 | pmmets07 sup where u been chipmunk? also please verify how horrible this video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOyYwzkQB98
 | GiaNXGX Hey what's up man! I found a obscure punk band that owns a very interesting, dark, and extreme sound that you'll probably like. It reminds me of Converge at times but this is very different. There's a lot of variety going on!
 | Naridax Yeah I'm the best player I've played so far. haven't played junebug yet though.
 | Atari I'm writing a review for box car racer right now.
 | Atari Lol you sarcastic bastard ;)
 | DaveyBoy Again, an AP link that does not work.
 | Atari Sup man I know you're busy with studying for SAT's or whatever but I sure hope you post your ATL review soon. I'm curious what you think about my review but I know you can't read it till you post yours!
 | Naridax god their lyrics are ****ing horrible.
 | andcas review is up. it was a tough one. looking forward to yours if you end up doing it.
 | Naridax I think I really like the song featuring Jason from Acceptance.I had no idea Acceptance was even that popular.
 | Atari So you're really going to review the new ATL?
 | Naridax I think I might like it actually. Although I make that conclusion solely on the song featuring the dude from Bayside.
 | Atari I got it thanks buddy
 | ChuckyTruant lol. just know that misery signals is the best metalcore band ever and you're good to go
 | ChuckyTruant hmm. yeah thats a pretty legitimate statement. They were a pioneer of the genre
 | Atari Do u know where I go in forums to report someone?
 | ChuckyTruant Rorschach precursor to Deadguy. why do you ask?
 | Naridax when their previous album was so bad, the minimal improvements appear like giant leaps in the right direction
 | Atari Lol So Wrong, It's Right is much better than their debut.
 | Calc really? I see you hated it lol I dunno what to say.
 | andcas I have a ton to say about this band since I used to adore them and took it really hard when they sold out so badly so it'll definitely be a personal piece that'll take time.
 | Atari I'll admit the lyrics haven't improved much but the music has.
 | Atari chimpunk you need to give this another listen. The first song is ok but the 2-4th or 5th songs are perfect!
 | andcas I might. need to listen to it a couple more times. gotta wait till next tuesday.
 | Atari Also chipmunk I am planning on reviewing it unless andcas does lol.
 | Atari That's quite the creative little soundoff you've got there ;P
 | Naridax west coast pp/ has good lyrics: http://www.plyrics.com/lyrics/stateside/likewealwaysdid.htmlits probably the emo influence on inde punk. turnover has gud lyrics 2.
 | pmmets07 masked intruder: http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/57019075/file.html
 | Naridax get on aim in like 30 minutes. i should be on by then. definitely by 8.
 | GiaNXGX Have you heard Thou's Tyrant? If not check it out. If you think it's too filthy or crushing then I can recommend something different. Electric Wizard's Dopethrone is pure awesomeness also.
 | GiaNXGX Heavy in what sense? Heavy doesn't always mean loud guitars. It's a vibe. It's a density of energy. Miles Davis was heavy. Johnny Cash was heavy. That's why I need an example - like; a reference point. Alright :]
 | GiaNXGX I don't know dude. Do you like sludge metal?
 | Naridax i might write a review of turnover
 | Naridax wtf? snake's ftilt combo does 21% fresh?
 | Naridax just his reasoning and s***
 | mindleviticus Also if you're interested in some great electronic music, check out my newest review :]
 | mindleviticus Lol "jam rock". I like the term improv electronic/jazz more haha.
 | mindleviticus They sound like a weaker version of Lotus, which is a band you should check out. Some songs were pretty uninteresting and there are a few cliches, but overall it isn't bad :]
 | Naridax I'm the best player I've played so far at Charlottesville. I haven't played Junebug though, but, apparently, Junebug is a first-year at University of Virginia too!
 | Naridax I'M PLAYING WITH JUNEBUG NEXT WEEK!
 | Naridax Albeit with a darker atmosphere than most.
 | Naridax http://www.rocksound.tv/news/article/departures-stream-new-song-from-forthcoming-album-teenage-hazeThis song is a pop punk song minus the vocals.
 | andcas I'm drunk so yeah it's decent. better than anything off their last album.
 | Atari I hear you lol. The list of bands I need to check out is never ending. Fuk this site is addicting.
 | Atari Haha whatevs to each their own. I've never actually heard them just figured they'd be bad. By the way have you still only heard clockwork angels by rush? I read your soundoff so checking out the new album. It's not bad, but doesn't have that "classic" rush sound. Check out Moving Pictures or A Farewell to Kings. I'm not huge on rush, but those albums are amazing.
 | pmmets07 yeah dude definitely let me know if you find anything else cool. i've basically just been listening to the moon is down on repeat. and single mothers, dunno if you've listened to them but they're awesome
 | pmmets07 haha this is cool as s***. if only the vocals were actually in english. the lyrics on track 9 rule
 | Atari damn you've got some balls to make it through the high school musical albums I think I'd shoot myself. lol
 | Brostep I do enjoy me some brostep every so often. Basically what it is is dubstep that has more focus on mid/high range sounds rather than low range, and there's a whole lot of wobbling (not always like Skrillex but often pretty similar). For good brostep check out: Feed Me - Blood Red, Xilent - Choose Me II, LAOS - Hush Now (501 Remix)
 | Naridax New Handguns is pretty bad...
 | Naridax Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! is soooooooo ****ing bad... Literally made me feel sick just now.
 | Naridax You like Boys No Good? IIRC they're easycore.
 | Naridax I listened to them recently and thought, "Hey, these guys aren't as bad as I remember them." I figured the same happened to you when you asked me what was so bad about them. After I read that question, I listened to them again and thought, "I was right the first time..."
 | Naridax Use of lame gimmicks, easycore-ness, voice (typical of both easycore and the countless unmemorable poppy pop punk bands from the trend that preceded easycore), thoroughly unmemorable and unoriginal, rehashed themes and lyrics.I guess the bottom line is: they do nothing new and nothing better than their peers.
 | illmitch for sure man. yeah, i definitely used to be pretty active in hip hop reviews and whatnot. i'm sure we probably enjoy a lot of the same stuff then. i'll probably try and do more here when i have some more free time.
 | Naridax Wait. ugh. I'm confused. just skip that question. lol. Distance has to be equated but the issue is the 6 seconds part. k forget what you're supposed to do. and I can't reason out what's you're supposed to do with the 6 seconds part.
 | Naridax The internet at my dorm is down. but I figured out the problem. it should be (.5)(3)t^2 plus 54 = (.5)(5)t^2. So t= 7.38.
 | Naridax WUT HAPPEN 2 UR PROFILE PIC???
 | Naridax Oh, add me: adrglori@gmail.com
 | Naridax Just skip that part. And click "Let's Go." Or whatever it said.
 | Naridax To know what equation to use, list all the values given and all the values you wish to find. For that problem, you would list: vf = 51 m/s, vi = -43 m/s, tf - ti = .001 s, a-bar = ? m/s/s. By listing all of these values, you know that you need an equation that includes all of them. The three kinematic equations are: vf = vi plus a(tf - ti), vf^2 = vi^2 plus 2a(sf - si), (sf - si) = vi(tf - ti) plus (1/2)(a)(tf - ti)^2. The only one with all the values you need is the first one.
 | Naridax If you want to know what equation you're looking for, list all the values given and all the values you wish to find. For that problem, you would list:vf = 51 m/svi = -43 m/stf - ti = .001 sa-bar = ? m/s/sBy listing all of these values, you know that you need an equation that includes all of them. The three kinematic equations are:vf = vi a(tf - ti)vf^2 = vi^2 2a(sf - si)(sf - si) = vi(tf - ti) (1/2)(a)(tf - ti)^2.The only one with all the values you need is the first one.
 | Naridax Easier way? I don't know of any.By the way, if you really need help, you should go ask for help from Mr. Leonard or from a classmate that knows what they're doing. If all else fails, just IM me. I don't like communicating on Sputnik's shoutbox... It doesn't give any noticeable alerts, so communication is slow.
 | Naridax Whoops! Joules should be kg*m*m/s/s.
 | Naridax By the way, you used the wrong equation. The correct equation is: vf = vi a(tf -ti). Notice that the formula for average acceleration, a = (vf - vi)/(tf - ti), is found simply by rearranging the above kinematic equation. In the kinematic equations, s refers to position, not time, so the value .001 s should be substituted in an equation for time. Other letters used to denote position are r and x. Sometimes, y is used when dealing with vertical motion or motion across the y-axis.
 | Naridax Also, remember to convert values to standard units: 1 ms = .001 s. Most equations use standard units, and most of the values you will determine are to be found in standard units. Maybe there are some exceptions, but I can't recall any. Most of the time, you want all of your answers in meters (m), seconds (s), kilograms (kg), and radians (rad), and their derivatives such as meters per second (m/s), radians per second (rad/s), newtons (N or kg*m/s/s), and joules (J or N*m or kg*m*m/s).
 | Naridax The key word in this problem is "average acceleration," which is simply given by the equation: average acceleration = (the change in velocity)/(the change in time) = (vf - vi)/(tf - ti). Average acceleration is usually denoted by the letter a with a bar over it, read "a-bar." Substituting vf = 51 m/s, vi = -43 m/s, and tf - ti = .001 s in this equation gives: a = 94000 m/s/s. The sign of vi is negative because its direction is opposite that of vf.
 | Naridax Whoa... that didn't go through... *sigh*
 | Naridax simply given by the equation: average acceleration = ?v/?t = (vf - vi)/?t. Substituting the values vf = 51 m/s, vi = -43 m/s, and ?t = .001 s, in this equation gives: 94000 m/s/s. That should be the right answer. The sign of vi is negative because its direction is opposite that of vf, so their signs must be opposite. ?t = .001 because the time elapsed is 1 ms = 1 milisecond = 1/1000th of a second = .001 s.
 | illmitch hey thanks man i appreciate that. i just don't know too many people who post on the review site a lot nowadays, and i've been busy with grad school. i'll see if i can't make some more time here though.
 | SgtPepper I did. I bookmarked the link and I'll start working on the review later this week.
 | SgtPepper Yeah, I'll review it. I have 3 other reviews that I need to get to but I should upload this by the next week or so. Thanks for linking me to him I look forward to listening to it.
 | SgtPepper I just listened to the song and I actually really liked it. It has a very vintage 60's soul/jazz/blues kind of style that I really dig. I'd be happy to review it. Could you link me to his album?
 | GiaNXGX http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/51938/Becoming-the-Archetype-I-Am/#lastpost new review, enjoy my friend :] I would like it to be featured so (if you can) ask for it in the meds thread.
 | Naridax As for "how closely does the coefficient of the x term compare to the accepted value for acceleration due to gravity, 9.8 m/s^s," I would have to see the entire equation to answer that question. It is probably asking exactly what it sounds like it is asking: how close is the coefficient to 9.8 m/s/s?
 | Naridax do u use gmail? if so get google talk so i can just im u if u need help on hw.
 | Naridax Also, while we have learned some physical concepts over our educational careers, much of physics is very alien to most students. In contrast, most classes (just about all science, math, English classes you could have possibly taken so far) build off of previous knowledge. Physics does too, but, in AP Physics, students are introduced to entirely new ways of thinking and approaching problems. That can be very daunting. BUT DON'T LET IT SCARE YOU!!!
 | Naridax how did u lose all ur ratings???
 | Naridax Just read the book and do the homework assignments. Honestly, that's all you need to do. Initially, you might think: "I DON'T GET ANY OF THIS?!" However, all you need to do is read the reading assignments a few times and let the information sink in. The reason so many students at Landstown find AP Physics so difficult (at least in my opinion) is the fact that many of the questions are very conceptual. You have to really think about what you learn and the questions you are given.
 | Naridax I CANZ HEP YOO IF YOO NEED ME CHOO
 | GiaNXGX It already leaked but I'm not going to download it. Do you like Transit?
 | GiaNXGX How hav you been? I'm working on a thrash review and also have around 5 half-written reviews lol. Tomorrow I'm posting a collaborative work between me and a friend from lastfm, it is a really cool review for the new Becoming The Archetype album, watch out. Lol at the new Green Day album cover, auto-1 agreed.
 | ASnideRemark Hey dude I finally got my band's first single released - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRkE6nfRALI
 | Naridax wat is dis gud muzik of wich u speak?
 | GiaNXGX sup man :] http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/51713/Subrosa-No-Help-for-the-Mighty-Ones/
 | Naridax floral green is okay. i have it at 3. but it may go down.
 | Naridax hahaha. well u shud tell him i took 6 shots last nite and finished a bottle w/ some blue stuff in it.
 | Naridax well imo most of them r not that gud anyway.
 | Graveyard Thanks for listening to my EP dude. Glad you enjoyed it.
 | Naridax american football is a big one i forgot. transit worships them. floral green basically has a shoegaze track on it. supposedly sounds like hum. dear you by mob is named after jawbreaker's album of teh same name. mob covered red paint by the promise ring. love your friends, die laughing comes from the screamo band pg. 99. title fight, daylight, and eyes wide all sound much like dear you. real friends namedrop american football in home for fall. mixtapes namedrop here's where the strings come in.
 | Naridax lifetime. jawbreaker esp. mineral. the promise ring, braid, and texas is the reason 2. sunny day real estate altho probly less apparent at 1st. the get up kids i guess, but they have had a big influence on pop punk in general. tho u could say the same about each of the bands above 2.
 | Naridax users seem 2 like floral green a lot here. but tbh its not taht great. too much '90s worship imo. same for the mob tracks i told u about. getting tired of indie punk which i realized is pop punk w/ rly apparent '90s influence esp '90s emo.
 | Naridax check out teh new title fight 2. floral green. the '90s influence is very apparent. idk if ud like that cuz u told me u dont liek jawbreaker.
 | Naridax u shud listen 2 the live versions of real talk, not the first, and atlas on teh deluxe reissue of man overboard's s/t 2 then. all prety gud. the raw quality is def appealing.
 | ASnideRemark Thanks, and we're gonna add vocals to them eventually, my band wants to finish our metalcore song first though. (I recorded all the vox for the metalcore song already). So I'll probably end up showing you that first. But ya, "From Within" should have vox soon.
 | Naridax did u liek teh electric/live version of dear you???
 | ASnideRemark Hey man, my band released our first song demo, check it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8ehOSULh5g
 | Mabbitt heh well thanks. good to see a sputnik user that's not full of themself lol
 | Omaha Honestly i'm not too sure. I'd say it's one of those genres that's hard to judge until you've heard enough. I wouldnt even say ive reached the point of hearing enough post-rock to be able to properly judge. But at the same time it's like well... if i like it i like it, and if i dont i dont. Is it really this simple? these are the things i wonder about.
 | Omaha http://collectivelanguage.bandcamp.com/album/maelstrom check out this album, man. it's so catchy
 | GiaNXGX Hey man, get into the party http://sputnikmusic.com/review/51526/Katatonia-Dead-End-Kings/#lastpost
 | GiaNXGX Oh, that makes sense; I'm glad now you know, you are a cool guy and it's great to have you around :]
 | GiaNXGX Hello dude, how are you, you are no longer checking my revs :[
 | NoMeansYes yeah, I'll give them a go as they don't appear to be conventional punk actually, Just not really into the whole "we're rebellious" "**** the system" forced sound. I may surprise myself. Since that's two rec's they must be at least fairly decent, thanks
 | blastOFFitsPARTYtime True - I know a couple of American guys who came to college here for a year and said it was way cheaper, even with the extra overseas student charges. 30k is such a big investment eh.
 | blastOFFitsPARTYtime Yeah from what I can ascertain you're right on the money there. At least GWB ain't sniffing around anymore.
 | blastOFFitsPARTYtime Yeah in world politics he's a pretty tiny fish I guess. Probably fairly liberal for a conservative too, so I shouldn't really complain haha. Yup I'm a New Zealander.
 | johnnydeking29 (@Hypnogonia soundoff) imo the vocals are total flop (apart from Pure), but if you enjoy them, cool
 | ASnideRemark Nice man, basically the last week has consisted of me dying my hair a black / red mix, recording with my band, visiting my grandparents, and starting a new short story.
 | ASnideRemark So how's life man. I probably won't be as active as I used to, but I'll pop in to post rage inducing news articles every now and then.
 | ASnideRemark And what better idea than to post a Design the Skyline news article to celebrate my return. Luckily it got approved
 | nash1311 Haha I love potsy and Omaha. Both awesome dudes potsy just has a troll exterior. And yes that is funny. Honestly I think TWY's newest album wasn't too bad. I have a predisposed hate for them because I first heard their first s***ty ep. Then saw them live and Soupy was a tool. So yeah I don't like them. I completely understand your hate for blink because you hate tom. If you don't like a vocalist it kills a band and he has a cringey voice. I just enjoy it. I used to hate NFG because Jordan is...
 | Gyromania this is pretty good; i'll look more into 'em. raised my rating of new passion pit to 5.
 | andcas I'll just stick to old all time low.
 | eternium Grouper, Nick Drake, The Microphones, Sed Non Satiata, Portraits of Past, Indian Summer, Slint, sleepmakeswaves, Mineral, and Drive Like Jehu. Just get the highest rated albums.
 | DaveyBoy Something We Cant All Leave Behind is catchy. The rest rely more on atmosphere.
 | DaveyBoy Ok, finally given it a few good listens and I just dont see how you find The Sun and The Sea EP catchy. That does not mean its not good, but its not very catchy at all.
 | ILJ http://newalbumreleases.net/46091/jeff-the-brotherhood-hypnotic-knights-2012/There ya go.
 | OnlyAnchors oh yeah dont get me wrong i love bandcamp. theres def some neat stuff on there and the majority of it is free but sometimes it takes a while to sort through the poopy hs bands to find good stuff lol
 | andcas "I rarely see you give good pop punk albums a 3.5" cause I rate them higher lol.
 | andcas are you trying to imply that people will think real friends sucks because I like it?
 | Omaha sweet, thanks a ton man. I atually heard Ennui a few months ago and loved it haha
 | OnlyAnchors thanks man i copped that free dl. dang those fools noodle almost as hard as grown ups. you must have slogged through a million s***ty bandcamp bands to find them haha
 | Omaha Know of any recent releases you think I'd like?
 | ASnideRemark Dude, that song was so relaxing. I'm gonna get that album. Thanks for the rec. I'll probably jump on here and give you a link to my talk show when it's up on youtube man.
 | ASnideRemark Gonna miss you too man. I just need a break from most internet sites, I need to get my life, my band and my talk show off the ground so I can start making some extra money. You can give me your email if you want. I'm gonna be making a whole new youtube for my show so do you have a youtube?
 | ASnideRemark Hey man, due to life reasons I'm gonna be leaving Sputnik for quite a while, possibly a year. Do you have Facebook?
 | ASnideRemark I have three reviews I have to write, the review for Linkin Park's newest album, the first Jelonek album that you showed me earlier and Crown the Empire's "Limitless"
 | ASnideRemark Ya it is man, and thanks for the rec. I'm really enjoying Jelonek it's awesome. The intro track on that album called Violmachine is so epic. I'm probably gonna write a review for it.
 | Fortheloveofmusic Hey, I saw that your reviewing name is Sleeping at Last. Does that have anything to do with the band or is it just a coincidence?
 | cwhitMD I just saw your post, thing. Oops.I sure do...pretty well known/banned as well, haahha
 | Killerhit Thanks for making the best list ever
 | DaveyBoy Not bad, but I wouldn't say I loved it. On 1st listen, I actually dont like his voice. Kind of nasally. But I think I could get used to it. Songwriting seemed pretty good though.
 | pmmets07 just listened to the first track but it was awesome. i'll definitely download it. i never know how to classify this genre in iTunes... ocd prevents me from making a emo/indie/punk label.
 | GrindGod Hey, we fired the douchenozzle we had on publicity. Why do you still hate the band?
 | Kellerdeck Also, just so you don't get the wrong impression, I purposely changed up my trollsona every once and awhile. I legitimately have no alt accounts, but I change the way I respond to things every once and awhile. At first I was average band dude, than I was a sympathy target, and finally, the most dreaded of the forms, the Maynard. Hope you don't hate me for that. 'Haters' are good publicists.
 | Kellerdeck We're officially done for awhile. We seriously need to practice, you know that. xD I might still comment, but not post rest related s*** anywhere else. Good enough man?
 | LifeAsAChipmunk http://www.amazon.com/Top-20-Best-Jersey-Bands-Albums/lm/3UTQLGJERXHKN
 | OnlyAnchors yeah man for me its an album that you just have to hear it again immediately after the first listen.
 | pmmets07 haha yes you absolutely should. **** your emotional bulls*** is an amazing EP, and their LP is great too.
 | pmmets07 i listened to it 3 times yesterday, it's seriously the best party emo i've heard since snowing. if only i had money to preorder it :/
 | pmmets07 thanks dude! definitely gonna give it a full listen tomorrow and probably review it at some point this week. great band.
 | ASnideRemark I'm sorry but I'm slow as hell today and am pretty tired. Are you talking about my Mayday Parade review?
 | pmmets07 that is super catchy. reminds me of a loss for words and old fall out boy... ha. thanks
 | SkankinJake Thanks for the kind words. It's weird because I used to be a ska junkie, and now I'm a full on pop-punk junkie. Hopefully it doesn't get old for me haha. But anyway, our facebook page is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPg6N9dKVDo
 | andcas that s***'s pretty good.
 | DaveyBoy Catchy and have potential, but the mix of not enough grit or polish is a bit neither here nor there. Either needs to be slicker or harder. Pretty good for a band Ive never heard of though.
 | xandermander I'm writing a review for Narrows as we speak. They are both very high quality albums but I'm an ETID junkie so I give it a slight edge
 | DaveyBoy Go for it. No promises I will listen straight away, but I put them on a list to hear in the future.
 | BallsToTheWall scratch that....why target one group of people when you can target everybody....
