| Ethics Sexy Voice and Robo, which is a manga where this chick manipulates her voice to learn more about the psychology behind what drives men to pay for phone sex or whatever. It's pretty funny/cool. I'm not a huge fan, but I thought the main character (the chick) could suit well as an avatar. Liked the green background and her hair. Why do you ask?

 | FictionalFlames Firewind is pretty sick, probably the best power metal band out there, and you probably already know of Blind Guardian. Also Mystic Prophecy is something you might enjoy, they've been compared to Iced Earth before. Also, Sabaton has extremely deep vocals for power metal.

I studied music since I was little so it's not like I don't know anything about it, and most of my friends too. | TheNotrap Sure, that's a lot of great bands out there like, Hour of Penance, Gorod (specially the last one), Psycroptic, Dying Fetus, Allegaeon,...But in my opinion some tech death bands need to put the wankery in the service of songwriting not the opposite.

| TheNotrap You can't go wrong with Metal Church, try Blessing in Disguise, The Dark, Human Factor or their debut. Try also Sanctuary's debut, criminally underrated.

| TheNotrap Carnival is Forever is probably their worst album, but still remains an enjoyable effort. All their stuff is great, specially Organic Hallucinosis my favourite at the moment.

| Pr0nogo 1. no2. What else would God Dethroned be? A lot of melodic death metal bands play low end stuff and have chugs - albeit, they aren't the focus of the songs. They have a little bit of a technical side, sure, but the production makes it more of a melodic influence. They certainly aren't slamming/brutal, deathcore, or thrash metal. If you're insinuating that they're just plain 'death metal', I'm fine with that classification. I don't have subgenres of death metal in my iTunes anyways.

 | MO Man the whole album is pretty spectacular. But notable tracks for me are April Ethereal (my first ever Opeth song, that outro is the best Opeth's ever sounded), When, Credence, Demon of the Fall and Epilogue (amazing Camel influence). Give it time man, this album will click soon.

| MO Easily their best album. It just has an overall really dark and murky feel which is helped by the production. A very gloomy album and one of their harder ones to get into. They do take some time to "get" but once you do their stuff rules. They basically got me into heavier music.

I should do the Under the Sights of the Iron Cross, don't know why I never started that.Currently reviewing Uncreation's "Burning Blood", a great melodeath release that you'll definitely enjoy if you like God Dethroned, Amon Amarth, and/or Hate (all of which I know you do). It has power metal solos and s***. Crazy.

| Pr0nogo Unhallowed is great, Nocturnal is better, Deflorate is the best so far IMO. They get progressively better every album, much like Job for a Cowboy, which I will also be reviewing later on.

 | Crysis If you don't really like the vocals and don't like the blast beats then you will have a very very hard time getting into black metal. The only Behemoth album I like is their EP "And The Forests Dream Eternally", other than that I don't really like them.

| Crysis Give "Storm Of The Light's Bane" by Dissection a try, it's an excellent gateway album. It's not really honest-to-goodness black metal (it's really labeled as blackened death metal) but it's close enough and is an album a lot of people use to get into the genre. Also give "Bergtatt" by Ulver a listen.
