 | Jom It's odd that the new accounts weren't linked, but you're all set, cheers.
 | Brostep yeah, i am. https://www.facebook.com/will.robinson.585112
 | Deviant. That's admin only stuff dude, sorry! Send Jom or Trey a shout and I'm sure they'll be happy to oblige
 | PotsyTater "jumped outta mezz too? hmm" kinda like when you poured your heart out to me and then id facebook shortly after and you assumed it was because of you and how youve barely said a word to me since even though that was entirely not the case? you should stop making conclusions you're bad at it man. pretty sure my comment count is a pretty big indicator of how much of a time waster this site is for me and so is mezz and i wont stop wasting my time on either of them any other way.
 | Necrotica Tagged for what? And I don't know bro, I've just been kinda reviewing whatever whenever lately, haha
 | Apollo Ahh well my apologies sir, context is hard to understand sometimes online. I bid you adieu and wish you a good day :)
 | Apollo Beef? Did I misunderstand the comment you made regarding me? Lumping me in with Insurrection? Seemed derogatory.
 | Havey you know it brother
 | Voivod thanks, really appreciate it.
 | jdennis31 network admin at an energy company. currently working here through a firm though and believe my contract ends at the end of the year, so almost time to start stressing :) sucks about getting laid off, something should come around though
 | americanohno It was just a joke. I know bout basketball and fantasy sports. My strategy is to draft only white players.
 | klap if you can find more than four people to check their teams
 | DaveyBoy Neither, as I have yet to get to her LP. Decided to give First Aid Kit a go first.
 | theacademy text me deets. ill show. sorry im still mia im half-assedly looking for a place and a job at the same time and still traveling around a bunch (will be in FL for a chunk of november)
 | Ponton haha thanks man. In truth i like it, though not as much as i may have a few years ago.
 | DaveyBoy You think. Im not exactly the biggest folk fan. Tallest Man seems the exception rather than the rule.
 | AliW1993 I was planning on doing so once I find some spare time today, should be up tomorrow. Still not entirely sure we're listening to the same record haha.
 | Cardboardbox one of the better movements in hip hop right now, finally justifies modern rap with out a negative connotation
 | jackalope11 Such a different vibe. A lot more people were there for the music and not just there to get high as hell. Better food, too. Coachella has the better stage setup, though. There's only one at Coachella, but there're two at Lolla and the set times don't vary too much with surrounding stages
 | jackalope11 Lol sorry to reply a week late but I'm from Redondo Beach. How 'bout you?
 | tarkus i spend a lot of time just sleeping or laying around but yeah its only a month even though my moms installing ****in adt so if i do anything bam the alarm goes off. i guess thats the bad part and like every time my social life is completely destroyed, hopefully most of the early football games are away because those are my favorite part of this time of year and school time in general
 | PeterKlaven How do you put so many albums in the recommended by reviewer section if you ain't staff?
 | MaskAtTheMasquerade WHAT! CANT GO!???!? Well at the price of free, i'm bound to end up there. I'm not too familiar with wild nothings but i dug that latest Grimes release. If i'm not mistaken, Amon Tobin is next month, you gonna see him again? I need to break that Tobin cherry
 | MetallicOpeth man from what I've seen in debriefs it's just so intense over there. Basically we send people to wherever there is a humanitarian crisis, notably middle east and africa. In terms of elections, they include south america, africa, and asia. pretty much all over the place really.
 | theacademy ill come visit soon dude... going out of the country for a spell so it will not be for a few weeks, but the time will come for my great pilgrimage to bushwick
 | Rikardur That's dandy, indeed. I was a lurker during the hiatus of my presence, definitely. It was time to return and start anew, for sure. So yeah, I've been trying to reinsert myself into this fine community even though I am not doing a quaint job at it, of course.Good day to you, yes.
 | Rikardur O' ya? In that in reference to me at some point in my existence on this mortal sphere?
 | MetallicOpeth hey man, yea I actually do, it's also a Canadian NGO called CANADEM (http://www.canadem.ca/home/) we actually have a section that does placements kind of similar to the ones provided by operationgroundswell, which are basically univ or college kids can fund their own program for a 6 month period and we try and connect them with a host organization/agency, it's cool stuff, fulfilling work as well
 | LiquidVelvet Can't think of any similar artists off the top of my head, but he has a lot in common with various chopped
 | theacademy hahhah i chuckled at that, will post later
 | Deviant. Hahaha, the lights they're just tooooo bright
 | kingsoby1 sup, rec'd you for contrib, sorry you didn't make it. just keep writing well new releases and you should get in soon enough
 | mindleviticus I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada. It's quite a nice place ^_^
 | mindleviticus Yeah I'm a brand new member from march ahaha. I joined here because barely anybody at school had the same music taste as I do and it was boring having little next to nobody to talk about it with.
 | mindleviticus What got me into hip hop music was Quasimoto and MF Doom
 | mindleviticus Yeah I haven't listened to much recently but I was in a huge hip hop phase at the end of grade 10. What do you have for me in store? =)
 | EyesWideShut yoo, it didnt see u in any of the NBA Finals threads. Bro my Heat took it this year and it looks like your Lakers are gonna try and dump Pau.
 | StrangerofSorts It's rather good, thanks man. As far as recs go, I put this up yesterday ( http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=531891
 | silentpotato oops wtf, the Loe You Gotta Lose, Marks and Angles, and Time For Us EPS are all great
 | TMobotron Word yeah well check out George FitzGerald's Child EP - kind of a slick house-ish listen, Mosca's Eva Mendes EP, Girl Unit's Club Rez, and if you're really jonesing for some electro check huoratron's album, or if you're looking for more minimal stuff check Claro Intelo's latest.Volor Flex'es My Story album from this year is streaming free and sounds totally like Burial (kind of a rip-off but also surprisingly great), so if you're really loving that you should give it a listen. Good luck man.
 | TMobotron Hey man, anything specific you're looking for? I'm really digging Untold's new EP, Mosca's Eva Mendes EP, Fantastic Mr. Fox's San'en EP, and Disclosure's The Face EP - I think all from this month, and I'm really falling in love with L-Vis 1990's Club Constructions which is just dirty and dancy as hell... There's been some more introspective LP releases this year but let me know what kind of stuff you're digging/looking for and I'll try to narrow it down.
 | Aids alternatively, i will go to coachella one day, hopefully....
 | Aids hey man. seeing as you love music festivals, and I go to Sasquatch every year, you should totally try to go one year, possibly 2013? I know you have limited time off and Sasquatch generally has weaker lineups, but it's worth considering because a. the best venue in the world, absolutely no contest b. I'll be there c. bungy will be there d. i'm trying to get Jash and his gf to come next year. anyway, consider it, it would be a ****ing sweet way to meet up.
 | Hyperion1001 i just started the reading Hyperion Cantos by dan simmons, its more sci fi but i've had a ton of people recommend it to me. i have scanners in right now and i think im gonna watch it soon, ill let you know how it is.
 | Hyperion1001 videodrome is sort of like a happy medium between dead ringers and the fly. it still has some of the weird effects and strange themes, but its less out there than the fly was. if you liked the viceral sexual themes and imagery in dead ringers you should enjoy videodrome. but the weirdness is what i like cronenberg for. i just watched the brood and i am amazed every time i see a new movie of his that he can come up with so many strange ideas.
 | theacademy saw the ads for them when i saw thrice... it was my first time ad best buy and the place is pretty huge for what i expected... really clean too... i think im gonna be out of town that weekend tho... also i dont really know the band, but ill look into em
 | mindleviticus I love your display picture. Lifeforms is probably one of my favorite albums
 | pianotuna i am unsure as to what you are referring to in the past, but i'll give it a listen. :)
 | mindleviticus Drift is good. I must say though I can hear a lot of post-dubstep/2 step garage influences here and I'm not really digging that
 | Shadow17 A couple of recs: DJ Sprinkles Midtown 120 Blues (Deep House), Fennesz (specifically Endless Summer and Venice), Shpongle (saw you listened to 1 album, these are great: Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland and Nothing Lasts), Stars Of The Lid (Tired Sounds and Decline), Tim Hecker (Ravedeath, Imaginary Country, Ultraviolet). I recommend just listening to a song or 2 per album. Want more recs? Feel free to ask. Also, I rate things highly quite easily, but check out any 5s
 | klap they have edc in ny now? last one i went to was 2008 when they had it at the colosseum...LA passed a law saying no raves there after that haha. edc's always loaded tho
 | mindleviticus Certainly, You should totally listen to Marc Leclair's album "Musique Pour 3 Femmes Enceintes" it's bloody brilliant. It's like ambient, glitch and drone with some minimal techno influences Marc Leclair is also known as Akufen and Akufen's album "My Way" is also really good, very microhouse based music. I hope you have a great music experience =)
 | Hyperion1001 wasnt it great? ive always liked jeremy irons but he was so good in that movie, plus its cronenberg who i actually think is better than kubrick or lynch. if you havent yet watch the fly and videodrome, both awesome as well.
 | theacademy hey man i didnt see your msg till like now... im way busy with finals crap for the immediate future, but i aint goin anywhere for the summer, so well definitely chill wiht vesper the bros soon
 | EyesWideShut world peace got the Thunder scared.. so maybe... i dont wanna speak to early, but im glad the Mavs are gonna get knocked first round.
 | Kellerdeck I usually go on the site every night, and get people I know to check it out too. I bring a fair bit of traffic here, I guess. *shrugs*
 | Kellerdeck and, after hours of messaging people and rallying them up, we got our ratings back up. Music is one of the few things that can bring me the joy of knowing people are there in life.
 | Kellerdeck When we want them to read a review. That's why the view counts were so high. The music is also quite popular in our small town local scene. Over time and with dedication we've built a small but supportive fanbase. What you saw tonight was what I like to call the peoples opinion. I posted a status on the bands facebook page telling them to make an account on this site and vote for us and their favorite music because naysayers decided they didn't like it
 | Kellerdeck Hey Aekuneff, thanks for asking! It's not a problem at all, really. I've been using sputnik since early 2011. I would've been in My first semester of grade 10 when I started, I'm in My second half of grade 12 now. If you're wondering about the influx of votes that the album Rest has gotten, it's because I have this outlook on life, if people are going to hit Me, I'll get them right back. Sputnik, being like a second home for my band, is where we post all of our material and send all the fans
 | luschlotz so, for some reason I only saw your 100 user list today. Thanks man! 100% agreed also. Let it continue
 | klap the rapture are mad big in indie circles andy stop embarrassing yourself :)

 | theacademy wait r u in cali or ny? no ny terrestrial stations play rock anymore...
 | cirq thanks, bro.. as long as i see snoop and dre im happy
 | luschlotz So whats up? im writing this because im starving for some really good Trip-Hop, and you seem to know a lot about it.... All I know are the 4 classics, Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky and DJ Shadow. I'll appreciate your help
 | cirq i am, i'll be there the 2nd weekend
 | balcaen do you know what an analogical argument is? i guess you were implying one without coming to the conclusion where you said you could probably beat me. IT'S WEAK!
 | balcaen hm, were they stoned? how often did they play? have you won against them before? your analogical argument is missing some respects, entities...
 | Deviant. It's not like it was added correctly the first time. There are so many things wrong with that artist page
 | Deviant. By here do you mean the sput db? http://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Darkside/31492/
 | klap i'm really glad that all my centers stepped up today....wait
 | theacademy yo dawg thats my pic that i use on dating websites cuz i look mad buff
 | silentpotato i have no idea i just found it like 5 minutes before i sent it to you
 | MassiveAttack In a way I think both are disappointing for the fact they kind of wander a bit and almost in a derivative way scale back her aspirations. In Quixotic I can appreciate the diversity with lumbering mood, but The Blue God takes risk in a far more focused production. They both feel out of place for the majority of the time; still I prefer Quixotic.
 | silentpotato uh have u ever heard dis; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06ZFzu5Ow6Q
 | klap also i shouldn't even be playing you. thought the first tiebreaker after winning percentage was overall fantasy pts scored in which case i was ahead of yeti...weak
 | klap my team is s***ting the bed this week. Also mike brown don't you know it's playoffs can't be benching bynum
 | theacademy the friday... think the thurs show is sold out... and if it isnt it's the same day as thrice farewell show
 | theacademy haha yea **** ticketmaster... altho i bought one on ticketmaster when they first announced... had to be sure i got a ticket
 | theacademy you said you had an older sis/some older sisses right?? http://www.musichallofwilliamsburg.com/event/105707 i guarantee ur older sisters from cali were reppin td. way back... we should hit this s*** meet some older sisters etc.
 | Vesper Say hello to Conrad for me from a fellow Asian Sputniker. I don't think he knows me, though, other than the time we argued over whether Nicki Minaj was a successful parody of hip-hop culture or not, lol.
 | Vesper I actually can't anymore, because my boyfriend's family decided to fly me out to Minnesota for a few days, lol. And, yeah, my art blog: http://svspiria.blogspot.com/
 | theacademy yea dude i always liked burial... well i only heard of him after untrue but since untrue basically always... mother****er sampled metal gear solid and ray j how could i not have that on vinyl
 | MassiveAttack It felt too warped in its production, whereas it was like that in Maxinquaye, vocally she was much more seductive and piercing. Here I can barely understand her, it is disappointing.
 | MassiveAttack Finally listened to Blue God, its not what I expected. For one, the production seems to be overbearing on her vocals, like its muddled and overly focused within the album. Her voice isn't quite as alluring with that in play; I've heard her debut was amazing, so I'll check that out.
 | Auschwitz oh, theyre good for listening to as well. great albums.
 | FromDaHood Remember when I gave you somewhat decently ample warning that my team would there?Actually, I feel kind of s***ty about that in retrospect. Must have been pretty weird.
 | silentpotato i agree life is ballin atm, i just dont want to jeopardize it over something i left behind u know? so its just kinda ****ed cuz im torn between weather its something i should just kinda leave alone or if im getting this energy because i should be doing something but also, what if i missed my chance now you know? im not a believer in coincidence, shes crossing my path for a reason, im just not sure what the reason is...
 | silentpotato i guess it would help give u a little bit of perspective into this if i told you that this girl was about 85% of the reason i moved away from calgary
 | silentpotato talk to her, cuz the girl she reminds me so much of wasn't exactly the most healthy person for me and is kind of someone ive kind of succeeded in making myself until now. and now that im seeing her its just kinda ****ed cuz it leaves me with a very raw and visceral feeling. and i don't want to ever be in the same place i was when i was with that girl.
 | silentpotato yea i prolly should, who knows if ill see her again tho, but it seems kinda bound to happen. like the first time i saw her was at this university art party and we just kinda caught each others eye, and then last night she was at this bar for a friend of mines show and she said hey and tried to talk to me but it was super loud and i was drunk so i kinda forgot to care in the moment lol. but yeah i guess i will if i see her again, that was all i was really wondering if it would be good or bad to
 | silentpotato figure out wat to make of it/do about it so i figure id ask somebody
 | silentpotato well i just mean ghost as like... someone who carries the exact same energy, and a profound sense of recognition like you just already know them... someone who on first glance, even if they don't look exactly the same, somehow they just ARE the same, and you can't get passed it that they aren't. as opposed to ghost as in like someone they used to be u know? i dnno man ive been experiencing this phenomena with a girl ive been randomly seeing around town and its tripping me out hard i cant
 | silentpotato i know uve had a share of intense relationships. i have a question, have u ever met someone that is... let's say the metaphorical ghost of someone you've been involved with before? someone you really cared about?
 | SowingSeason np, sorry you drew such a tough match in the first round
 | AggravatedYeti Don't seeeee it. Love it, that record, BoC, Slint, Godspeed!, Talk Talk and Explosions In The Sky were my go-to study music. Still are when I need to focus.
 | silentpotato i like Infected Mushroom. Vicious Delicious at least, albums rad. Just has so much more going on then most of that other psytrance bull crap ya kno?
 | BaselineOOO I still am, just not as much I used to, got a bit bored of getting the same reactions every time.
 | balcaen i've never drank for free on a whim, haha. you're looking at an ice queen over here.
 | silentpotato well it was made for a club on new years eve with girls dressed up like mayans and aliens so yea pretty much :p
 | silentpotato http://beatsantique.bandcamp.com/album/mayans-vs-aliens-nye-2012 listen to the whole first song, best new years 2012 present evur
 | balcaen who's josh again? sorry, too busy wallowing in my sad pool of glass ceiling. happens IRL too
 | SgtPepper I'm a Radiohead listener period. love their music.
 | Iai Longer than that, even: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=91 That's the forum that we used to post reviews on before Sputnik even existed as a site. My first review is from July 2004: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212928
 | Yotimi that's awesome - yeah I need to find time to do that; sput reunion would be sweet.
 | Recspecs I couldn't give two s***s about Facebook, go for it.
 | Xenophanes That's too bad, mang. But yeah I guess you're right, we do : [
 | balcaen LOL, is my aenima rating really at 2.5? how in the unholy **** did that happen
 | silentpotato **** ya dude song is suave as ****. forgot about that album actually, haven't listened in ages might have to check it out again
 | mcjewjew 28, I really just thought it would be cool to go back and look at how the originals did it, therefore, hopefully giving me better perspective on curent music.
 | Omaha Oh, cool! I'm 19 and live in Georgia, in the greater Atlanta area I suppose. In college, majoring in English :] that's one reason I've been focusing on music reviews when I can, because it's a great way to hone your skills.
 | Omaha Thanks so much, man! That means the world. And I would add you on Facebook if I had one. Where are you from? (And I have a new review up you can check out, if you'd like :D)
 | luschlotz so. . . . I just found a new shins song, and I though you probably want to hear it. . . .http://pitchfork.com/news/45377-watch-james-mercer-play-a-new-shins-song-its-only-life/
 | fsharptrit0ne sup man just bjork on the 25th for this month pretty much. got anything good coming up
 | PotsyTater shoot some enternet mails my way, my sorry banned ass would love to catch up. its funny how a lot of people don't know whose alt this is, seems pretty ****ing obvious but whatever its funner this way
 | Polymath I haven't sputniked in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. This is sometimes a good thing.
 | FromDaHood So the finalized visit is 1 PM on March 9th, but I can assume you don't want to take an official campus tour for a college you graduated from so IDK if you want to try chilling afterward or what, or if you're even in town then but yeah. Let me know.
 | devious Thank you beautiful stranger
 | climactic middle name. now my name sounds like a british king

 | theacademy ah but not there yet! ... maybe sat? im visiting a friend from weds to sat but maybe sat night
 | CelestialDust yummy lucky dube. I have daily show tickets for March but haven't decided if I'm going yet. I always get those when I see them posted on twitter just in case I have time in the future to go haha. Other than that nothing has come up.
 | FromDaHood You still at Cooper? I think I'm visiting in March with a friend and we might need a guide/friendly person to help out.
 | mothercountry 3.5 rating on 36 chambers, shame on you mr. okuneff--
 | Idnuf The point I was making was that everyone (or a significant margin of users) considers themselves above the majority of other users. I used myself as an example. I've said before I don't buy into most of that stuff people say because a lot of it comes from just being on the site for a while and that initial excitement wearing off. My post was under the assumption that the reader agrees that the users are getting worse, something I don't entirely agree with myself.
 | Idnuf The 'rants' were long specifically because I was taking the time to make myself clear. The complaint the staff had was that idiots came and left quick comments about rankings and genres. I stuck around and explained my reasoning with no malice after the first post. Your message to me just reinforces the idea that you're bitter. You have this notion that I'm some sour puss who lives to bring people down. I was SIGNIFICANTLY more constructive than you in that thread if we're gonna play that game.
 | Idnuf Not sure why you're so obsessed with being "constructive". Making reviews and lists are completely selfish exercises, idk maybe you have some delusion that what you're doing is important but it isn't. I've made lists before but they were stupid so I got rid of them, I'm not some recluse who just came out of hiding to **** with people. Unless I missed something, the staff member who I initially called egotistical and I came to an understanding.
 | Hospital an alt? no, perhaps I just like music that you don't? thanks for the welcome, though.
 | Hospital i've seen enter the void. was lurking and saw you ask silentpotato that - trippy movie, long, beautiful, painful to endure.
 | silentpotato yee i own it and i absolutely love it. hard movie to digest, let alone watch in its entirety in one sitting but its incredible
 | Yotimi No love for Chris Clark? I am disappoint.
 | SowingSeason Not upset just trying to point out how annoying it is. I'm plenty used to it by now lol
 | taxidermist s***, I wish he had a credit card due, lol. I want to go so ****ing bad.
 | fsharptrit0ne yea, show was incredible. I'm 20, damn, would've been a good night out. Yea, the tickets are pretty ridiculously expensive
 | fsharptrit0ne sick man, saw four tet open for radiohead at the roseland show in september. they ****ing killed it. i'm most likely going to bjork, still gotta get tickets though.
 | WashboardSuds I couldn't help but notice it was Andy's birthday today. Happy birthday, here's a birthday rec: Undermathic - Return to Childhood
 | jefflebowski so i spent the last week or so trying to think of a witty big lebowski-related reply to your post, but to be brutally honest, i failed
 | Chrisjon89 I just listened to 'Animals', which you recced me back in May. Better late than never is my only defense, but it's amazing. Thanks for the heads up man
 | ThirtySixChambers that's unfortunate. i've never had a whole bad trip but i've been severely mentally exhausted and mind-****ed on a couple come downs, it can definitely go wrong. what'd ya take?
 | ThirtySixChambers oh okay, just asking cause The Future Sound of London profile picture. you've just never tried it before? it's fun stuff
 | klap I saw them closing a stage at edc 2009. Pretty ****ing weird set but really good and a lot of fun. Trippy
 | OnlyAnchors Hey thanks for the compliment man. I was sort of thinking about reviewing Quasimoto's first album. I definately will do it now once I find the time.
 | Relinquished ahh u clever mother****er u got me haha just like I got you a while back
 | Relinquished yeah that dude isn't me, my last name has an "e" at the end
 | Relinquished nah I'm not from Saarland if that's what you're asking me
