 | Havey Hi man I've got a theory and I think you'd be interested. I can imagine you've added a whole lot of bands/albums to the database. So if you want the number of band/album edits you've made to show up on your profile (always fun to see how much you've contributed!), just create a news article (for the statistics to show up you need at least 1 of each: soundoff, news article, band edit and album edit). I think that's how it works anyway, worked for me and I'd like to see if it turns out to be true!
 | WashboardSuds sweet thanks dude, I'll check these out right away. you're awesome man
 | WashboardSuds know of any unique female electronic/hip-hop albums, or japanese electro pop I might like?
 | undertakerpt anything you can recommend that is similar to mr bungle?
 | gosk8n thnx man! and i see you made a japanese electro list i'll check those out too
 | gosk8n oh and also where do you find all your japanese music from
 | gosk8n he there i see you like de de mouse i wanted to ask if you knew any more Japanese artist like him
 | TRMshadow Ever checked out FLOW? Pop-punk from Japan; they've done a couple anime openings which is what got me into them, but they're a pretty solid band (for the genre) in their own right.
 | TRMshadow It seems like I keep running into your name wherever I go, so let me just say this. You have absolutely phenomenal taste in music. I wish all the guys here at sputnik were like you; equal love for the mainstream as well as the unknown.
 | FictionalFlames Fair enough, I thought you didn't know about them. But if you're an optimist I recommend their new album.
 | FictionalFlames After seeing a few of your Japanese music lists. Personally, I'm surprised you haven't included Galneryus in any of your lists.
 | foxblood dude holy s*** you like tokyo girls style? they're probably my favorite girl group at the moment
 | SisterSalt Whoops, double-post. Still getting the hang of the site, and also not awake yet.
 | SisterSalt I've noticed your name around a lot of the Japanese band pages that I like (often as the only contributor) so I thought I'd come say hi! I went through a huge J-Rock phase a few years ago... a quick peek at my profile will tell you which bands stuck. ;)

 | Slothy I like Uchoten (and the work of Kera solo); and Tomo Furukawa also. Thanks for everything!
 | Mabbitt Blood Stain Child are pretty good too...but I don't really know TOO many bands
 | Mabbitt I really like 2side1BRAIN, and I know they're the typical choices, but Dir En Grey and X Japan too.
 | WashboardSuds yeah i did like Dos, its pretty chill stuff! and I've been craving new stuff so I'll look into the novembers right away. lol
 | WashboardSuds soulful japanese pop sounds like exactly my thing, thanks for the heads up. checking out immediately
 | Streams I thought so too. I hope their new material is better. Just thought you'd be into it because you're into avant garde stuff.
 | Streams You should check out the Rest album
 | ultradevilgod Ok dude...i never thought slapshock would be known to other countries. They're just an average rap metal group that got big when the NU-metal genre exploded.
 | ultradevilgod One of your best Nu-metal bands is slapshock? Never thought there name will show up in Sputnikmusic other than Urbandub. You pinoy dude?
 | MoninguMusume Haha. I haven't really heard any of Sharan Q's songs, though I really like Tsunku's voice.
 | MoninguMusume Thanks! I love your Tsunku profile pic. :) Morning Musume was...I believe the 2nd? female Japanese group that I had heard of. I ADORE Morning Musume....the girls are my life basically.
 | X3ni92 Haha thats pretty sweet :D Thanks for letting me know (:
 | X3ni92 Oh yes of course, Morning Musume is part of Hello Project.
 | X3ni92 Not into it either, i'm sorry ):
 | X3ni92 I haven't..they aren't really my style though.
 | X3ni92 Haha yeah great band d:
 | X3ni92 So i checked them out, not to shabby.
 | X3ni92 You should check 'em out. They're electropop with hints of Jazz.
 | X3ni92 Have you ever heard of Humming Urban Stereo o:
 | loppakslusk Thanks! Nice artist album contributions, most of the japanese stuff I rated was yours, hahah.
 | X3ni92 Oh so what can be suspected as troll ratings such as too many 1's or 5's for a certain band. Right, happened to me once.
 | X3ni92 Oh really now? That's odd...what do you mean by category though?
 | X3ni92 Woah, what happened to all of your ratings? lol
 | X3ni92 ****, you passed me in ratings D:
 | BSX I'll check them out
 | BSX I'd kill to them live, they're the only J-Rock band I follow
 | BSX L'Arc en Ciel!!! YES
 | NaegaSalang2NE1 Malice Mizer was my very first J-rock group ONLINE that is. Yeah now that you mention it Velvet Eden is sort of electronic.
 | NaegaSalang2NE1 Surprisingly I have. I'm not really fond of older Japanese rock (other than X Japan, Velvet Eden, Shazna, Baiser etc.) though they're pretty good.
 | X3ni92 I haven't watched anything from Masters of Horror
 | X3ni92 and you call yourself a Takashi fan. d:
 | X3ni92 They're fantastic. I suggest you check 'em out. Considering what I've seen, I agree haha.
 | X3ni92 Only movies I've seen from Takashii are Ichi the Killer and Audition. I'll probably check out 13 Assassins. Have you seen Confessions or Bedevilled?
 | X3ni92 Gotta start a new trend lol. Foreign movie avatars. Sono is such a fantastic director. Hes made my favorite Asian films. Suicide Club, Strange Circus and Love Exposure being a few.
 | X3ni92 Hey, to each his own. I like J-pop too, but I'm more into K-pop, lol. I'm a big foreign film junkie. Love Foreign films..in fact its basically all I watch.
 | X3ni92 Just out of curiosity, what turns you off from K-pop? Why yes, yes it is. Love that movie.
 | X3ni92 oh, haha alright. My mistake then? I think lol.
 | X3ni92 same, I just saw that you rated 2NE1 a 2, so I thought I'd make a stupid comment.
 | X3ni92 How about that autotune?
 | NaegaSalang2NE1 If you think about it, Tsunku got inspired by earlier pop idols to start Hello! Project. So it would be only natural to think of them when someone listens to them. :)
 | NaegaSalang2NE1 Just checked out Tomoe. MiniMoni is definitely what I thought of when I heard her. She is kind of a mixture of Nozomi and Ai Kago from MM. Denki Groove is kind of funny, but not my type.
 | NaegaSalang2NE1 Out of those I only listen to Globe and BeForU. Though I'm open to any song recommendations of the other 2.
 | TheAshes oooo some artists? sweet, I'll look into those. thanks man
 | TheAshes Yeah man, that stuff's awesome. You into the J-pop scene? I've been meaning to get into it more
 | Activista anti-MTV Nasir Jones - Ilmatic. I have listened to that one so many times. Any other good ones?
 | Activista anti-MTV Nice, I am from Minnesota, so I love Atmosphere. He has lots of concerts up this way. I like Del tha funkee homosapien, lately I have been into Kanye, Jay Z and Lupe Fiasco, but I don't have it on my computer
 | Activista anti-MTV oh okay just thought that I would ask, because it would've been cool to look at your list for top metal bands and then look at what else you were listening to, but just the list is cool too.
 | WashboardSuds hell yeah, This Year's Girl is probably their second best I think
 | WashboardSuds if you haven't heard their record Bossa Nova, I highly recommend you give it a try. that's their best album IMO
 | ShadowRemains who r u? REVEAL YOURSELF...although i already have a couple of ideas
