 | ILJ damn kvelertak and torche? are they on the same tour? i'd like to catch that show. you missed out last night though, they played more from Act II than they did anything else. they opened with the first 5ish songs from it. they didn't sound particularly great though, and they had some technical issues. casey's amp went out early on and they had to improvise a few songs. not bad though. the opener was great too.

 | MichaelSnoxall I have no idea, but he's returned just to produce and lay vox on the new record and that's it. He's not the best vocalist ever and not super-unique or anything, but his vox will be a nice throwback, so it doesn't bother me that much. And yeah, I find it funny how he formed New Found Glory after Shai Hulud. It's not very fitting, especially when New Found Glory are pretty mediocre.

I hear he only came back to do vox for this record, then they're finding someone else to do vocals for the tour, so that kinda sucks, but I'm very much looking forward to what they've come up with on the new album though. The production sounds a bit iffy to me, but I don't think that will really affect the overall quality of the album.

| MichaelSnoxall Even Australians who have lived here all their lives are grossed out by the idea of eating kangaroo, but it's honestly delicious and a wonderful alternative to beef (less fatty and has a far lesser impact on the planet). But yeah, the new Shai Hulud song ruled, but I don't think it's up to the calibre of anything on That Within Blood Ill-Tempered. Will probably be better than Misanthropy Pure, but I don't want to get my expectations too high.

| ThunderNeutral21 its basically a remix album where the remixes really **** around with the songs, there's some entirely new stuff I'm pretty sure also. That song is really sweet yeah, the dynamics are nuts. Whenever it shifts from a beautiful string section to the colder, electronic sections it's done in the blink of an eye. that song is incredibly engaging and easily one of the 5 best songs hes ever done imo

I was essentially the people's champ as a user, not to sound conceited but people praised everything I did. contributor was slightly lesser but still good, but once you're staff you pretty much can't win unless you exclusively review metal. I get along with the userbase better now, though. After a year I think the novelty of heckling my new staff position wore off. To be honest it all comes and goes, I have no complaints right now.

| ILJ They were pretty damn awesome. I was a little let down by the imagery, I thought It'd be cooler than it was, but overall they were great. I wasn't real big on them playing that 44 minute new song though, that was a bit ridiculous. But they played Sleep and East Hastings and those were awesome. And they opened with Mladic which was perfect.

 | minty901 also i recently wiped all my ratings and started again, as i think i realised i was being way too generous. if i enjoyed something quite a lot i straight up gave it a 4.5. now i'm trying to be a bit more conservative, whereby 3.5 actually means "great", and 3.0 is still an album i very much enjoy listening to on occasions. i need to go through my itunes and rate all my albums soon.

| ILJ Yeah at that price, I may have to pass on Fiona as well. Just too much stuff coming up. What records did you get? Well, The Overseer was decent. Underoath knock-off, but decent nonetheless. The Color Morale was all right, a bit of a let down for me. OMAM blew. ABR killed it as usual. The drum solo was awesome. Both Greiner and the bassist participated, and it was pretty intense.

| TMobotron I think you can attribute the soundoffs and the most vocal critics that hate on BSN to the fact that circa fanboys literally view Anthony as a god. Juturna and OLG were the lives of these people but BSN appealed to way more people and they all liked it just as much. Of course it's always the fanboys that hop on the ratings and drop their 5s on the day the s***ty transcode leaks. I like juturna as much as BSN BUT a few more listens and violent waves is really starting to reveal itself to me. IDK

I think it will grow on me, but it just has that tired lazy feel of OLG which can work here and there but the album as a whole drags pretty bad. I don't get why it seems like they completely forgot everything they did on BSN. Just kinda weird to me.

| ILJ They're definitely a bit out there, but in a good way. Soundtracks for the Blind is really awesome too. The only problem I have is that it's difficult to find time to listen to entire albums (which, in my opinion, is the best way to listen to them) because a lot of them are so long.

 | evilford Nice dude...yeah it's been years since I played any of them but I distinctly know that Big Boss face. MGS2 was ok but kind of goofy in the story, but MGS3 was incredibly badass.
