recordings I did over two days, and the other is a piano compilation thing.
    March 28 02:11 AM
  • SmileNerd Hey, man. Remember when you rated my first Trevor's Older Brother album? I have been keeping your criticisms in mind when working on new material, and I've released a lot more on my Bandcamp. Would you mind, whenever you're not busy, listening to some of my new stuff? https://trevorsolderbrother.bandcamp.com/music
    March 28 12:16 AM
  • YetAnotherBrick FRACTIS my bad haha
    March 27 05:13 PM
  • YetAnotherBrick Thank you for making it! It's a ****ing trip, man. My fave is probably Fractic Muris. The level of interaction between the sounds and the voices is really impressive. I'll probably head down that rabbit-hole again the next time i trip haha
    March 27 05:13 PM
  • Jasdevi087 ah cool, that's kinda what I figured you meant
    March 25 11:56 PM
  • Jasdevi087 oh cool you're using proper recording for your new MW? I think this KG is probably my third favourite behind Ooba and Jaded Claws. The incorporation of melodies into the mess actually helped more than you probably thought it would, and the improv itself isn't as jarring as your last one.
    March 25 11:13 PM
  • Judio! Ooba Yung Mot I believe
    March 24 03:24 PM
  • Judio! Appreciate the compliments, dude! Sorry it took so long, but I finally got around to jamming your new album. It was pretty badass! I actually listened to it (and another one of your albums) last night while studying for an exam. I did really well on the exam, so that must be a good sign haha. Probably my 2nd favorite album by you so far.
    March 22 10:58 PM
  • Lowder91bird I have listened to your newest King Green album several times within the past week. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have been busy. I enjoyed the album. My favorite tracks were "Luna in Obscuritas" and "Fractis Muris". All of your albums are very interesting and unique. I look forward to hearing the next one!
    March 20 01:17 PM
  • Jethro42 oops, it seems you can only listen to one song on bandcamp. Album is available on you tube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN_ChunBe8Y
    March 15 07:09 PM
  • Jethro42 Well, good try, friend. Not exactly my thing. it's a handful of random noises to me. I want to introduce you to Miriodor. I've never heard that particular album, but it has pretty good ratings on prog archives. I listen to it right now; https://cuneiformrecords.bandcamp.com/album/avanti
    March 15 06:49 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Hey dude there's this weird glitch on the New Age of Earth page where your rating appears twice lol
    March 8 01:52 AM
  • bnelso55 Oh, cool! Yeah! In my opinion, I'd say you're definitely succeeding.
    March 7 04:07 PM
  • bnelso55 Absolutely! I enjoy following your work, the King Green project especially. I think it?s KG?s conceptual side that appeals most to me. I like reading the record?s accompanying story (about Hildevot, Anorphis, or the city in Jaded Claws?) and then just sitting back and taking it all in. The story and the music come together and I can pictures it all in my head. It challenges me, but it?s always a good time.
    March 7 02:16 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I swear I'm actually gonna check it this time :p
    March 7 02:55 AM
  • Lowder91bird Thanks for the link. I will listen to your new at some point this week.

    February 26 02:19 PM
  • Jasdevi087 How much does Tartar Lamb inspire your work btw? I listened to Sixty Metonymies the other day and I made a sort of connection in my head between it and some of your stuff
    February 26 04:35 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Yeah I'll check it out at some point

    February 24 10:40 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Fantastic movie and piece, yes :)
    February 16 02:32 AM
  • Jasdevi087 coffins rules bro! David Sylvian's solo work is fantastic (well, up until Blemish onwards, which i'm not really a fan of). The textures of the songs on Secrets of the Beehive are amazing. I'm assuming you caught the version with Forbidden Colours on the end?
    February 15 07:25 PM
  • OldManGramps I'll keep you posted for sure! Going to be working on my next LP very soon as it's bigger in scope production/instrumentation wise.
    February 14 06:38 PM
  • OldManGramps Thank you so much!! That means so much to me coming from yourself! I definitely did feel more natural going through the workings of this one. I'm honored you enjoyed it!
    February 13 01:58 PM
  • OldManGramps Good to hear! Thanks! I appreciate it. : )
    February 12 05:57 PM
  • OldManGramps Hey man! How are you? I wanted to inform you that I released an acoustic EP today if you'd like to check it out: https://lonneys.bandcamp.com/album/vetI enjoyed your new album, by the way :) Planning on giving it some more plays
    February 12 01:59 PM
  • EvoHavok For sure. I felt bad I found it so late haha, but I gotta thank The Mortal for making me more curious about the guitarist Jake that led me to his former band.
    January 19 02:01 PM
  • EvoHavok Nice Other Goose rating.
    January 18 01:43 PM

    January 15 10:15 AM
  • Lowder91bird By the way, it's cool to see that you gave a five to Misterios e Maravilhas by Tantra. I am a big fan of that album. I think it is one of the most underrated Prog albums of the 70's
    January 12 07:52 PM
  • Lowder91bird I have given your new album a few listens. There were some good moments but I think it is easily your weakest album. The first two tracks were fine. The rest of the album didn't do much for me. "Under a Dark Blue Blanket" is probably still my favorite album of yours. I was a big fan of the Atmosphere that you created on it. The new album doesn't really create an atmosphere or does anything to get me into it.
    January 12 07:49 PM
  • Asdfp277 it's a good album, i quite like both!
    January 8 09:22 PM
  • CaptainDooRight i listened to the whole thing bro. pretty cool, i caught myself dancing a few times lol
    January 6 01:51 PM
  • danielmoreno Do a review on Arrigo Barnabé's work. You write pretty well, dude.
    January 5 08:15 PM
  • Lowder91bird Thanks for the link. I give it a listen at some point this week.
    January 5 05:24 AM
  • OldManGramps Awesome, thanks! Definitely going to check this out in the morning!
    January 5 02:35 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Not sure the middle-era Bowie quite gets me like his pre-Diamond Dogs stuff, but yeah it's certainly interesting
    January 4 04:06 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges will check bruv
    December 18 08:46 PM
  • EvoHavok Fair enough. They're both very close for me. He definitely had to bring them back, he's so good at the goth stuff.
    December 15 08:36 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, Evo put in too much effort in this to be ignored so I'll plug and hopefully it'll get you to check more hehe: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=696101
    December 15 08:21 AM
  • EvoHavok It's pretty incredible :). To be fair, I thought you'd rate it higher considering how much you like 13kai.
    December 14 09:18 AM
  • RunOfTheMill Hey, I'm curious: judging by your ratings and pie chart, you don't seem like the kind of guy that would try Scorpions. What brought you to listen to Lonesome Crow?
    December 10 01:37 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Enjoyed the Camberwell Now album and yeah it's very strange in a The The sort of way. I'd recommend Burning Blue Soul by The The as it's even similar sounding to 'The Ghost Trade'
    November 30 11:14 AM
  • EvoHavok Exactly. "Love Like Blood" is one hell of a tune.
    November 30 10:56 AM
  • EvoHavok Nice Night Time rating :).
    November 30 03:03 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity A little prod ;) http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/69218/The-Mortal-I-Am-Mortal/

  • Friday13th great, it's on spotify
    November 19 09:26 AM
  • Friday13th hey bro, got a post-punk rec for ya: Daniel Amos - Darn Floor, Big Bite. Really diverse band. I've been trying to get sputnik into Daniel Amos but to no avail. Feeling pretty 'leet being their only fan but still ;)
    November 19 12:12 AM
  • CaptainDooRight right on brah thanks for keeping me posted
    November 16 12:11 PM

    November 10 05:21 PM
  • Lowder91bird I have given your newest album "Son of Ra" several listens now. I really like it. I think it was much more refined than beaver creek. Cataclysm Along the Nile is a really cool track. So is my lips are Anubis. Overall it was a great album. I right now it's a strong 3.5 for me. I will listen to it again then I will give it a final rating.
    October 29 12:30 AM
  • deathschool Oh no problem, man. I don't think I realized it was you actually. You guys sound like technically skilled musicians, but it's just really not my thing.
    October 19 02:13 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity nvm I saw you already had a good look. Nice to see another fan on here
    October 18 12:25 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Very nice. Just wondering you going to have more of a gander under the Visual Kei tree?
    October 18 12:20 PM
  • SmileNerd Thanks for listening! Yeah, when I was done with the album I thought that same kind of thing about it not really flowing well together. But eh whatevs. I had fun making it. You can rate it anyways, I don't care much about the average. :)
    October 18 11:09 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Indeed, Kurutta and 13kai are both classics. Here's the concept of 13Kai explained if you wanna have a read: http://blog-tick.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/ten-times-thirteen.html

    August 22 12:46 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Sick. Out of curiosity, are you ever going to change your last.fm stats? They look pretty unrepresentative. Or do you keep them as a reminder?
    August 18 12:36 AM
  • Jasdevi087 did you ever get around to jamming Supercell? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNyHmWzAzNE
    August 13 04:27 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Just had a jam now. Not really feelin it, but it had it's moments, retrograde transmission was probably my favourite. I did jam the whole thing btw, my last.fm net scrobbler hates bandcamp for some reason.
    August 12 02:14 AM
  • JustinKing I really do dig the new album, man!
    July 20 10:10 PM

  • puntugruhm yeah man, no problem. i liked it but not as much as that king green album. good work dude.
    May 20 04:36 PM
  • CaptainDooRight nice album bro, i was album to check some of it, had a hard time wrapping my head around but I appreciate the art. sometimes i feel like im not 'ready' to listen to your music sometimes because its so different than anything I'm used, with that being said keep doing what you're doing and exploring your expressions.
    May 18 12:12 PM
  • OldManGramps Great album dude! I dig it! Very unique. I'll definitely check out your other releases, too.
    May 16 06:35 PM

  • Lowder91bird No problem man. I really liked the last Millicent waffles release and I was going to listen to it again and I saw you had a brand new album on Bandcamp so I had to check it out. I'm glad I did because it was a pretty incredible album. Keep up the good work!

  • OldManGramps Hey there! I've wanted to thank you for positive ratings toward my work! I've released my new album. Check it out if you wish. https://lonneys.bandcamp.com/album/eternal-paralysis-in-verity
    April 24 05:59 PM
  • puntugruhm it was my pleasure... it is a fantastic album, you deserve all the credit. you're innovating music with this kind of stuff.
    April 13 08:07 PM
  • Lowder91bird I finally got around to listening to Jaded Claws and Glistening Outmodes. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I loved the atmosphere and all of the different sounds you used. The Death of a Lamp post part 1 and 2, Technical Interference, and the Sleepy Mausoleum are probably my favorite tracks from the album. All of your work is very creative and unique. Keep up the good work!
    April 3 03:43 PM
  • CaptainDooRight I sure can! Keep doing what you're doing. Don't let anyone stop you from expressing yourself. Your realness is really inspiring to me and no doubt many others. 'Art' in general, needs more people like you.
    April 3 11:09 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Very intense and dense. I really liked Carried Away Unwillingly and Technical Interface but CAU is my fav. Some really good feels on that one and I feel I connected the best with it. What makes your music special is that it can't really be critisized either because its art and its not following any past molds. For that I praise you. And I enjoyed a lot of what I heard I know that there's more stuff to be revealed with future listens.
    April 1 02:09 PM
  • Jasdevi087 The pleasure's all mine dude! In all honesty, I think the King Green projects are probably my least favourite of your works, but there's a strange air to the way the random collages work. They kind of represent the various activity that happens in a crowded street almost, vendors trying to sell stuff, radios and just people going about there daily stuff. I don't know if that's intentional on your part, but it certainly comes through.
    March 31 06:51 PM
  • CaptainDooRight youre different and there's something about you that draws me to you, perhaps you expressive candor, so yes i know that your expressions, which is music, is not elementary, rather, fathomage
    March 31 12:42 PM
  • CaptainDooRight my work email is hit n miss with bandcamp. im gonna use a diff device tomm wednesday to listen since ill be working from home and will have more time and focus. i don't wanna just casual listen ya know
    March 31 11:56 AM
  • PotsyTater word, bookmarked thanks
    March 27 05:29 PM
  • JustinKing Definitely digging the new album, man. I really like this, man.
    March 27 12:16 AM
  • bnelso55 You're welcome and thanks. I'm glad to hear the review turned out OK. Best of luck promoting the album.
    March 26 10:12 AM
  • bnelso55 I tried to turn it around as quickly as I could. Your list was about to drop off the front page and I figured it would be good to post while it was still fresh in everyone's minds. Hopefully it doesn't feel rushed.
    March 25 11:49 PM
  • bnelso55 The review is up, man! Hopefully it looks OK and directs some positive attention to your work.
    March 25 10:36 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Swee will check asap [2]
    March 25 06:27 PM
  • Judio! Cool man, will jam soon
    March 25 04:21 PM
  • bnelso55 Sure thing! I'll try to have it put together as soon as possible. Hopefully I'm able to capture what you were going for with this record. Go easy on me though. I am not a seasoned reviewer just yet. Congratulations again on completing the album. I like it a lot.

  • bnelso55 Thought I'd put together a short review for Jaded Claws and Glistening Outmodes. I'm referencing the info on your band page. Anything else about the record you would want me to know before I put pen to paper?

  • Jasdevi087 I'd been wanting to watch it for ages and I've been itching for a romance flick that isn't flamboyant in insipid since I watched Ah My Goddess about a month back, always dug the song "Rain" as well. It was a last minute buy too, I realised I had heaps of left over cash and just ran back and got it. Definitely scratched that itch too.
    March 4 10:40 PM
  • Jasdevi087 God yes, brilliant ending. Who knew you could do so much with character development in 50 minutes? The background animation was astonishing too holy s*** dude. Plus the way the ending builds into the song "rain" captures so many feels all at once.
    March 4 06:02 PM
  • CaptainDooRight I'll wait for the full album so I can listen to it properly, keep me posted brewf

    February 12 07:35 PM
  • LordePots also i gave it some thought and just from experience im not sure my sample based approach will translate to a collab very well (ive tried it before and it just doesnt go over as well as it does when i have my equipment and instruments) but if u ever want some remixes or anything thats a whole nother story
    February 11 12:17 AM
  • LordePots can you relink me all ur new stuff
    February 11 12:16 AM

    February 8 11:40 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I would 5 it, but I already have the WORLD Ruler and Kyokutou Symphony 5'd and I have an unspoken rule to myself that I shouldn't 5 more than 2 albums per band, studio album or not.
    February 5 09:27 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Ooooh I was wondering why Livid had a 4.4 average now.

  • LordePots sorry for late reply. i was giving it some thought on how i could make that work. unfortunately my interface broke before the summer so i haven't been able to record live instruments or vocals for quite some time and have pretty much only doing my sample based stuff lately and i dunno how that would work with your tunes. thoughts?

  • Lowder91bird Thanks for the link to your album. I'm sorry that it took me so long to listen to it. Today was the first time I have been on Sputnik since December so I didn't get your message until just a little while ago. I enjoyed the new album quite a bit. I would still say Under a Dark Blue Blanket is my favorite album of yours but this comes really close. I particularly liked the tracks "Break Free" and "Latch". I look forward to hearing your next release whenever it is. Keep up the Good work!

  • cryptside It's definitely more ethereal than the last one. Not as direct, which is both a good and a bad thing. I really like it man. Nice work!
    January 10 08:20 PM
  • cryptside Hey dude, been listening to Hauntpop Vol 2 quite a bit lately. I am thinking of writing a review for it, is that cool with you? It will probably be a 3.5 review, and I try to be objective in my reviews. I just wanted to make sure that you were cool with that?
    January 10 01:18 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Well, Swans are one of those bands where any of the albums could be considered their best. But yeah, Soundtracks is awesome definitely listen to it if you liked White Light.
    January 9 12:40 AM
  • Jasdevi087 It has just come to my attention that you have not jammed Soundtracks for the Blind. I swear you'd love that.

    December 25 06:50 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I need to sit through the whole thing again. I've been jamming individual songs off of it, but yeah really need to just sit down and jam the entire thing again for old times sake. The version of Moon on that album is amazing.
    December 15 11:36 PM
  • Jasdevi087 A 5? s***, I might need to re-listen, Dejavu and Image have been stuck in my head for a while.
    December 15 08:05 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Mother is a hard 5. The title track is god-tier. Enjoy mane!
    December 13 12:08 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Oh damn I thought you'd listened to Mother? Exams bring hold everything back agreed. Image is wicked, you'll love it.
    December 12 10:08 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I'm surprised that you never checked out Luna Sea's Image considering how much you enjoyed their first album and Eden.
    December 12 08:06 PM
  • CaptainDooRight i didn't know bro. I don't have access to SC at work so I'll be able to check it at home when I get some time. Things have been kinda busy lately.
    December 9 12:03 PM
  • Graveyard Yea, I was surprised how well both of our tracks flowed together. Usually, when people do splits they sound kinda jagged in some places. Even though Chris and I have completely different styles of music, something just really "clicked" when we made this.
