  • CalculatingInfinity I know you reviewed Mars but another won't hurt, if you decide to review it I'll be waiting for it :]
    April 19 02:06 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Also I think it would be cool if you did a review of it, since it doesn't have one and having more people checking out Gackt on Sput would be nice.
    April 19 12:52 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Ok, thanks anyway. Personally the album's probably going to end up as a 4.5 (although I find Mars superior, as evident by my soundoff), so I'll try to stick it out and decode the story.
    April 19 12:48 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Hey man, I've been recently jamming Re:Born by Gackt a ton and I'm really enjoying it but if possible can you question me a question about it if it's no trouble. From what I'm aware Re:Born has a complex story although since the lyrics are Japanese and many websites say many different things about it, I have no idea where to start or what it's about. Do you anything about the album's concept or any means behind certain songs?
    April 19 09:48 AM
  • CaptainDooRight nice list bro. I really want to get into some Japanese music so I know you've reviewed a lot so I'll have to go through some of your reviews.
    March 7 01:10 PM
  • Kralle ok

    February 27 09:14 AM

    January 27 03:38 PM

    December 22 05:23 AM
  • Pheromone that's fair enough, I can't even play an instrument.
    December 21 06:48 PM
  • Pheromone How do you get time to listen to so much music dude?
    December 21 04:08 PM
  • RunOfTheMill Thanks a lot!
    December 18 04:02 PM
  • RunOfTheMill Actually, any kind of Japanese music is good, I'm open to new experiences :D
    December 17 01:35 PM
  • RunOfTheMill Hey there, I've noticed while lurking around that you're the go-to person on the site for Japanese music. I've been trying to find some good Jap metal bands recently (I'm in love with X, so). Could you possibly point me in the right direction? :P
    December 17 01:33 PM
  • Pheromone If you do check out Modern Age, it's by far their best
    December 17 04:15 AM
  • Pheromone You might like this track www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhPEi6zz4io?I had a mate that told me they were a pretty sweet band and for the most part they're pretty average but that is definitely their best track.
    December 16 04:20 PM
  • Pheromone Cheers man, listening to it now, that bass line in Kirameki is killer
    December 16 01:37 PM
  • Pheromone About the Buck-Tick album, do you know where I would be able to find that anywhere? I can't find any streaming sites with it on and it doesn't ship over to England
    December 15 10:41 AM
  • Pheromone I've been meaning to check out Judy and Mary for some time now but I've never gotten around to it. On another note I see you've rated a lot of Buck-Tick and I'm probably going to start on their discog sometime in the next week so I was wondering on a good place to start?
    December 11 01:20 PM
  • Pheromone What do you think of YUKI? I recently went back and listened to basically her whole discog and I was presently surprised, particularly with the album PRISMIC, and I basically saw that you were the only one who has rated her works and you gave them pretty high scores.
    December 10 01:51 PM

    October 1 08:27 AM
  • Captain North Hey man, since you seem to be one of sputniks foremost Japan experts, could you give any recs for a fan of Ling Tosite Sigure? (they're my absolute favourite band btw)
    September 20 11:34 AM
  • VlacDrac If you like noise maybe you would like it, I'd rec you Trapped in an Organic room, kinda droney, I like it.

    June 20 07:55 PM
  • treeqt. does your nandacollection rating imply it leaked?
    June 19 12:50 PM
  • Havey Hi man I've got a theory and I think you'd be interested. I can imagine you've added a whole lot of bands/albums to the database. So if you want the number of band/album edits you've made to show up on your profile (always fun to see how much you've contributed!), just create a news article (for the statistics to show up you need at least 1 of each: soundoff, news article, band edit and album edit). I think that's how it works anyway, worked for me and I'd like to see if it turns out to be true!
    April 7 05:58 AM
  • WashboardSuds sweet thanks dude, I'll check these out right away. you're awesome man
    March 29 02:34 PM

    December 24 01:03 PM
  • TRMshadow Ever checked out FLOW? Pop-punk from Japan; they've done a couple anime openings which is what got me into them, but they're a pretty solid band (for the genre) in their own right.
    December 21 05:40 AM
  • TRMshadow It seems like I keep running into your name wherever I go, so let me just say this. You have absolutely phenomenal taste in music. I wish all the guys here at sputnik were like you; equal love for the mainstream as well as the unknown.
    December 20 06:16 AM
  • FictionalFlames Fair enough, I thought you didn't know about them. But if you're an optimist I recommend their new album.
    November 27 08:37 PM
  • FictionalFlames After seeing a few of your Japanese music lists. Personally, I'm surprised you haven't included Galneryus in any of your lists.
    November 27 03:00 PM
  • foxblood dude holy s*** you like tokyo girls style? they're probably my favorite girl group at the moment
    November 21 01:07 AM
  • SisterSalt Whoops, double-post. Still getting the hang of the site, and also not awake yet.
    November 7 11:45 AM
  • SisterSalt I've noticed your name around a lot of the Japanese band pages that I like (often as the only contributor) so I thought I'd come say hi! I went through a huge J-Rock phase a few years ago... a quick peek at my profile will tell you which bands stuck. ;)

  • Slothy I like Uchoten (and the work of Kera solo); and Tomo Furukawa also. Thanks for everything!
    November 4 07:49 PM
  • Mabbitt Blood Stain Child are pretty good too...but I don't really know TOO many bands
    October 12 10:43 PM
  • Mabbitt I really like 2side1BRAIN, and I know they're the typical choices, but Dir En Grey and X Japan too.
    October 12 10:42 PM
  • Mabbitt Yes indeed
    September 29 05:46 PM
  • WashboardSuds yeah i did like Dos, its pretty chill stuff! and I've been craving new stuff so I'll look into the novembers right away. lol

    August 30 05:36 PM
  • Streams I thought so too. I hope their new material is better. Just thought you'd be into it because you're into avant garde stuff.
    July 8 06:08 PM
  • Streams You should check out the Rest album
    July 8 06:00 PM
  • ultradevilgod Ok dude...i never thought slapshock would be known to other countries. They're just an average rap metal group that got big when the NU-metal genre exploded.
    March 30 03:19 PM
  • ultradevilgod One of your best Nu-metal bands is slapshock? Never thought there name will show up in Sputnikmusic other than Urbandub. You pinoy dude?
    March 27 08:20 PM
  • MoninguMusume Haha. I haven't really heard any of Sharan Q's songs, though I really like Tsunku's voice.
    February 23 05:58 PM
  • MoninguMusume Thanks! I love your Tsunku profile pic. :) Morning Musume was...I believe the 2nd? female Japanese group that I had heard of. I ADORE Morning Musume....the girls are my life basically.
    February 23 02:59 AM
  • X3ni92 Haha thats pretty sweet :D Thanks for letting me know (:
    February 21 07:49 PM
  • X3ni92 Oh yes of course, Morning Musume is part of Hello Project.
    February 21 06:49 PM

    February 21 04:29 PM

    February 15 11:44 AM
  • X3ni92 Have you ever heard of Humming Urban Stereo o:
    February 15 10:22 AM
  • loppakslusk Thanks! Nice artist album contributions, most of the japanese stuff I rated was yours, hahah.
    February 11 06:47 AM
  • X3ni92 Oh so what can be suspected as troll ratings such as too many 1's or 5's for a certain band. Right, happened to me once.
    January 11 03:26 PM
  • X3ni92 Oh really now? That's odd...what do you mean by category though?
    January 11 11:03 AM
  • X3ni92 What happened -_-
    January 3 10:16 PM
  • X3ni92 Woah, what happened to all of your ratings? lol
    January 3 12:33 PM
  • immortalizepain mabuhay ang pinoy. :D
    January 1 12:25 AM
  • X3ni92 ****, you passed me in ratings D:
    December 24 03:09 PM
  • BSX I'll check them out
    December 23 03:10 PM
  • BSX I'd kill to them live, they're the only J-Rock band I follow
    December 23 05:21 AM
  • BSX L'Arc en Ciel!!! YES
    December 22 04:03 AM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Malice Mizer was my very first J-rock group ONLINE that is. Yeah now that you mention it Velvet Eden is sort of electronic.
    November 26 01:08 AM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Surprisingly I have. I'm not really fond of older Japanese rock (other than X Japan, Velvet Eden, Shazna, Baiser etc.) though they're pretty good.
    November 25 07:36 PM
  • X3ni92 I haven't watched anything from Masters of Horror
    November 25 06:04 PM
  • X3ni92 and you call yourself a Takashi fan. d:
    November 25 05:50 PM
  • X3ni92 They're fantastic. I suggest you check 'em out. Considering what I've seen, I agree haha.
    November 25 05:46 PM
  • X3ni92 Only movies I've seen from Takashii are Ichi the Killer and Audition. I'll probably check out 13 Assassins. Have you seen Confessions or Bedevilled?
    November 25 05:42 PM
  • X3ni92 Gotta start a new trend lol. Foreign movie avatars. Sono is such a fantastic director. Hes made my favorite Asian films. Suicide Club, Strange Circus and Love Exposure being a few.
    November 25 05:24 PM
  • X3ni92 Hey, to each his own. I like J-pop too, but I'm more into K-pop, lol. I'm a big foreign film junkie. Love Foreign films..in fact its basically all I watch.
    November 25 04:50 PM
  • X3ni92 Just out of curiosity, what turns you off from K-pop? Why yes, yes it is. Love that movie.
    November 25 03:52 PM
  • X3ni92 oh, haha alright. My mistake then? I think lol.
    November 25 03:02 PM
  • X3ni92 same, I just saw that you rated 2NE1 a 2, so I thought I'd make a stupid comment.
    November 25 02:02 PM
  • X3ni92 How about that autotune?
    November 24 11:39 PM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 If you think about it, Tsunku got inspired by earlier pop idols to start Hello! Project. So it would be only natural to think of them when someone listens to them. :)
    November 24 07:06 PM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Just checked out Tomoe. MiniMoni is definitely what I thought of when I heard her. She is kind of a mixture of Nozomi and Ai Kago from MM. Denki Groove is kind of funny, but not my type.
    November 24 02:08 PM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Out of those I only listen to Globe and BeForU. Though I'm open to any song recommendations of the other 2.
    November 24 01:49 PM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Yup. It's one of my favorite genres of music.
    November 24 01:25 PM
  • NaegaSalang2NE1 Thanks! I love Morning Musume.
    November 24 03:22 AM
  • TheAshes oooo some artists? sweet, I'll look into those. thanks man
    October 19 04:23 PM
  • TheAshes Yeah man, that stuff's awesome. You into the J-pop scene? I've been meaning to get into it more
    October 4 02:25 PM
  • Activista anti-MTV Nasir Jones - Ilmatic. I have listened to that one so many times. Any other good ones?
    September 24 01:28 PM
  • Activista anti-MTV Nice, I am from Minnesota, so I love Atmosphere. He has lots of concerts up this way. I like Del tha funkee homosapien, lately I have been into Kanye, Jay Z and Lupe Fiasco, but I don't have it on my computer
    September 24 05:36 AM
  • Activista anti-MTV oh okay just thought that I would ask, because it would've been cool to look at your list for top metal bands and then look at what else you were listening to, but just the list is cool too.
    September 23 02:59 PM
  • Activista anti-MTV why aren't you scrobbling?
    September 23 02:35 PM
  • WashboardSuds hell yeah, This Year's Girl is probably their second best I think
    July 27 01:28 AM
  • WashboardSuds if you haven't heard their record Bossa Nova, I highly recommend you give it a try. that's their best album IMO
    July 23 05:54 PM
  • WashboardSuds nice dig
    July 20 08:16 PM
  • ShadowRemains who r u? REVEAL YOURSELF...although i already have a couple of ideas
