  • johnnydeking29 Oh, it was an album of rerecordings? Which albums had the originals?
    November 20 07:48 PM
  • johnnydeking29 Hey dude, just discovered Kauan through their new album; could you explain what you found average about, and what you like about their past work?
    November 20 11:22 AM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot hey man, giving you a heads up that I posted that Grouper review since you asked
    October 28 11:15 AM
  • CaptainDooRight yeah man def enjoyed the music aspect quite a bit, I look forward to your future works and I feel privileged to be able to associate with you
    October 27 11:37 AM
  • CaptainDooRight def enjoying the ethereal shroud album but what's really holding me back in the drums, its not that they're programmed but it was the chosen compositions for them, they just feel out of place and subtracting from the music, which is really good. It's taking me a while to digest because of that. I'm trying though. I worked out to it a few days ago as well.
    October 23 02:12 PM
  • BigPleb cheers buddy :]
    October 21 10:12 AM
  • BigPleb Thanks a lot! Never been a huge BM advocate but need to give the genre a chance tbh.
    October 21 10:09 AM
  • ExplosiveOranges Yeah, I just came off an awful writer's block, so I do feel like it turned out a little rough around the edges. Rest assured, though, I aim to cut down on the amount of irrelevant content with my intros in my next review and so on.
    October 19 09:46 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Gotcha, thanks man. Yeah I could whittle things down a bit. I've got a review for the new Grouper album in the works, and I'll try and adjust it a bit based off what you said.
    October 19 07:48 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Hey man, just saw your comment on my Winterfylleth review. You were pretty right about the whole filler intro, and I'll be sure to avoid doing that in the future. Thanks for all the feedback.
    October 19 07:05 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot cheers. I guess if you're particularly bored in the next little while, maybe scope out a handful of my more recent revs and shout box me any shortcomings you might notice in my writing? Just general stuff, I don't need an in depth proofread or anything. Any help is appreciated man, and I'm always willing to improve. *No rush* whatsoever though
    October 19 05:31 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot hey man, I've seen to offer criticisms on a few reviews and was wondering if I could get a bit of input if you have a moment
    October 19 05:13 PM
  • CaptainDooRight so let me ask you, why is it you're keeping your identity confidential with ES? do you not want people to know its you? just curious because I have no problem honoring that. I was thinking of putting it on one of my recommended albums list
    October 17 02:22 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Loving the Ethereal Shroud album! I'm thinking somewhere between 3.5-4.
    October 17 12:13 PM
  • ComeToDaddy hey Noct, just wondering if you were going to review Sines? I'd love to put one together, but you're Sputnik's resident Jakob fan so you definitely get first review dibs. I'll just archive it until you've posted yours if so (:
    October 15 04:42 PM
  • CaptainDooRight still digesting it, and how about that new Jakob!
    October 15 10:08 AM
  • CaptainDooRight im sure you had to be in 'the zone' to get that quality out, im still absorbing it which is a good thing
    October 2 04:42 PM
  • CaptainDooRight very well done! im proud of you!
    October 2 03:41 PM
  • CaptainDooRight is Ethereal Shroud a one man effort
    October 2 11:06 AM
  • CaptainDooRight thanks Noctus, the bandcamp link should be fine for me. But I'll def consider contributing. Great work man!
    October 1 04:24 PM
  • CaptainDooRight ';]' random, well that's a new face I haven't seen before lol. Well great job and I think I have it figured out now for the most part ;]. Gonna check the rest of the tracks on bandcamp and def looking forward to new material. Keep going hard bro!
    October 1 09:46 AM
  • osmark86 I've heard Woman is the Earth and I dig it. very "organic" stuff with plenty of feels. what did you think of it?
    October 1 03:51 AM
  • osmark86 sounds awesome man, excited for the release! what is your black metal project called? I want to check it out. working a bit on a doomy/bm release myself, but knowing me it'll take a long ass time before I'm near completion. baby steps, baby steps.
    October 1 03:51 AM
  • CaptainDooRight I listened to the song. It's amazing! But, you said guess who it is. Is it you? Maybe I'm a little confused.
    October 1 01:29 AM
  • Gmork89 Dude, did you really hear the new Blut Aus Nord and rate it a 2.5??I have high hopes :(
    September 30 12:02 AM
  • osmark86 mate I see you dig the new Woman is the Earth. got any similar recs? how's music creation going btw? will we be seeing a new Of Solitude and Solemn any time soon? ^^
    September 29 07:36 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Nice keep me posted on any releases you do! Can't wait to hear them!
    September 28 10:15 PM
  • CaptainDooRight And hey do you have any new material in the works. Really like your stuff
    September 27 03:08 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Awesome! I really appreciate that specific feedback. Those are some very useful pointers and I'll definitely take them all to heart and work on those. Yes, composing effective transitions is super hard but I'm really trying my best. I'll keep focusing on that. Thanks again bro!!
    September 27 11:46 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Would be nice to get your feedback, new track nig: https://soundcloud.com/therealtrvth/orgasmic-progressing-forests
    September 26 07:20 PM
  • zaruyache im srry jo :-(
    September 25 11:42 PM
  • zaruyache A 2.5 really? :(
    September 25 08:26 PM
  • pedro70512 sounds good. this one will have to hold down the fort until tomorrow lol
    September 15 02:26 AM
  • Artuma no worries dude
    September 15 02:25 AM
  • pedro70512 may as well if you're up for it. I've put enough work into this thing that it's worth asking you for a second take :]
    September 15 02:24 AM
  • Artuma holy s*** this is great
    September 15 02:14 AM
  • pedro70512 it was a little fast so I slowed it down by 10% and lowered the pitch to get a darker tone. the emphasis on words like "mist" and "merely" was a little awkward too. if you'd like to do another take that would be fine...it's your voice, and real
    September 15 01:47 AM
  • pedro70512 https://taravanamusic.bandcamp.com/album/a-visible-chill-2015

  • pedro70512 that would be totally wicked. thank you! do you have an email I can send it to?
    September 14 10:14 PM
  • pedro70512 haha Noctus, that just made my day. if I send you something can you record yourself reading it?
    September 14 12:54 PM
  • Lakes. penis :]
    September 12 10:34 PM
  • PortalofPerfection I love your recent tracks list lol
    September 10 02:46 AM
  • Wizard Done, done, and done!!! Thank you my UK friend! : )
    September 9 08:45 PM
  • Wizard Please, please, please give me the link for the new Darkspace!
    September 8 09:50 PM
  • minty901 to be honest i don't even know, not being much of a fan of theirs at all. they did play forever lost which i like from AIV,AIB. and suicide by star. but thats the only album i know so all the other songs were new to me. echoes was probably the best. i think they played a new song or two. the lead guitarist/keyboardist was the nicest guy, he came down to the front while packing away and asked people what they enjoyed, and if they wanted any momentos.
    September 3 05:12 AM
  • minty901 just got back from arctangent festival. saw god is an astronaut and they were incredible. really rocked it. one of the best bands of the weekend honestly. thought you'd appreciate that.
    August 31 10:49 AM
  • osmark86 sweet! I use a UX1 but it's a bit of a bitch to get the tone to sound right and not buzzy enough. I'm sort of used to producing electronic stuff, but this is a whole new ballpark for me with guitars and distortion. I suppose that's how it is though, plug n play, waste the day away
    August 6 01:49 PM
  • osmark86 so I've never tried the whole bedroom metal shindig, but I'm sort of getting that creative spark to get and make a couple of songs. how do you record? do you use guitar impulses and that junz, or do you have any other tips? PS. listened to Of Solitude and Solemn again and it's solid stuff!
    August 6 10:35 AM
  • BMDrummer Why the Neurosis hatred? :[
    July 22 12:37 AM
  • OmairSh You don't actually have to believe in the rating :-D. Anyway what up?
    July 17 10:35 AM
  • OmairSh Okay okay you've had your fun, now increase your WS rating. The average of 3.9 hurts my eyes :-(
    July 17 12:20 AM

    July 9 11:31 AM
  • Arcade how do i go about accessing the contrib. facebook group?
    July 7 11:39 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Yuuuus my pos is ready
    June 12 03:32 PM
  • PortalofPerfection What Atari said. Also, who are these tools giving it 2s and 2.5s. Nothing average about this. I could even see as low as a 3 if this sorta folky stuff really isn't your thing but the execution on this is just too tight to be anything less than good. I'm pretty sure you felt the same way about the Gris album from last year
    June 12 02:33 PM
  • Atari you should review the new saor
    June 11 01:25 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Well it's probably the most simplistic track but it seems to come at the perfect time to give you a break from listening through so many different layers for so long . Plus it's catchy! ? so when's the review coming??? ?
    June 9 03:49 PM
  • PortalofPerfection I actually feel like each track is better than the one that proceeds it, the album just gets better and better all the way to the end
    June 8 06:29 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Pillars is soooo goooood ?
    June 8 06:26 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Favorite track?
    June 7 11:50 PM
  • PortalofPerfection It was Roots for 5 or 6 listens (of Aura) but I'm going on 10 and now it's neck and neck. I think Aura will overtake it, the way each song progresses just blows my mind
    June 7 10:56 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Okay so I have to ask...Roots or Aura?
    June 7 12:30 PM
  • OmairSh Also I know the lyrics have been cringeworthy on the last album as well but "Love so strong, it hurts"? Come on Danny jeez.
    June 4 11:09 PM
  • OmairSh The electronic elements aren't cool like on The storm before the calm, they're pretty generic and boring. They actually ruin the t/t and the other tracks. I can't stand programmed drums as opposed to real drums in a band setting. Anyway since we did expect them to play it safe I can't say I'm too disappointed, but I still feel it could have been better. Also Vinny does a near perfect impersonation of the Sigur Ros vocalist on the last song. Well there's my rant.
    June 4 10:47 PM
  • OmairSh Well I've heard the album around 5 times now. It's about a 3.5 right. The albums pretty safe, but as expected there are some great melodies. But at the end unfortunately I feel there's a little lack of passion that comes with Anathema albums (tough for me to say this). The production could have been a lot better. The guitar doesn't feature much but at least they could have used some interesting tones.
    June 4 10:44 PM
  • OmairSh Your liking of the latest anathema gives me hope
    June 2 01:06 AM
  • osmark86 you're most welcome
    May 28 08:15 AM
  • osmark86 check out Restless Oblivion - Sands of Time and Human Collapse - Darkness to Fall. seriously awesome 2014 doom releases mate.
    May 28 02:52 AM
  • Wizard Self-titled E.P., Selfless and Hymns are all worth checking out too.
    May 23 07:04 AM
  • Wizard Didn't know you like Godflesh? Dude, this is why I defend you and your opinion all the time!
    May 22 09:32 PM
  • Spag :) I would recommend Tall Poppy Syndrome and Coal from Leprous although you might not dig 'em as much as Bilateral. And I've been enjoying "Restless" and "Carry Me Home" from 40 Watt Sun heavily. Considering buying the whole album very soon since I love Warning now as it is, I still haven't heard "This Alone" or "Open My Eyes" but I know I have absolutely nothing to worry about there :)
    May 17 08:36 PM
  • Spag I LOVE YOU FOR LIKING OBSIDIAN GATE AND LEPROUS.
    May 17 03:02 PM
  • OmairSh You're talking about Leprous? The band is ****ing insane. Ridiculously talented musicians. I love how they actually embody the "progressive" tag and change things up on every album. Also if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKaBwbqEcCA
    May 15 06:55 PM
  • OmairSh I see you're listening to Leprous, the band is not from this planet.
    May 15 01:38 PM
  • OmairSh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33rXZ74znuw 4:25 So half the material was used from years back with electronic arrangements.
    May 15 12:00 PM
  • Makemebad35 Haha, while listening to a Lantlos song I saw someone ripping deafheaven. I was about to join the convo while reading. Then I realized you were apart of it lol
    May 12 07:58 PM
  • Makemebad35 I'll have to check out both! Heard new triptykon is good.
    May 12 07:47 PM
  • Makemebad35 Of course! Gotta find the best new music somehow.
    May 12 02:49 PM
  • emester bummer about the new Agalloch man. Guess you were right
    May 5 10:15 PM
  • OmairSh I haven't even listened to Marrow properly, so I'm not too surprised, but a 2.5 is pretty low. Anyway maybe I check it out. I'm hoping there's some good experimentation on the new Anathema, I love WS but I don't want a sequel.
    May 4 10:57 PM
  • OmairSh And I'm worried after your Agalloch rating :-/
    May 4 12:34 AM
  • OmairSh Unfortunately I think the production is the problem. It's not crisp, and feels dry. I don't like listening to songs before an album's release as I get tired of that song and normally skip it when the album's released, but I still do it. I never learn. I really like Lee's vocals here, they sound a bit different and refreshing.
    May 4 12:33 AM
  • OmairSh Lookie what I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nh5ShSSmG3c
    May 3 11:49 PM
  • Wizard Please do a review! I'm still looking forward to it. The song they released is awesome.
    April 26 08:04 AM
  • Wizard So tell me about the new Agalloch since I'm one of the few on this site that actually respects your thoughts/ opinions.
    April 25 07:26 AM
  • emester Wow didnt know a new Saor was coming out
    April 21 10:17 AM
  • Kusangii Yeah I can understand that. I have honestly never even given them a true chance. I probably should, since I enjoy atmospheric music. Their new track didn't impress me at all though.
    April 11 07:54 PM
  • Kusangii Just couldn't help but notice that you 5'd all of Agalloch albums. I'd love to be such a fanboy of any band that much :DD hah
    April 11 07:19 PM
  • Kusangii That fanboy
    April 11 05:37 PM
  • Wizard Thank you good sir!
    April 6 08:34 PM
  • Wizard Can u provide me with a link, i think my version is s***
    April 6 04:02 PM
  • Wizard New Triptykon is holy s***! I know you will like it.
    April 6 08:09 AM
  • Wizard Invite only huh? Nevermind, I don't like Torrent's anyways, good way to **** up your computer.
    March 28 09:17 PM
  • Wizard Can you give me a link please and thank you?
    March 28 09:16 PM
  • Wizard Were did you find the new Mayhem? I want to hear it!
    March 27 07:46 AM
  • minty901 thats awesome. my favourite of theirs is colors in stereo but its all good. i'd describe moonlit sailor as fun, bright and pretty instrumental music that doesn't have any kind of delusions of self-importance. whereas lights and motion, what with the more dramatic approach, does seem to harbor some self-importance. especially with the way that the music has been described in interviews etc.
    March 24 03:36 PM
  • Keyblade That new Vindensang dude, yessss
    February 18 12:11 AM
  • ShinobiDaisuke :D You might remember me as the guy who was very frustrated with getting basic item modding to work; adding chests and such. To this day, I even have that Moonsorrow song you gave me on my computer, despite moving between four of them since then. I do still have you on MSN, but I don't use it at all anymore. I always have AIM open when I'm on my computer, but I'll definitely add you on Skype.
    February 11 08:08 AM
  • BloodMusic Thanks very much man, that's cool of you!!
    February 1 05:26 AM
  • zaruyache Wait sorry, I think I mean Rotting Christ. Or maybe a little of both. I can't really tell. I've had a cold all week and my brain's been a little loopy lately. [-:
    February 1 12:03 AM
  • zaruyache ... I want to compare the new Behemoth to Teethed Glory and Injury. Am I a bad person?
    January 31 10:14 PM
  • Metalstyles No pressure on my end, I'm just trying to find alternatives haha (and I'm willing to try and put something together if need be), but if you're up to the task, great! I'll be in debt to you!
    January 31 09:17 PM
  • Metalstyles Hey man, would you be interested in reviewing that new Kauan album? Their label approached me, but I've got quite a bit on my plate atm and I'm not sure I'd be able to do the album justice. You're a great writer and I'm sure you could.
    January 31 11:25 AM
  • osmark86 fo sho man! which reminds me that I gotta check out your EP again.
    January 20 01:08 PM
  • osmark86 I see you dig Bölzer. that album rocks :D
    January 20 07:50 AM
  • Thanntos Check out my 2013 top 50 list?! :D
    January 17 06:15 PM
  • Wizard Hey buddy, can you send me a link for the new Woods of Desolation.
    January 17 08:10 AM
  • ShinobiDaisuke I'm not sure how likely you are to see this, but I've seen you comment around the site tons of times and finally decided to see if you really were the dude who I've had in my MSN contact list all these years from the Fable modding days. This really blows my mind.
    January 16 01:44 PM
  • Hyperion1001 yo i take back what i said about youre album, in all honesty it really isnt bad its just not my thing and i was just being a dick about it for really no reason as usual. no hard feelings. sorry.
    January 12 11:59 AM
  • CK That's good to know, I guess. It's snippet was really catchy. And yeah Between Times is easily the weak point of the album. Would you say the album from start to finish works better with or without the bonus track?
    January 9 09:37 PM
  • CK They're all pretty amazing! Do you happen to have the song Take Me In? Apparently it's only comes with the vinyl (not sure if a digital copy came with the order of the vinyl or you had to actually spin the record to hear it). I want to buy the vinyl but I think it was a limited press
    January 9 03:22 PM
  • CK I totally agree with you about The Inside Room. It definitely has a much more mature sound than Watching From A Distance. I don't know which one has better content, but regardless Carry Me Home is top game
    January 8 11:52 PM
  • Tyrael Why does your ungrateful ass always get promos :[
    January 7 08:50 AM
  • minty901 interesting. no disrespect cause i love you, but i look forward to most likely completely disagreeing with you once more ;)
    January 7 03:48 AM
  • minty901 you lucky son'bitch. or unlucky given your luke-warm opinion.
    January 6 05:39 PM
  • minty901 alcest, hasitleaked.com?
    January 6 02:19 PM
  • osmark86 Bohren, that's the spirit!
    December 24 06:26 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow In Vain - "Ænigma"
    December 20 01:23 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow Sweet! :D I figured. I still love "Memoria" ever since my friend showed it to me.
    November 17 11:10 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow Completely agree. I haven't even heard the other two "What Once Was..." installments. But I guess I have to now. That album is easily one of the worst black metal albums of the year. That and Fell Voices' new one.
    November 17 10:46 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow Including you, haha. I could understand why, though.
    November 17 10:03 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow That new Blut Aus Nord is truly awful. I even liked MORT more, and a lot of people hated that album.
    November 17 10:02 PM
  • sicktransitbro you won the 'best profile icon pic thing' awards, stop by my office anytime for the trophy
    November 5 05:13 PM
  • OmairSh DUDE WTF!!!!!!! I keep on orgasming and you can't even get hard.
    October 13 04:50 PM
  • OmairSh Dude why do you keep decreasing your Weather Systems rating? It hurts my eyes
    October 13 09:54 AM
  • Wizard **** me, you NEED to hear the new Castevet album. I know you love Obsidian Plains a lot and its everything you could ask for and more.
    October 10 02:13 PM
  • SadAndHolyGlow That Liturgy album really is irritating.
    September 27 12:41 AM
  • geasoftime I'm surprised you think Ceremonies is better than Give Me Beauty... it's their best since though IMO
    September 20 08:05 PM
  • PortalofPerfection Yeah man, immediately I liked it cause it's a one man project (I'm pretty sure) and he's ****ing Scottish, but the more I listen, the more impressed I am with the song structures and the musicianship and the way the folk elements are implemented. It really is a hidden gem. And your review is great :-D
    September 6 09:43 PM
  • PortalofPerfection omg Haveittety is amazing. Probably the most epic thing ever written. Noctus, thank you for putting me on Arsaidh (Saor), Roots is soooooooo goood! :D
    September 4 11:31 AM

    August 30 12:58 AM
  • Ignimbrite I'm starting to empathize with your perspective on the new Rosetta album... Damn.
    August 9 01:55 AM
  • mindleviticus Thanks dude! I will definitely listen to this when I'm near my computer
    August 4 07:16 PM
  • mindleviticus I saw you gave Moonsorrow's V a 5 as well as Verisakeet. I 5'd Verisakeet because it's amazing but I have not heard V. Before I get it, could you tell me your opinion on it please? :]
    August 4 05:55 PM
  • Wizard Never mind, I see you keep up with him. Look him up and go through all the other albums he's produce. He honestly has so much integrity when it comes to selecting bands he wants his name associated with.
    August 3 07:53 AM
  • Wizard So ya like Colin Marston now? I've been saying this for years that's he's one of the best things to happen to metal ever and he will never get recognized for it. Check out Castevet, one of his side projects
    August 3 07:52 AM
  • PunchforPunch Try to keep your head up :] [2] oh and i'm going to steal some of your 5s :]]]
    July 20 08:28 AM
  • Hawks No problem at all. I'm here if you ever need to talk.
    July 17 06:13 PM
  • Hawks I'm so sorry about your dad buddy. Try to keep your head up. :]
    July 16 08:17 PM
  • Poet MANOWAR MANOWAR LIVING ON THE ROAD!! =)
    July 15 12:45 PM
  • Wizard Thank you for seeing the light (or dark) with that Palms album. I'm not going to pretend it's good because it's Isis, Chino ****s the album up hard.
    June 28 07:50 AM
  • robertsona sick ill peep
    June 25 07:24 PM
  • robertsona that summoning album really that good?
    June 24 09:34 PM

    June 6 07:03 AM
  • xVision No problem, if you need anything, talk or whatever, hit me up.
    June 5 05:15 PM
  • xVision I read about your dad. I'm really sorry to hear that, my thoughts go to him and you.
    June 5 01:51 PM
  • Wizard My heart goes to you and your dad Noctus!
    June 5 08:47 AM
  • zaruyache Side note: I find it funny that you said that Deafheaven no longer sounds like "sugar-coated wittr," while their vocalist seems to sound more like Nathan Weaver on Sunbather :P
    May 23 07:40 PM
  • Wizard Dear lord, he probably built a prison in his house just to capture the vibe again. I can't help but rate it less than a 1. Wtf is Varg thinking these days?
    May 23 10:39 AM
  • Wizard Btw, is the new Burzum like his last album?
    May 22 05:31 PM
  • Wizard Punk and black metal go hand in hand more so than any other genre. Bm was born of punk/ traditional NWOBHM so I don't know how you don't hear the bm.
    May 22 05:31 PM
  • Wizard And I'm also kidding around with you about your Sput cred hahahahaha. I know you know your s***.
    May 22 11:06 AM
  • Wizard they're black metal in the utter sense of the word.
    May 22 11:05 AM
  • Wizard Fair enough assessment of your rating on Deafheaven. As for Vhol, they're rooted in the punk side of black metal. Go and listen to Forest or Darkthrones 'A Blaze in the Northern Sky' and tell me how similar that album is. I mean, sometimes I worry about your cred around here, Vhol is essentially the most realistic copycat of black metal through and through. And don't forget they're also rooted in traditional metal that had a profound influence on first wave bm. I could say at this point...
    May 22 11:05 AM
  • Wizard And bump that Vhol rating up, best thing to happen to bm all year.
    May 22 08:02 AM
  • Wizard I puzzled by your love for Sunbather yet you rated their debut a 1.5? ****, you're as hard to pin down hahahahaha. They both sound very similar.
    May 22 08:01 AM
  • zaruyache I see you liked Sunbather. We can be friends now!
    May 21 09:52 PM

    April 22 01:16 PM
  • johnnydeking29 Thanks, I gave it a listen and was seriously impressed; the atmosphere was really excellent and I like your songwriting a lot. The rasps were a little weird, but I'll definitely come back to it - keep it up :]
    April 22 12:12 PM
  • johnnydeking29 Hey man, I heard about your album (rather late) and was going to check - I put it in my favourites bar - but my browser died and I lost all my favourites; could you link me?

    April 10 09:59 PM
  • geasoftime Well, sputnik benefits from your forbearance. I am glad that things worked out. I hope you don't let stuff like this get you down, it's just part of the rapidly evolving social atmosphere that we're all caught up in.. humans weren't meant to communicate without speaking to or seeing each other. These miscommunications occur where ever you go on the internet, really. I guess that's what makes emoticons so crucial these days. I could have saved us a whole bunch of trouble just by typing :) - maybe
    April 8 11:19 AM
  • NocteDominum hasn't been leakd for long
    April 8 12:58 AM
  • zaruyache Honestly, I'm starting to think that you're just a dalek.
    April 7 11:43 PM
  • NocteDominum What'd you think of the new Fell Voices Noct?
    April 7 11:18 PM
  • geasoftime Honestly, my sarcasm gets me in trouble too often on the internet. I need to work on adulterating it, so things like this don't happen anymore. Anyways, I'm glad we talked about it and neither of us walked away with any misconceptions.
    April 7 10:13 PM
  • zaruyache I agree with your ratings for the new Leucosis, Ash Borer, and Altar of Plagues. This is weird. :|
    April 7 09:48 PM
  • You're right, of course. I didn't think about it when I typed it. I shouldn't have tried to qualify my shortcomings, in any case.
    April 7 01:15 PM
  • geasoftime .... If you don't want to accept the apology, I can accept you disliking me. It's too bad, because the confrontation actually bothered me all day yesterday, I was actually thinking about it throughout the day and hoping that it could be resolved peacefully. I genuinely respect your opinion and consider you one of the more realistic and informed metal fans on the site. But, there's only so much I can do in this situation. I can't offer you any more than I already have.
    April 7 07:32 AM
  • geasoftime ...So, I responded with what I considered to be a mildly offensive riposte. I expected you to brush it off, not take it to heart. Also, I responded to two of your points in my post, and I would have responded to the "that simply isn't true, that's not what they're doing with the song structures at all" by simply disagreeing with you. I have taken your criticism under advisement, and I plan on keeping it in mind when I write again. Anyways, I have apologized, and that's all that I can do...
    April 7 07:21 AM
  • geasoftime Well, I'm really not sorry for what I said. I meant it as a joke. If you read the post again, I wasn't being a "dick" until the final comment and I didn't think it was that offensive. Maybe it's a sensitive subject for you - I don't know. People on this website throw around insults much worse than that on a regular basis, and I'm not going to be crucified for such a minor thing. I admit that I was irritated that you lowered your score, it seemed like it was intended to be provocative...
    April 7 07:21 AM
  • geasoftime Just in case you don't go back to the review: I want to clarify that I was being facetious. I didn't mean for you to take that personally, and I'm sorry that you did.
    April 6 09:53 AM
  • geasoftime I'm not unappreciative of the criticism, but I really disagree with your perspective of the album. But, to each their own, I guess.

  • mindleviticus Ohh haha no problem man! MAN, I didn't know you were Aludra! Cheers! If you're interested I make ambient/drone music of my own. If you wanna check out my albums my name is Jake Hollis. Introspective is my ambient one and Our Courtesy is my techno one. My friends troll rated Introspective on sputnik when CaptainDooRight did a review of it, but it doesn't matter :P

  • FALLENSTARZERO I'm a producer/composer of dark ambient metal music and have about fourteen or fifteen albums currently but I'm in a constant state of creating something very unusual. • GiaNXGX Morton Feldman - Triadic Memories. Emotions are unexistent, for they're an illusion of our fragility; disappear, collapsing your self upon your self. What triad can there be in a memory, is it persistent? --- Get Aki Takihashi's rendition for the best, fastest performance; Sabine Liebner's 2 hours version is lovely (though).
    March 18 11:35 PM
  • GiaNXGX do you want me to rec you something very very depressing?
