  • crossparallel Likewise. Let's get this album some recognition! I couldn't resist, freaking instant classic.
    November 26 08:49 PM
  • RadicalEd Too bad buddy. Another time ;). Currently there isn't much going on, so you're not missing out.
    November 17 02:49 PM
  • RadicalEd dubtrack?
    November 17 02:28 PM
  • manosg Hey Evo! Yeah, Into the Void is pretty cool. My three favorites are probably The Warning, Hole in the Sky and Electric Funeral. Overall, it's a good compilation but a few tracks are a bit muddy for my liking.
    November 16 01:18 PM
  • Thealwaysopenedmind Thanks for the insight. That's a good reason. It's a shame this happened.
    November 13 08:59 PM
  • manosg Listening to Arcane Rain Fell atm and I like it a long. Which is kinda weird for me considering that it's post mid '90s doom/death/gothic/whatever. Also, checked today Weeping Silence - Opus IV Oblivion and I was impressed. If you're up for some modern doom/gothic, it's pretty good.
    November 10 01:58 PM
  • Flugmorph Yeah I remembered something like that but didnt exactly knew what band we talked about hehehe
    November 10 11:31 AM
  • Flugmorph U wanna make a evo brand killing joke list? Would be amazing :)
    November 10 11:06 AM
  • manosg Instrumentally, it's very very solid. However, it's not easy for me to digest the Japanese vocals. Probably has to do with the fact that I haven't listened to any Japanese bands or watched movies. The thing is that, musically, they sound odd to my ears.
    November 10 04:17 AM
  • Flugmorph has the righteous beats hehe
    November 9 04:24 PM
  • Flugmorph check their discog asap its really varied and every album has its own distinctive feel and mood
    November 9 04:23 PM
  • Flugmorph selfless from godflesh is such a damn good album i would've never known
    November 9 04:17 PM
  • manosg Definitely dude.
    November 9 03:22 PM
  • Flugmorph Not really i listened here and there and pandemonium was my fav from these
    November 9 07:07 AM
  • Flugmorph nice dig bro killing joke i mean
    November 9 03:02 AM
  • Jasdevi087 goodness, that's an interesting rating for Cell.
    November 7 04:13 PM
  • manosg There's so much quality in the mid '90s. If you're up for some experimental black metal, there's a band called Fleurety. Their album, Min Tid Skal Komme is pretty interesting. The guitar reminds me of Mandylion at various points but the songs develop to black metal.
    November 7 03:13 PM
  • manosg Nice. I have the original CD release of Nighttime Birds and Mandylion on a copied cassette! Never decided buying Mandylion on CD when I was younger because I was so in love with how it sounded that I didn't want to change anything haha. And now, unfortunately, I don't buy CDs anymore because the closest store is more or less 20 km from where I live and I listen music mostly on my laptop. Where do you listen to music?
    November 6 03:17 PM
  • manosg haha on a good day Nighttime Birds is definitely a 5! Its only flaw is that it's not Mandylion. But both albums have that magic in them; the one that makes me bond with an album emotionally.
    November 6 02:27 PM
  • manosg One of my all time favorites. Bought the album on the same day as Nighttime Birds when I was younger and to this day I can't decide which one I like best haha.
    November 6 12:35 PM
  • manosg Yes! Glad you enjoyed bro. The album is as majestic just as its cover suggests.
    November 6 08:09 AM
  • manosg Oh definitely. A lot of metalheads who reject them haven't even checked them.
    October 31 04:36 PM
  • manosg They've positioned themselves in a way metalheads cannot accept. But they are what they are and they certainly have their moments.
    October 31 04:21 PM
  • manosg Nice, gonna give it a shot when I'm in a mood for some doom. Nice rating on Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights. My favorite HIM and probably the only one I enjoy anymore from these guys.
    October 31 03:28 PM
  • manosg I was oblivious regarding its existence tbh! Is it any good?
    October 31 08:26 AM
  • Willie I like it. My favorite was Brighter Than 1000 Suns, and they'll never go back to that, but this one seems like it has a little more of that era in there mixed with the newer heavier sound. Probably one of my top five KJ albums.
    October 26 05:47 PM
  • manosg First time I heard it, my thought was that if the end of the world has a soundtrack, that's it. I know guys who love it and others who can't stand it haha.
    October 26 04:31 PM
  • manosg That I can agree with. It can make a song feel more futuristic/cold or robotic as you've said. By the way, have you checked Dodheimsgard's 666 International? Pretty awesome black metal/industrial hybrid.
    October 26 04:21 PM
  • manosg Yeah, not bad at all. Pretty Sabbathian but I don't understand why so many band add effects and s*** to their vocals. Maybe they're trying to use them more like an instrument but for fuvk's sake, if you have a good vocalist just let him/her sing. For example, Windhand's singer has a pretty good voice as shown on her solo record but with her band her voice is buried upon layers and layers of s***.
    October 26 03:47 PM
  • manosg Yeah those touches can make a big difference sometimes. I'm down with epic doom as well such as Sorcerer, Veni Domine, Solitude Aeturnus, etc. Only doom I can't digest is funeral doom and that s*** with one riff played to eternity and the distorted vocals. Sludge you call it?
    October 26 03:24 PM
  • manosg Definitely. Dude sings like he has the whole world on his shoulders. In a way, this album reminded me of My Dying Bride even though I easily prefer the poetic nature of Aaron's lyrics.
    October 26 02:52 PM
  • OmairSh I'm not complaining :-P
    October 20 11:19 PM
  • manosg hmm, The Karelian Isthmus and Tuonela are probably my favorite 3.5s. Second tier, I'd put Silent Waters, Skyforger and Under the Red Cloud. Third tier would have to be The Beginning of Times and Eclipse. How about you?
    October 20 08:07 AM
  • manosg Niiice! It has some amazing crescendos and even though the male vox aren't the greatest, he's got soul. I see you've rated Killing Joke and I must admit I haven't heard more than a couple of songs by them. Which album of theirs do you suggest I check?
    October 17 06:37 AM
  • OmairSh Soooooooo this is happening https://www.facebook.com/Evergrey/photos/a.141135285938028.32755.133190223399201/1043385912379623/?type=3
    October 17 01:38 AM
  • CamiloG Yeah. I think The artwork affected the expectations I created towards this record before hearing it. Though it is very enjoyable. It took me a while to get into it.
    October 15 02:52 PM
  • CamiloG Gave it a new spin and it grew a little bit in me. I finally made up my mind.
    October 15 02:30 PM
  • CamiloG Well, I find it kind of mainstream, and the music feels happy, if you know what I mean, cheesy at moments, it has great moments such as Breathe, Extinct, Funeral Bloom, but it doesn't grab me that much. I think my main issue is with the atmosphere.
    October 15 02:15 PM
  • CamiloG Dude, I'm not digging that much the new Moonspell album, I haven't been able to rate it.
    October 15 02:09 PM
  • CamiloG I've heard some nice comments about MDB, I also have to check them out, and yeah paradise lost is gonna take a while. I did the same with Katatonia and it took me almost two weeks hahaha.
    October 14 03:54 PM
  • CamiloG You got me some serious work to do hahaha.
    October 14 03:51 PM
  • CamiloG Infinite thanks again, now I have a nice list to check. From the last one I've only heard The Cure's Disintegration and Lake of Tears. I think I'll begin rating Paradise Lost after I end with Moonspell.
    October 14 03:48 PM
  • CamiloG I'm into everything that's good, no matter the genre. Recently I've been digging some metal, since it was a long time without listening. I was more on a Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin vibe. But I do like all kinds of music to be honest.
    October 14 03:33 PM
  • CamiloG Thanks a lot man. I haven't heard some of the bands you listed, I'll surely check them. Paradise Lost and early Theatre of Tragedy are awesome though. I've also heard some Type O Negative, but never gave them the attention they deserved. Anyway, I appreciate your recommendations.
    October 14 03:26 PM
  • Angelboros I'm evil. By that logic, it had to be done, or else I'd be sleeping with the fishes.
    October 5 01:04 PM
  • OmairSh Glad you enjoyed them man. Just felt like sharing some local stuff as a change of pace.
    October 1 10:53 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Well I do still need to check out Turn Loose the Swans and all that
    October 1 02:16 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Yeah :/ I mean, it's fine, I like it but I didn't really get much out of it.
    October 1 01:35 AM
  • OmairSh Evo I think you'll enjoy the first 2 tracks off this http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=673174
    September 30 11:37 PM
  • manosg Indeed. Their vocalist had serious drinking issues so that might have been a reason. But the dude could really sing. Seeing as you're into progressive metal, you'll enjoy both bands.
    September 29 01:32 PM
  • manosg Nice! It's got that american power metal sound and few progressive elements so you'll probably dig it. It's kinda similar to Crimson Glory, if you've checked them.
    September 29 01:22 PM
  • manosg haha yeah! My plan is to initially go through some older albums of theirs that I haven't listened for a long time. So now I first need to check The Beginning of Times and then jam Under the Red Cloud. But after our morning discussion today, I've been jamming some older Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray. So I'm in a power metal mood today haha!
    September 29 01:08 PM
  • IhateMana Moi Dix Mois is a conspiracy. Dix has three letters. Dix looks like dicks, Mana likes dicks.
    September 28 07:14 AM
  • Jasdevi087 Yeah, yeah. RIP
    September 28 02:59 AM
  • manosg Maybe yeah. Didn't feel as grand and epic as some of their older releases.
    September 27 04:24 PM
  • manosg Yeah but one of my browser's extensions kept blocking it. I downloaded it from Kickass Torrents though. Can't put my finger on it just yet but there's something about the album that bothers me. On my final listen, I was between a 3 and a 3.5!
    September 27 04:17 PM
  • manosg Damn, if I want to raise my objectivity I'll give it a spin.
    September 27 04:07 PM
  • manosg lol how bad is this ep? hahaha
    September 27 03:49 PM
  • manosg haha just found it on Deezer's new releases section and thought I'll give it a try even though I knew nothing of the band. Pretty disjointed and boring.
    September 27 02:34 AM
  • manosg I have no idea tbh haha. I think Deezer works similarly to Spotify, judging by the fact that their contents are almost identical.
    September 26 11:37 AM
  • manosg Has to be the initial leak plus the one that's streaming on Deezer.
    September 26 11:15 AM
  • manosg I've listened to it 3-4 times but I'm still torn between a 3.5 and a 4. I don't like it as much as A Map of All Our Failures or The Dreadful Hours and I have both of these at 4. Maybe a 3.5 is where it's at for me but I'll decide on my next listen.
    September 26 11:00 AM
  • manosg Brings the early Bride vibes hard. Sweet rating for Night of the Stormrider too!
    September 26 10:45 AM
  • manosg Yup. Unless one managed to live in a quiet village far from all the intrigues haha.
    September 23 03:07 PM
  • manosg For sure, even though I've kinda lost touch with modern films. Watched the first two seasons of GoT but stopped there. Can't say that it's poor or anything but I lost the will to further watch it I guess haha.
    September 23 02:31 PM
  • manosg Oh definitely. For me, the switch was a few years ago when I got bored of mainstream modern films with all the special fx, unnecessary violence and nudity. So I tried a couple of '40s movies and got hooked since them. The actors' playing is so much better on older films.
    September 23 02:23 PM
  • manosg Yeah I used not to like older movies as well. To be honest, I completely rejected black and white films solely for not being in color. But nowadays some of my favorite movies are from the '40s haha.
    September 23 02:16 PM
  • manosg Very good lyrics indeed. The movie, The Masque of the Red Death, is pretty good too. Stars Vincent Price and definitely has that gothic feeling.
    September 23 02:05 PM
  • manosg Actually, no haha. Which is pretty weird because I've been listening to the album since it was released. The reason is probably because every time I listen to the album my mind travels in imaginary places and scenes that come from the movie which the dialogues were taken on And When He Falleth.
    September 23 01:53 PM
  • manosg So you must be quite the fluent speaker! I almost followed the same path with English. Started in kindergarten and my college education was in English so that helped a lot. If I remember correctly you're British, right?
    September 23 01:41 PM
  • manosg That's cool. Tried to learn German a couple of times but didn't have the necessary perseverance.
    September 23 01:23 PM
  • manosg Elodia is a pretty emotional journey. If I remember correctly, it's about a story of a couple where the man eventually kills the woman, hence the clown who carries the female in the cover. Even though almost 100% of the album is sang in German, you can feel the anguish by the way the couple sings. Great stuff.
    September 23 01:15 PM
  • manosg Hey Evo, can't remember if I've rec'd you Lacrimosa before. Their music is a mix between gothic and classical. I'm not sure if you'll dig them instantly but they're definitely an interesting listen.
    September 23 01:01 PM
  • manosg haha that's what solid releases by Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride can do to you. Now if only Anathema could return to past glory...
    September 21 01:47 AM
  • manosg Sweet, dude. Vervain brings the Theatre of Tragedy vibes hard. I have a feeling that sooner or later Liv will reunite with ToT. Also, great ratings on Type O Negative and Ecstatic Fear. I see you're in a '90s mood.
    September 20 04:27 PM
  • manosg I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by Vervain. I didn't even know that she had released an album last year. I was jamming some Theatre of Tragedy and looking some old interviews of the band and there was an article about the album stating that Vervain had that ToT vibe. Pretty good album Evo.
    September 18 01:53 PM
  • manosg Definitely. That 3.3 looks a bit on the low side. Yeah drumming is pretty good on that album.
    September 13 01:36 PM
  • manosg hehe. I'm not sure if I'll resist the temptation but for the moment I'm jamming For Lies I Sire. If you check Feel the Misery, please share your opinion with me; there's no one on here who knows the band better than you. And if I eventually write something, your input will be very valuable.
    September 13 08:07 AM
  • manosg Oh yeah, thinking about it. But it all depends on the album. Meaning that if I listen to it and it makes me want to write something, I'll go for it. Apparently, there's a leak on youtube. Have you checked it?
    September 13 07:30 AM
  • manosg Good stuff. These guys are masters at creating such an epic and mournful atmosphere at the same time. Like it's crushingly sad but emits a sense of grandeur.
    September 13 04:39 AM
  • Angelboros Hey, thanks, man.
    September 10 02:58 PM
  • ComeToDaddy Oranges got dibs ); if he falls through then I'll try and make sure it gets one by the end of the week because hot damn they've earned it
    September 6 03:51 AM
  • manosg Sweet! I'll check it tomorrow morning, thanks for the heads up.
    September 3 03:30 PM
  • manosg I tried to find a leak this morning but couldn't. Damn, is it that good?
    September 3 03:07 PM
  • OmairSh Just came back from an Evergrey concert, and it ****ING KICKED ASS!! The guitars sounded fantastic live, had a real raw edge to them. Got to meet the guys after as well, really great night.
    August 30 02:30 AM
  • Flugmorph haha sry wasn't active on plug.dj today. just jammed for ppls
    August 29 01:13 PM
  • Angelboros Yeah, to put it bluntly, I found it tough to admire Toxic LOL. Division is quite underwhelming and Beautiful Deformity was really lazy on their part. The first three albums, DIM, and Dogma all get a pass from me, though. Like I said previously, Gazette's far from the most original-sounding outfit, but that's not to say they can't be likeable.
    August 26 05:15 PM
  • Angelboros The Gazette in general are an entertaining band to listen to so long as you don't try to knock their musical formula. Jasdevi and CalculatingInfinity are indifferent to them and a fair number of other neo-VK bands; they've mentioned that those groups care more about their looks than the actual sound, which is fine.
    August 26 05:05 PM
  • Angelboros Trust me, I have a hunch that you'll enjoy it. IMO, that album is the band's creative peak and makes for such a sweet journey. Dogma isn't so bad itself; Incubus and Grudge are easily my favorites off the new one.
    August 26 04:56 PM
  • Angelboros I'm pretty surprised you haven't heard The Gazette's DIM yet, to be honest.
    August 26 04:41 PM
  • manosg Cool track indeed. I also read a very positive review for the new Amorphis (on a Greek website) so I'm quite optimistic for that one as well. If the new My Dying Bride is solid too, we'll have 2/3 of the Peaceville Three plus Amorphis this year putting out great material. If only Anathema returned to their roots...
    August 24 11:54 AM
  • AaronIsCrunchy No problem, they're one of my favourite bands so I'm happy to spread them where I can :]
    August 22 01:15 PM
  • AaronIsCrunchy Palahniuk's Laughter has an official video too, but I suspect it's probably Floods as I'm not 100% sure I HAVE plugged Palahniuk's actually.
    August 22 01:10 PM
  • AaronIsCrunchy Hmmm... Floods, maybe? Or maybe Palahniuk's Laughter? OR Tannhauser Gate. Think those are the ones I've plugged thus far.
    August 22 01:02 PM
  • AaronIsCrunchy It's pretty likely, I jam a reasonable amount of Fightstar to be honest. Was it 'Our Last Common Ancestor'?
    August 22 12:49 PM
  • Jasdevi087 http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/20600000/Ryutaro-arimura-jrock-20669202-484-700.jpg
    August 16 07:41 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I remember Nega to Poji being a lot heavier than their other stuff. They have other songs like that on their follow up albums, but I think Cell and Shiro Chronicle started their heavier sound. Check out the songs "Dance Macabre" and the title track from Cell.
    August 16 05:08 PM
  • Jasdevi087 Probably not, they're a pretty noisy band. I have Cell on cd and the drums and bass are crispier sounding but I'm no audiophile or anything so unless it's in like noticeably bad quality or it's a vinyl, I don't really notice that much anyway.
    August 16 04:58 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I have no idea. I use the streaming site Xiami to listen to it, but god knows what bitrate that streams in.
    August 16 03:51 PM
  • OmairSh Heard the new Symphony X album yet?
    July 27 01:56 AM
  • manosg No problem Evo. Just uploaded the news. Nice track indeed.
    July 17 08:18 AM
  • Flugmorph Hehehehttp://m.imgur.com/gallery/eIfTc
    July 10 05:09 AM
  • manosg damn, my post was cut but you got the point haha!
    July 9 08:45 AM
  • manosg Yeah the vocals are indeed a bit off at some places. Joutsen is a complete vocalist and he sings on some of the band's old songs on Magic
    July 9 08:31 AM
  • manosg Hey Evo, what's up? I see you haven't rated Amorphis - Elegy. Been jamming it the last few days and it's very good, definitely see you digging it. I also see you've rated the new CoF. Is it really that good?
    July 6 05:47 AM
  • OmairSh Oh dam I forgot the video was coming out, thanks for the link. Odd song choice for the setup, "The Fire" would have worked better I think. There are some cool projections (especially the dark ones), but overall it seems like a power metal video. Surprised they've released 3 videos off one album. The money's coming in it seems :-D
    June 20 06:29 PM
  • Flugmorph i piss my pants right now. not exclusively because of that tho LOL
    June 4 03:37 PM
  • Flugmorph ****, no one reviews the plague within. maybe one of us should after all
    June 4 10:21 AM
  • OmairSh Will be interesting to see the kind of music Rikard has on his solo album. Looking forward to that.
    June 2 03:30 AM
  • OmairSh Also check this out, didn't know he had such a good voice. I love it. Hopefully he sings on an Evergrey album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxqRGkR2jlU
    June 2 02:39 AM
  • OmairSh Dude http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/evergrey-keyboardist-rikard-zander-goes-solo/#VfrqW7r0DUimyCwF.03
    June 2 02:33 AM
  • Flugmorph i had it at a 4.5 than at a 5. its between a 4 and 4.5 now but with fanboy bonus.
    June 1 04:53 PM
  • Flugmorph you really think the plague within is a straight 5?
    June 1 04:33 PM
  • manosg Trey will hopefully write something. And yeah, exams come first of course. Wish you the best.
    May 30 04:06 AM
  • manosg The thing is that I try to avoid reviewing albums that have already been covered by someone else and I'm sure the new PL will have 2-3 reviews within the first couple of days haha. Haven't listened to the album yet but I'm pleasantly surprised to see that people enjoy it that much.
    May 30 03:22 AM
  • manosg Hey Evo, what's up? I really think you should write something about the new Paradise Lost, If you're in the mood of course. You know the band as much as anyone on here and you have a nice writing style.
    May 30 01:57 AM
  • Flugmorph maybe it will be even bumped up to classic status. haven't heart it that often to say that i really know it and i'm sure this album could become a 5 for me ;)
    May 18 12:42 PM
  • Kusangii Yeah that's the one. A huge album that is, conceptually, a lot like Crimson with 3 gigantic songs that stretches over 70 minutes. Seeing your ratings, I can only asume you'll love it. Imo, an essential piece of melodic death that every fan of the genre must hear.
    April 22 05:33 PM
  • Kusangii Oh, sweet. Might check them out even though I'm not very big on gothic rock. Just a bit curious, have you heard a band called Persefone? Sorry for the late reply, too. Been kinda busy lately with school and stuff
    April 21 05:41 PM
  • Flugmorph You wanna do a review for the new PL record? Cause i'm thinking bout it
    April 20 01:30 PM
  • manosg Thanks dude!
    April 19 03:50 AM
  • Kusangii Why thank you cutie. Not sure what your profile pic is representing but I like what I see as well. Looks like the dude's having a good time for sure.
    March 28 03:14 PM
  • Kusangii Hi. I think you have really cool taste in music. Isn't that great?
    March 26 09:06 PM
  • rockandmetaljunkie Evo, if you love Epic Doom you need to check these guys out: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Crypt Sermon/64352/
    February 23 11:43 AM
  • manosg Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
    February 20 01:58 PM
  • rockandmetaljunkie Glad you liked them :)
    January 17 08:27 AM
  • rockandmetaljunkie Hey man !!! What is your impression about the last two Cathedral albums you rated ?
    January 16 09:10 PM
  • Angelboros LOL Thanks, man. It's always a grand time for me to write those soundoffs.
    December 5 08:11 AM
  • OmairSh Check it. I wanted more of these scenes in the King of Errors video. Now I know why they weren't there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK0G74RcIBM
    November 26 01:13 PM
  • Flugmorph Sure. Paradise Lost is always worth a jam :)
    November 11 04:33 AM
  • OmairSh Yeah he's got a 6 octave range I think.
    November 5 12:48 PM
  • OmairSh And Nusrat Fateh Ali khan? Nice. Represent :-D
    November 4 09:51 PM
  • OmairSh I had checked a bit of the video of the sermon but didn't find any of it that was used on the song. I might venture further into it later.
    November 4 09:50 PM
  • OmairSh Was listening to When the walls go down again, mind blowing voice sample. The emotion and power in his voice is something that actors would dream to have
    October 29 05:17 AM
  • OmairSh Thanks man, looks like the band had a lot of energy. Must have been great. Man I would LOVE to hear King of Errors live, even though it most probably wouldn't be as good as on the album, but still
    October 27 10:29 PM
  • OmairSh PL's was an official video, this one was fan made :)
    October 12 03:56 PM
  • OmairSh I don't like gory stuff but the video's added intensity to the song imo. Yeah song's terrific, Zander's performance is so good on it. And I love the voice samples, true agony.
    October 12 03:44 PM
  • OmairSh Intense video and voice samples https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6onr2PHfQc
    October 12 03:36 PM
  • Artuma m/m/
    August 15 08:46 AM
  • Artuma damn i feel you man
    August 15 08:40 AM

    June 20 09:31 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I just got on it, it's not glitchy at all today. Up for it now?
    June 20 09:28 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity You should check Ire and Irony next :D
    June 20 09:13 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Not really, that track is ****ing mindblowing. My 3rd fav Dillinger track. I made a list of my fav Dillinger songs a while back actually.
    June 20 09:01 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity It took me ages to like Dillinger, so the same can happen for Coverage. For me Dillinger have took the genre to it's most spazzy, aggressive and unrelenting core. Everything else in the genre seems to slog behind it in comparison, it's the same thing for me when I hear Thrash which isn't Demolition Hammer.
    June 20 08:49 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I can see why people like them but not for me. I find Dillinger so much more better when it comes to Metal/Mathcore
    June 20 08:35 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity If you ever listened to a band which you know are great but don't do much for you? Because that's Dark Tranquility for me :/. This is definately better then The Gallery for me though.
    June 20 08:26 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Jamming now :D
    June 20 08:12 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I'll check out Damage Done after jamming Heartwork :]
    June 20 07:54 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity The 'Melodic' part of it is what mainly turns me off Melodeath really, I feel that so many Melo-Death bands lack a heavy back bone and flow with their riffs. Focusing on their leads too much, and just going with 'standard drum beat will fill here with lead influenced fluff back to vocals with zero groove'. This is why my fav Melodeath has come from Carcass and Intestine Baalism (which I really like, but not crazy about), the Melody is second to the hard back bone of awesome riffs and flow.
    June 20 07:43 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity They did come to the UK for the first one only time ever and I missed it due to exams, I was beyond pissed. Also I'm not the biggest Melo Death guy at all so they've never tickled my fancy fully. I heard The Gallery and it bored me they I heard the song Cathode Ray Sunshine and thought it was awesome, I'd probably have to search through their discography and see what I like.
    June 20 07:27 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Very nice, X Japan is probably the only band I love enough to go see on my own.
    June 20 07:19 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I've got no one to go with, so no unfortunately :[. I did see Opeth however, best night ever.
    June 20 07:03 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I think everyone would like more CD's then what they've got, it'll happen eventually :]
    June 20 07:00 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Note that I'm a student and don't have a job yet, so imagine the amount I'd have with one and Japanese import costs don't help either. Which CD's you got?
    June 20 06:35 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity :o. I have around 80 CD's now, can't stop buying them whenever I have money. I have RHA Earphones, amazing for the amount of money they cost.
    June 20 05:52 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Don't have any money to buy headphones, spend my last money on CD's xD.
    June 20 05:25 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Not really, I'm bored s***less :/
    June 19 04:37 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Pretty good actually, no rain for once. Also I've finished my last exam today, out of 12 exams 11 went great (one of them was awful, which was yesterday) :D
    June 19 12:47 PM

    June 17 04:14 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Other things, alot of things really. I'll live with it though.
    June 17 04:03 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Still going, 10 down, 2 to go. All went really well so far, but I'm so exhaused mentally and emotionally I think I'll crack in the last exam :/. Hope it all goes will for you :]
    June 17 03:35 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, did your exams go well?
    June 17 02:43 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hope you do well in your exams man :]
    May 18 09:23 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Honestly this exam on Monday will make me want to kill myself ;-;. I'm confindent in every one but this one.
    May 18 09:21 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I have 12 exams, already had 4. They end at the 17th of June.
    May 18 09:11 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I did get in one listen, great stuff. Unfortunately exams have taken up most of my time.
    May 18 09:08 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I'm done with Plug, too glitchy. Thanks for jamming man and that last song you played before I left with that local band was awesome.
    May 4 10:21 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity What's happening? ;-;
    May 4 09:51 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Wait a minute, Plug being s***.
    May 4 08:29 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity And there's a chat box for the room so you chat to others in the room.
    May 4 08:03 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Basically it's a music website which I use called Plug.dj. You join a room and you cue up to play songs off a playlist that you make to other people in the room. If you like it, W00T. If not you meh. Here's a link if you're intrested: http://plug.dj/hard-jammers/
    May 4 08:01 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Also wanna Plug? I'm bored.
    May 4 07:56 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I used love Epica 5 years ago, but as I found in my opinion far better Power Metal and other music I left them behind. Their best album is definately their latest. If you want awesome Female-Fronted Metal check out these: After Forever - Decipher, Draconian - Archane Rain Fell, Tristania - Widow's Weeds.
    May 4 07:53 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity More like an improvement from all their albums. 3.6-3.7 for me where the rest of their albums would be a 3.3 for me or below.
    May 4 07:46 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Looks like Epica have finally releaced something to fully invest too :]
    May 3 01:44 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Yep, so far Tommy's just a Roy Khan clone but he is incredible in SW.
    April 23 02:38 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Shame that Roy's quit the music industry, One Cold Winter's Night was the last send off for his awesome vocals. After that he got worse over time.
    April 23 02:32 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Kyo: Good clean vocals (although not of my cup of tea) but his growls are monsterous. Roy Khan: Awesome but overrated. Chino: Haven't listened to him much, so I can't comment. Akerfeldt: GOAT worthy, 'nuff said. Myles: Exceptional, his performance on Fortress is a must hear for any music listener.
    April 23 02:12 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Top 5 ranked: Shiina Ringo, Kamijo, Mikael Akerfeldt, Mike Patton, Gackt. How about you?
    April 23 01:04 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity That wasn't the only problem but it was definately my main problem xD. Lots of people love aquired taste vocalists anyway (including me) so it's understandable.
    April 23 12:56 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I listened to Sirius B and Lemuria.
    April 23 12:50 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity No I don't, at all. The forced and over the top female singer is cringeworthy to me.
    April 23 12:37 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity 4.1 sorry.
    April 23 12:34 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Eternal Glory and The Dark Tower of Abyss as well, such bangers. 4.2 easy.
    April 23 12:32 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I've been listen to it since year 8 and forgot to rate it, by far their best record.
    April 23 12:24 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity The live version makes it pretty much the greatest thing ever.
    April 22 08:51 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity For me he's M. Shadows bad. Deep/mid way vibrato is so hard to get right (IMO only Kamijo and Gackt have mastered it). Either it ends up being emotionally dull and bland with no power (e.g. the singer of Moi Dix Mois) or it feels like you have a cheese grater on your ears (e.g. Zin).
    April 21 04:23 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Good decision, going from the king Kamijo to Zin is so jarring.
    April 21 04:11 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I was glad for Versailles to split up and Jupiter's album is the reason why.
    April 21 04:03 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Jesus that would be the best thing ever. Kamijo's already pulled the split-up's weight obvisiously with Symphony of the Vampire but Jupiter has fallen square on their face.
    April 21 04:02 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Every album has a GOAT worthy track IMO. Lyrical Sympathy has The Red Carpet Day, Noble has History to the Other Side, Jubilee has God Palace, Holy Grail has Faith and Decision and the s/t has the end of Created Beauty/Holy Grail Amoroso combo.
    April 21 03:51 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity For me it's God Palace, track gives me chills.
    April 21 03:42 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Well you have now :]
    April 21 03:37 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Have fun man, very nice to have more Kamijo/Versailles and Gackt fans on Sput.
    April 21 03:30 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Vanilla's such a jam man, holy ****. After that is my fav tracks, Freesia op 1
    April 21 02:34 PM
