The album artwork is really encouraging too - it's absolutely beautiful. It's almost guaranteed to be my AOTY, even though there's alot of competition. CoL, The Ocean, Fall of Every Season, Encircling Sea, Thou, and Darkspace. If this year continues at this rate, I think it'll trump 2010

 | KjSwantko Sup bra! Just listened to your new track finally and my impression is this- the vibe and mood you're going for with it is very cool, with the haunting melodies and such. Sounds like something out of Resident Evil. With my personal tastes, I would've liked to see the song climax into something big and powerful towards the end. The changing drum patterns were cool as well. Overall neat stuff man, keep 'em comin!

| CaptainDooRight fer sher bra, k so heres the thing, your compositions are actually really good, if you were going for a trippy kinda feel then you def achieved it, its kinda dark and eerie too which i like. you may want to have a little reverb on your guitar/synths so they're not so upfront in the mix. the song is a keeper but i do feel it needs to be redone with better tones, otherwise this is like an electronic doom album which is cool too

Also, a keyboard can be a handy instrument for song writing, since the own I'm aiming for can sound like almost anything, so it's easy to create a tune and save it. I need to get all of my ideas out of my head, haha.

It's definitely depressing/destructive and I usually write emotional, depressing, deep lyrics. Yeah same, sometimes I'm just way too lazy do do anything, haha. I'm in a difficult situation with my life, too long for shoutbox to handle lol but once everything is finally sorted out, I want to be in a post-metal/sludge band, very ambient and atmospheric but I want to have my own distinct sound. I'm planning on learning how to play a keyboard which I don't really hear in a post band, so I can maybe add in another element, something really cool.

I was supposed to be the vocalist and write the lyrics but it never really happened. Everyone ****ed around during practice while I actually wanted to do something and what ended up happening was that I never really had a say in anything, from being harsh and clean to just clean singing and not playing anything I wanted.

| CrimsonLies Same, I've been into a lot of post-metal and sludge recently. And I really like The Ocean, though I'm enjoying the second of Precambrian more than the first. I love DT, and the albums you listed I hear are the best from them. They really helped me get into melodic death metal since they basically the most melodic. And sweet, I'll check out your digs. All my space music is taking me further away from there, haha.

| CrimsonLies Indeed they do, I can't believe I never listened to COL and The Ocean before and sweet, looking forward to it. I never knew sludge could be so good and Amia Venera Landscape is planning to release a new album this year, hell yeah! Wow 70gig, there's so much music I stil need to listen to like all of Dark Tranquility, haha. I love them.

| CrimsonLies I'm really like The Ocean at the moment, even though I still need to listen to it more. I'm also giving Cult Of The Moon a chance and I'm really digging it. I'm currently obsessing over White Arms Of Athena, thinking of being the first to 5 it, haha. There's so much music I still need to listen to.

| CrimsonLies Same, I never listened to a single sludge band, nor progressive metal, deathmetal, melodic deathmetal, post-rock/post-metal and well a whole more ton of genres. I used to listen to a lot of s***ty metalcore but I've actually been able to find some that's actually good. I still find bands from other sites but this relay helps me to show what's out there. Haha, but I think it's lame you can't take a rating down, then you could get rid of the average ratings and rate an album you actually like.

| CrimsonLies My music has changed significantly thanks to this site. I used to go on this site awhile ago without actually having an account, it just took me forever to decide to make one. But my music is constantly changing as well, there are so many bands I can find on here that I wouldn't anywhere else. I'm not obsessed with genres I thought I'd never like.And I can just steal some bands from your ratings, haha.
