 | FrozenVain Hey, mate. I'm looking for a band, but I can't remember it's name. Someone wrote a review about it quite recently and it's a melodic death metal band from Finland. Their only album was released somewhere around maybe 1994-96 or something. The album cover was an gothic statue of an angel if I remember correctly. | Ecnalzen That might the best thing to do if you don't want get formal training and shell out the money for it. I would start out with the range you are most comfortable with and work your way from there. Maybe try singing along with scales as well after some practice. Be careful with your screams too, man, I hear you can really **** up your vocal cords if you do it wrong. Like I said, looking forward to more material, and I hope that helps if you decide to work on your cleans more.

| Ecnalzen Don't sell yourself short on your cleans, man. You have got decent tone, but you aren't always hitting the note you are going for. It happens more when you are in your higher register. If you know how to play piano at all, I would suggest trying to play notes and then matching it with your voice (could also try this with guitar). It could help with the accuracy of your pitch. That's cool about the collab your working on. Looking forward to hearing more stuff from you.

 | XingKing Using the same track you recorded will just turn it into a giant wall of noise, trust me. Your playing won't be exactly the same the second time, so it gives it that added textures from the odd intricacies that you will get the second time around. I'd say it's just the guitars

| XingKing It just depends on what kind of mix you want. Adding a second guitar and panning them differently, even if it's playing the exact same riffs, will add a large amount of texture and give the song a more 3D feel. I'm the same way about wanting to do everything myself so no worries

| XingKing If your're interested, I'd love to take a shot at mixing this if you wanna send me each individual track. You'd need to do the dual guitar tracks though, because if you duplicate the one guitar and slightly alter the time of the other, it'll never sound as natural as two separate tracks. As for the song in itself, riffs are sweet and metalz m/

| XingKing The vocals are too high in the mix and I'd take off just a bit of the reverb. From what I can tell, you have one guitar and it's panned completely center, with the exception of the solo. Record every guitar part twice and then pan one slightly to the right and one slightly to the left. I personally go 55% in both directions. It will add a load of space to your recording. Next, you need to EQ dat s*** because it's rather muddy.

| Ecnalzen Been listening to the album, cap'n. The music is pretty ****ing awesome from what I have heard and I like the overall mix (my production ear is not the best mind you, but it sounds great to me, especially since you did everything yourself). If I had to complain, I'd say the vocals could maybe use a little work, but mostly just the cleans (like on Prospect, What's Left But My Promise, etc). Great stuff all around though.

 | MrElmo K finally found the time to listen to your album and damn you sure had a lot of things to express! Didn't read all of the lyrics yet but the way you delivered them made the album a lot more engaging than the last time (vox are much better in general), also you brought a bit of everything this time around with atmosphere, riffs and some badass screams. It was really long but I enjoyed it a lot more than the last record with improvement eveywhere.

| SirArthur6 Hey I saw your comment on my shoutbox. I did like Profusion and there's a lot of it that's well-written and I can hear that but what brings it way down is the album length. After I finished it I really couldn't remember that much of it, or many highlights... it might be because I find that there are quite a lot of drawn out sections (that make the album move quite slowly) that make good ideas seem more monotonous, if you know what I mean.
