  • Parallels ok ill try. thank you for taking the time to read that all and for helping give me advice and your opinion on the matter, it does help

  • Relinquished I don't feel any sort of way against/for you, but I feel the same. I reached out to certain users as a shoulder to rest on/ear to listen. if you're going through some s***, I'm here. obviously you're set on your point of view on things and'll resort to retorts when confronted about said views, but remember that experience isn't always a reliable guide to connect entirely different people to those you've encountered.

  • Iamthe Nightstars I don't listen to Arrows as much anymore but they are still near the top of my list. I'll probably revisit them when winter comes around.
    June 28 06:43 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Pretty cool chill indie. Looks like a video I'd upload. Lol
    June 25 09:37 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol yeah. It would be so much easier if it wasn't me doing everything all by myself. That's why this metal ep took so long for me to finish. School and work are factors too of course.
    June 25 04:11 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars And don't feel discouraged by my guitar playing. I've been playing for over a decade now and it took a lot of time and effort to be able to do what I can do now.
    June 25 04:09 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Thanks, I'm glad you got something out of it. I don't think I will continue with this project, at least not for now. I have an acoustic ep and an emo ep I've been meaning to get around recording so those come next. Lol
    June 25 01:56 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This band played with Penfold when they reunited and went to Japan. Enjoyable ep I thought. http://youtu.be/e7rMLQMN5WM
    June 22 12:17 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Beautiful. I haven't heard a lot of post rock like this is is there a lot of it out there?
    June 21 12:14 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Pretty cool. Reminds me of Woodworkings a bit.
    June 11 10:34 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, I haven't heard much drone emo like that either. I think maybe the most impressive take on shoegaze emo I've heard was the first Sore Eyelids lp, but it didn't age well for me.
    June 9 10:35 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars A member of Barrow is in this band. Not bad, but I've yet to see any band master the shoegaze/emo combination. https://fleshandbone.bandcamp.com/album/close-enough
    June 7 10:25 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars You might like this. It reminded me of the last TWIAP ep. The songs don't flow that well though. https://worldsstrongestman.bandcamp.com/album/im-sorry-this-scares-you
    May 28 08:43 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I get along with my parents fine and it's cheaper so that's cool. But yeah, I don't have as much freedom/privacy or the ability to do some of the things I could before. The ep is instrumental melodic metalcore and it's only 15 minutes long. It should be finished with mixing and mastering in a few weeks I'll send you the link then.
    May 28 08:42 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I've been alright. I just moved back into my parents' house last month after being on my own for three years. Still kind of weird adjusting to things. I recently finally made myself finish that metal ep I've been working on for years now and it's being mixed and mastered right now, so that's kind of exciting. How are things on your end? I remember coming across LOE years ago. I think that guy was in Joan of Arc and is on the same label as the rest of the Kinsellas. They have a pretty cool sound.
    May 26 11:33 PM
  • GmemberKills just noticed you commented in a white seeD thread AGES ago saying you "love this". just wanna say i appreciate you listening.
    May 26 09:57 PM
  • Trebor. I had to after seeing them live
    May 11 06:15 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I got a big Zookeeper vibe from that Dolorean song. Even the vocals were similar in style to Chris Simpsons'. The DLR song has nice guitars, but I'm not entirely sold on the vocals.
    May 11 03:13 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Just came across this. I love that guitar tone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtJnsRq2ucQ

  • Iamthe Nightstars Nice list, thanks.
    May 5 03:39 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Great song. Flowed well for how long it is. This guy might not be the most original acoustic songwriter, but this song is exceptional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfvcPeWO8yk

  • Iamthe Nightstars I just got back from Owen/Blake Brown. Really great show. I spoke briefly with Blake before I left. He was surprised when i mentioned Harboring Secrets and how I bought it from him through the mail almost ten years ago. He said he never published it. It's like it doesn't even exist! Lol
    April 25 03:18 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yup it's reconvene.
    April 22 09:09 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars lol. Go for it. The album that song is on is really good I think. His first album is pretty good too but doesn't reach the same quality and doesn't have as much variety.
    April 21 06:52 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, I really like how unique his voice is. It's like a mix of a girl and a guy. It's crazy how that album and his other solo album aren't available anywhere online. They used to be on itunes but not anymore. I'm glad I discovered him a long time ago and got them before it was too late.
    April 21 12:23 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars That Aereogramme song is really cool. Especially the ending. Have you listened to much of them?
    April 19 10:52 PM
  • Flugmorph Your second post and mine after that got lost, why? :(
    April 19 10:13 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This guy is opening solo for Owen and with his band the next night for American Football. I've been listening to him since I found his music in high school. Very talented songwriter I'd say. The album this song is on isn't available online anymore so I uploaded it onto soulseek if you think you ever might want it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQmjmW5-Erg

  • Iamthe Nightstars Apparently Daniel Land was listening to this a lot when he wrote the Voss EP. https://asaks.bandcamp.com/album/the-millia-pink-and-green-ep

  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol, but we already found them all.
    April 11 08:20 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Never heard of them. Music is good but the vocals are pretty bad at parts. The last song was the highlight for sure.
    April 11 01:45 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Also, ever listen to Enya? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiFTXckh0zU
    April 7 11:59 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I saw an article for this song saying it was the most relaxing song ever according to some scientists doing a study. I'm not sure how that works, sounds more like an opinion to me. It's good ambient though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CySNhHVAokQ
    April 7 11:59 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Did you ever get into Tallest Man on Earth? He's arguably the modern day Bob Dylan. Well, his new album just leaked and it's the first one where he incorporated a full backing band. It's pretty cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0QIPpBV1D0
    April 7 12:36 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I've heard a little bit of them. My friend was telling me about them.

  • Iamthe Nightstars Nice song. Even though it was almost 6 minutes it felt short. The piano was awesome.

  • Iamthe Nightstars I just got this album in the mail a couple of days ago. Definitely 90's emo influenced but they kind of had a more poppy and modern approach. The album is quite solid if you want it. They had a girl on bass that also did backing vocals. So I guess that makes them unique. Lol. The end of this song is cathartic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFzo-dr8M6c
    March 29 01:41 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, that album is ok. There's a couple parts where the lyrics and melody are almost verbatim to Mineral which kind of bugs me.

    March 25 02:10 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I'm not sure why that happened. Weird glitch of some sort.
    March 24 07:33 PM
  • Lol, I actually posted one of the songs from that Margot EP a while back. They sound like early Mineral. That other song is cool how quiet the mix is for how many instruments there are. Happy birthday btw.
    March 24 01:25 PM
  • RosaParks ufck you
    March 17 11:22 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I've also seen quite a few interesting and bizarre foreign Japanese films.
    March 17 05:29 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Japan definitely has a fascinating culture. It kind of seems like they do everything better than other countries with things like video games and game shows. I listened to athletics a long time ago and couldn't get into them. Still can't, but it's pretty decent for the genre.
    March 17 05:25 PM

  • Iamthe Nightstars Not too shabby Japanese indie emo band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOuyQcBKYtE
    March 13 01:13 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This is an odd rec for me because I heard this song on the radio and I hardly ever like anything I hear on the radio. Lol. This song was playing early in the morning on my drive home from a concert a few days ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nMN0LWh8Bo

  • Sniff Solved it. Got my NWZ-A17 in the mail a couple of days ago. It's super sweet. Thanks for taking the time and helping me.
    February 15 01:51 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I heard most of it but found the majority of it to be mediocre. It's been a long time since I've listened though, I don't even remember what it sounds like. The only song by them that stuck with me was "Tiglio". Killer song. I remember sending you it ages ago. Haha. Are you talking about The Tigra Songs? I might give it a spin again if you insist.
    February 14 07:59 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I see, sorry to hear. Good luck with that and finding a job.

  • Iamthe Nightstars time because it's much easier than searching the internet for albums. Plus, a really handy thing about it is how it tells you the bit rate of the songs from whoever uploaded that certain album so you can just scroll down to find the highest quality if you want. Of course though, I can't find everything I'm looking for on it.
    January 18 10:28 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars What worries you about soulseek? Is it the whole illegal downloading thing? Because I looked into it and from what I read you won't get caught for downloading off of there but you can for uploading albums onto it. The things I've uploaded are all from dead bands that hardly anyone cares about or aren't on a label so I think I'm safe. Lol. It took me a while to figure out how to use it but once I got accustomed to it it's pretty simple. If you have any questions just ask. I use it all the

  • Iamthe Nightstars Thanks. The house from the American Football album cover is for sale. http://chambana.craigslist.org/apa/4827670641.html It's cool seeing different pictures of it and the inside. And lucky me, they just announced they're coming to Denver in April.
    January 16 06:48 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This is a quality song. They're from Mexico but you could hardly tell from listening because the accent is so faint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrtwLzESXsQ
    January 16 02:11 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars That Kilgore Trout song sounded good though I wish the production was better. Those cymbals are overbearing. The Locktender song is pretty. I wish I could write stuff like that. Lol, I don't know how emo became a Japanese thing, but they seem to do it better than most other emo bands.
    January 16 01:54 AM
  • KrazyKris By the way, you might have grown cynical. I can see that and you won't meet too many people that would understand it better. But your lists, your comments, your self-awareness, all that says very much about you and it isn't that you're cynical. And even if so, with the little part of you I've got to know, I'm quite sure it isn't a quality that defines you all that defines you. You still care, at least about your own place and impact on your environment. That's more than most people do.
    January 15 06:42 PM
  • KrazyKris And, well, that discussion actually had the benefit of showing how deep those still are. Somehow I think I'm the only to think that is good though. But I really don't want to bother you with this endlessly. By now I think you might be my favourite user here. You're a really cool guy and yeah, I get that quote. Here one that isn't from some tv show, only from me: "Feeling unbelievably crappy is probably always better than feeling nothing." Kind of keeps suicide and drugs away.
    January 15 06:34 PM
  • KrazyKris They didn't just question but completely negate the fact that I could love someone enough to respect her opinion. And as pathetic as that might be, although I haven't seen her for over 2 years now, that unbelievably deep feeling is pretty much anything that I have left. Retrospectively that situation back then destroyed one person and brought another one to life. One that thinks endlessly, is kind of misanthropic and relies on feelings that won't be reciprocated.
    January 15 06:31 PM
  • KrazyKris Yeah, I think I get that. It's one of the things I really, no deep emotion left at all. And you are somewhat right, I still get used up about stuff like that, for some part because they were "attacking" my principles. And I'm not afraid to admit they are a defense mechanism. A life without them is completely unpredictable and I couldn't handle that. I'm honest, because at the end of the day it makes situations easier. But the main reason is probably a different one.
    January 15 06:26 PM
  • KrazyKris Still, shouldn't have let this get to me, but as much as I try to stay of that crap, I don't like being misinterpreted and underestimated what would follow after my reaction. People just can't work with unusual opinions it seems. Anyway, thanks again for all the great talks and I'll still check my shoutbox every day, just not posting anywhere, so I guess we'll still be hearing from each other.
    January 15 05:04 PM
  • KrazyKris I think you overestimate my passion/interest in those things though. That is kind of why I'm who I am and where I am. Life sucks if you have nothing you want and no goal to reach. And I really don't have. I'm pretty much indifferent to anything, except for this one situation. Which makes moving on seem pretty stupid, cause only thing waiting after that is some kind of nothingness. Maybe no sadness, maybe a little bit more fun, but nothing that would even come close to make me happy.
    January 15 05:01 PM
  • KrazyKris At first: Thanks. And I really means thanks and not just thanks. Guess that makes sense. But to answer, I don't know if four years still count as phase or something, but yeah, hasn't been great. Usually I have no problem with people disagreeing, mocking me and all that. I don't care. And it wasn't even that it was insulting, which it was. It's just that I let me being dragged into a discussion that brought things to life that haven't been for quite some time. That's the sadness part I meant.
    January 15 04:57 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Most of this guy's stuff is mediocre but he has a few good ones. This is in the vein of Jettie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVmfOz5uKTU

    January 9 04:19 PM

  • Sniff Back to the Sony question. What type do you have and where did you get it? Can't find any players with decent amount of storage that they want to ship to Sweden ;(
    January 7 03:19 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I've heard of Rocky Votolato ages ago. I'm pretty sure he is brothers with the guitarist of The Blood Brothers if I remember right. Shores reminds me a bit of Early Day Miners.
    January 4 05:00 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars It always puzzled me how they're so overlooked on the internet. It's weird how so many good bands go unnoticed. Mike Kinsella had this song on a playlist he made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da7gMOY8bTA

  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, I wasn't big on their last LP either. Their EP "Some Stories We Trust" is a bit more solid than GR in my opinion, but they're both great. I'm uploading those eps and the first lp right now and I'll send you the link when they're done. And thanks, I'll check out Logh.
    December 29 07:32 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Haha, that's awesome. I'm really glad to hear that as they are one of the most important bands to me that I've come across. If you want any of their music I can upload it for you. I'm going to listen to that song now.
    December 29 06:21 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Also, I appreciate you reaching out to me. Thanks for that. I'll do that if I feel necessary. Don't be afraid to do so to me if you feel you need to.

    December 27 05:21 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, I know what you mean. My tourettes doesn't hurt or anything though like the guy in the video said. I've actually not heard of that before. it's just a weird sensation that's really hard to explain. That guy's diet it's admirable but a bit excessive in my opinion. You have to treat yourself now ands then. The same meal every day sounds awful.
    December 27 12:47 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot and thanks btw
    December 26 06:04 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot i think if you liked vanessa rossetto you'd probably find something to enjoy
    December 26 06:02 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot you might like this kate carr album dude. if not, i'd still appreciate you peeping my review of it :3
    December 26 05:38 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, I usually don't care for covers but he did a great job at making that song his own. The original is pretty punkish. I've heard twothirtyeight a while ago but didn't like them enough to keep them in my library. This song is decent though. Merry Christmas, by the way.
    December 25 11:12 PM
  • Sniff Sweet. Thanks brah
    December 23 05:42 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Ah. Well it's the first song on the album, "descender".
    December 22 09:40 PM
  • Sniff My iPods harddrive just broke. Walkmans any good?
    December 22 07:28 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This is probably my favorite cover from the new Owen album. I like the lyrics a lot, especially the part about cuts on her feet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om9zjoY87oY

    December 10 11:08 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I listened through that bands music on bandcamp but need to listen more to decide. I'm on my phone right now so i can't link this but you should look up the kittyhawk album "hello again". It has lead female vocals and has an old Midwest sound I thought you would dig.
    December 9 01:51 AM

  • Iamthe Nightstars *it not out.
    November 28 02:08 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah, that album is really great. You should give out another shot sometime, I was surprised you didn't like it. It's a bit unfortunate though that that video became my most viewed video all because it was featured on a parkway drive DVD.
    November 28 02:07 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars It's nice, but I was expecting it to go somewhere. Oh well. I'll check out that Smith Street album soon.

  • Iamthe Nightstars I just found out the guy from Rivulets is living in Denver. I'll have to try to catch one of his shows sometime.
    November 19 09:45 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I'll probably stop caring to look soon enough but every now and then I get lucky and find something good. Lol. I too sometimes wish technology wasn't as advanced as it is today. It seems to be too much of a distraction sometimes.
    November 19 12:46 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I'm not crazy about this band, but the intro of this song is like the prettiest thing ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZvUZP7inwg
    November 18 05:56 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Not bad. It reminds me of Home Grown, a band I haven't listened to for years now.
    November 17 10:31 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot fair enough. I don't discover much music through sput these days tbh but I enjoy the community
    November 15 11:45 AM

    November 13 06:28 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol. Yeah, that's a pretty cool album.
    November 11 03:41 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I hardly know anything about recording I kind of just used google search and taught myself mostly. Lots of trial and error and experimenting. If you have any questions I can try to help. And I don't usually buy music physically unless it's the only way I am able to hear it or if it's in a higher sound quality like these cases were. I did buy a used copy of that The Alexander cd though because I really liked it and it was cool to have the lyrics and see all the liner notes.
    November 5 06:07 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars This Rainer Maria song is cool. I could never really get into them though. I think it might just be that I don't really like female fronted emo bands. Not sure why exactly, it just feels weird to me. And you don't need a lot of money for recording gear if you're interested. Well, you might. It just depends on what you want to do, really. A $100 microphone will do just fine for vocals and recording acoustic guitar. And I use audacity (which is free to download) as my recording software.
    November 5 05:51 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I also just got the Pretty the Quick Black Eyes ep in the mail as well because I couldn't find a high quality version of it online. The songs sound much better if you want me to upload it for you. This might be my favorite post Mineral project ep.
    November 3 08:45 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars So that Pop Unknown/Sometree split is nowhere to be found online. At least digitally it's not. Even the physical 7" was hard to track down. But I decided to order the 7" record and convert it to mp3. The thing is though that my cheap turntable can only convert the song in 128 kbps. But at least you can hear it. It's a pretty neat song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1hWBiiuaEk

  • Iamthe Nightstars I've heard a couple of songs from that EP. I think spoken word is a cool concept but a lot of bands have trouble pulling it off without it sounding too melodramatic. I think the reason this EP got a lot of criticism is because of the awkward placement of the spoken word parts over the music. Also it seems kind of obnoxious to have it be there the whole time. As a counter rec here is a band that I thought utilized spoken word parts really well. Not sure if you'll like it though.
    October 31 07:57 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Trippy song. Most minimalist music seems to have an ominous feel to it.
    October 30 11:54 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Haha, damn I knew the name sounded familiar. Before I check out your link I just have to say I literally just discovered this. It's the other guitarist from Mineral after Mineral. He sure writes some awesome leads like at the end of this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yk6fmcruMpg
    October 29 08:19 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Also, I just found out that Pop Unknown got back together in February without Gabe. They're writing new material.
    October 27 08:37 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Have you heard of Sometree? I just found them because they did a split in 2000 with Pop Unknown. I have only heard the first two songs on this but they sounded quite good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ7X5ND5Rp0
    October 27 08:36 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars If this track list is correct it looks like there aren't any unreleased songs, just alternate takes. Oh, well. https://rateyourmusic.com/release/comp/mineral/1994___1998__the_complete_collection/
    October 25 04:59 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Oh alright.
    October 23 07:05 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Japanese? Their band camp says Massachusetts
    October 22 06:54 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I like the lo fi sounding guitars in this. The vocals are what I think make the song. He seems to be giving it all he's got. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKc3rd5OA-w
    October 21 08:03 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars You were right. This album does sound a lot like Rika's lp. I might like it more but still need to listen more to decide. It doesn't have much variety unfortunately.
    October 20 05:04 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I've only listened to a few songs so far so i can't really say yet.

  • Iamthe Nightstars I bought the mp3s from Amazon if you want them
    October 17 01:46 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Not bad but doesn't really grab me. I'm looking through forums right now for more obscure emo bands (God, I need a life) and found the band Serene. I saw you uploaded them to the database. Have you listened to that album yet? I've heard the song "Beggars of the Sea" and it sounded pretty great.
    October 16 07:35 PM
  • Trebor. How's it going man?
    October 16 04:49 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Pretty much. Lol
    October 13 09:35 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars At the show they said he wasn't able to make it because he just had a kid.
    October 12 06:22 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yeah,it's weird. I kind of have to be in the mood to listen to that album but it's really good. Drive by monologue is an epic song. Yes I saw cfd with mineral the second time isaw them. It was cool but their bass player couldn't make it so they played a low key set with the singer on an electric acoustic guitar so the songs sounded alot different unfortunately. But they closed with about two days which was rad because i didn't expect them to play that one.
    October 12 03:49 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Well the af album is the only album where he actually belts out his vocals. Since then he never really tried to sing like that in any Owen recrecord. It's kind of a bummer.
    October 11 10:51 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I almost feel content not to see them after already seen Mineral, but I still feel like I have to while I have the chance. I might see them in Chicago in December or January.
    October 10 05:23 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Too bad Mike can't really sing anymore. Haha.
    October 10 05:14 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars That's Nate Kinsella from Birthmark on the bass.
    October 10 05:12 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars There are parts of the songs on that album that sound really good, but overall the music didn't seem focused to me. AF got this song dead on. It sounds just like the album version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M86nt4JO78
    October 10 05:11 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars That Emperor X song is good. I only listened to a couple minutes of that ambient song but it was pretty. I'll have to come back to it when I have more time. I listened to that My Spacecoaster album but wasn't crazy about it.
    October 10 04:52 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars No worries.
    October 8 07:23 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot yeah, definitely agree but I still wanna try and see things from the point of view of guys who criticize it. the dude seemed pretty steadfast with his opinion, so it wouldn't hurt for me to at least consider it if it'll help my writing in the grand scheme of things
    October 6 08:12 PM

  • Iamthe Nightstars I didn't like these guys' old stuff, but this album sounded great on first listen. It is really heavy hitting like the soundoff for it suggests. http://inthewakeofgiants.bandcamp.com/

  • Iamthe Nightstars That sounds interesting I'll try to remember it when I have time. Right now I'm working full time and am a part time student.
    October 3 07:30 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Sure thing, I'll probably wait a couple days to submit

    October 2 12:05 PM
  • YakNips damn dude i don't think that at all
    October 1 09:21 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars The book is great. It does a good job analyzing the shy and awkwardness in teenage years that I had. The movie was not so great and left out a ton of stuff that made the book good. Which is usually the case when movies are made from books. The only scene I liked was the one that had that song. Lol. I have listened to a lot of Fear Before. I haven't heard much of All Human though. Lyrics here are weird as usual for him. Haha. The ending is really nice.
    October 1 07:55 PM
  • YakNips lol yeah tbh Sadstyle 2 is what i've been waiting for
    October 1 05:35 PM
  • YakNips lol i didn't 5 it actually, that was someone else, but i thought it was amazing on first listen, honestly think this might be her best since Sadstyle, which makes me really happy :]] A lot of really sweet and memorable tracks for me
    October 1 05:28 PM
  • YakNips brah what do you think of the new S album?

    September 29 09:22 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Not sure if you'll like this but here is some cool upbeat emo. I've probably listened to this EP at least 30 times since it's been released. I don't feel a huge emotional connection to it but I like it a lot more than most of the "twinkly" bands out there. http://mildura.bandcamp.com/album/if-not-okay
    September 28 08:36 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Oh, I've already wasted a few semesters and money in college. It's mainly because I didn't want to be there because I was just tired of school and had no idea what I wanted to go for. But, I won't be seeing AF tomorrow. My flight just got cancelled because there was a fire incident at the airport I was going to fly to yesterday. Apparently an air traffic controller decided to commit suicide. Pretty ridiculous and stupid.
    September 27 08:23 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Lol, that's a big compliment, thanks! I'll probably apply for contrib this year and see what happens
    September 27 05:26 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I'm just ranting now. Yes I'm going to school for medical assisting. I'm a bit worried at the moment because when I finally get the degree I wonder if I might end up hating the job and all this time and money would be wasted. That's a quality song by the way.
    September 27 03:49 PM
  • I can emphasize with you on the girl thing. I'm still in love with this girl I haven't even seen or talked to in two years. I want to be over it but I can't.I don't get it. I wish I had the same mindset as I did ten years ago when love and girls weren't so important to me as they have become. Also I can't seem to cure my unenthusiastic way I've developed. It's all just a helpless feeling. I'm seeing American football tomorrow and it's like I'm not as excited as I should be. But anyways, sorry I

    September 23 07:12 PM

    September 21 07:55 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars *as if he had no idea that I knew he was.
    September 20 07:19 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol, exactly. I kept thinking I could die happy now on the drive home. Before I left he asked me what my name was and after I told him he said "I'm Chris, nice to meet you". Kind of funny it was as if he had no idea who he was.
    September 20 06:19 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I met Chris in the back of the venue last night after the show. He was really soft spoken and humble. Which is kind of ironic seeing he's the frontman and screams into the mic. He gave me this warm smile while we were talking. He seemed like a real genuine guy.
    September 20 01:59 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Dunno if I've recced you tide/edit yet but give that a spin for sure
    September 18 02:20 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Ah. You wouldn't like Floral then :(
    September 18 02:19 PM

    September 17 09:01 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Oops, it's actually in 256, but I think there's not much difference between the two. http://www.mediafire.com/download/1zyyrvss3lutzsv/Few And Far Between--Three.rar
    September 16 05:50 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Yes, that is a great song. I still haven't listened to the album enough to make a final judgement but it's probably a 3.5 at the least. I have the link to that album and the rest of their discography in 320 if you want it.
    September 15 05:59 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I thought he sounded fine. I was pretty caught up in the moment though it would have taken a lot for me to be disappointed by the show. I'm glad I'm seeing them again on friday because once didn't feel like enough. I've heard a couple Wrens songs but it didn't feel like my cup of tea. I'll try listening to them more.
    September 14 08:15 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol. That was me yelling at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OPkWOFVwEM
    September 13 05:43 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars No, not really. I only heard that because I'm friends with the guy on facebook and he posted it on there. I mostly hear new music from bandcamp.
    September 10 06:11 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Also, this is a neat slowcore remix (I think?) of Never Meant. Too bad the vocals sound goofy. https://soundcloud.com/andserenading/never-meant-screwed

  • Iamthe Nightstars I've listened to half of that Invierno album but I still need to check out the rest.
    September 8 11:16 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars ayed an hour and a half set so I can't complain. I bought a tour shirt that had dates on the back of it. After the show I accidentally met Gabe's wife outside the venue. Lol. And then Gabe came out a few minutes later. I talked with him for maybe five minutes and he was telling me how he hasn't played drums in five years and he's a paramedic now and has two kids. I didn't get to meet anyone else from the band unfortunately but I'm going to try at the Denver show.
    September 8 11:13 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I just got home last night. The show was surreal as was the whole trip. I was in the front row. I talked to a handful of people at the venue and it was weird being able to talk about emo bands with people. Some people were stage diving during "A Letter" and "Gloria". Lol. But I felt for the most part the crowd was kind of boring and mostly stood there. I felt like there were only maybe 10 or 15 other people that were as into it as I was. Chris didn't talk a whole lot in between songs but they pl
    September 8 11:06 AM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot huh. I could've sworn I found it on band camp but I guess I don't even remember... should've posted the link in my review, sorry dude. glad you sorted it out though

    September 5 09:47 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot PS and check the last 2 albums I revved, you'd probably dig them a bit. PPS tide/edit - foreign languages is the best math rock album of 2014
    September 5 06:46 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot I'm pretty sure it's on bandcamp man
    September 5 06:44 PM

    September 2 06:00 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Thanks man! I've got another in the works already so keep tuned lol
    September 2 02:02 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Lol. Arnold's drive in was actually my brothers friends band when I was younger. They were a big influence on me when I was in high school. I'm glad you dig them. I'll check out your link when I get home later.
    September 2 01:34 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot some also great neo-classicalhttp://shop.oskarschuster.com/album/sneeuwland
    September 1 09:41 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars Nice. I also noticed on Crank Records website that there are a few more lines of lyrics for Palisade that aren't on the album version. Maybe those lyrics were on an alternate version of the song yet to be released? http://www.crankthis.com/mineral_lyrics.html
    September 1 04:52 PM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I know I've heard their song "waking up tired" a long time ago but I forgot who it was even by until just recently. I'm not sure how I forgot because that's a really good song too.
    August 31 11:08 AM
  • Iamthe Nightstars I appreciate the offer but I'll be leaving in the afternoon of the 7th.
