 | Progmaster85 actually, thats a good one but I prefer their Symbolic album over a lot of their other stuff but good choice actually. Maybe Im just weird but my faves were always Crystal Mountain, Without Judgement and Flesh and the Power it Holds

| Progmaster85 um I don't tell people they listen to bad music. And Trivium is only hated because they sound too much like Metallica in the crusade, which they do, but their other stuff is great. By the way, just out of curiosity what's your favorite Death song.

| Progmaster85 uhh dude most of the solos on the new album are brodericks you idiot... Death Magnetic is better than Endgame also. If you are going to tell me that the Judas Kill solo is bad than you are retarded. yeah i know it's a tad long for a metallica solo and sort of repetitive but it shows that he still got it. By the way Wake Up Dead isnt really that great a song, Peace sells and GOOD MOURNING BLACK FRIDAY (beast song) are the best on the album by far. Wake up Dead is prolly like 5th or 6th.

| Progmaster85 nah wrong again, actually kirk hammet wrote most of the riffs from master of puppets up until now, and also wrote most of the solos. The band would all write lyrics for the songs but Hetfield's lyrics were used most of the time. Hammet wrote many of the guitar parts, and wrote many of the solos, and, plays all but 3 (as far as I know) metallica solos live. I like Megadeth too but Metallica is more versatile.

| Progmaster85 Oh and one last thing before I prove you TOO wrong, yeah Kirk used a lot of pentatonics, but he also used harmonics, strange rhythms with the whammy bar and he also used a lot of strange scale ascensions like that one section of the Shortest Straw solo. This band didn't sell over 100 million albums because they suck dude.

| Progmaster85 Also, Rust in Peace and Peace Sells were excellent, while So Far So Good was terrible (except for Into the Lungs and My Darkest Hour), Countdown to Extinction was pretty good. Killing is my Business isn't the thrash gold that everyone thinks it is either. In fact, when Mustaine's best work was Rust in Peace and Kill Em All, Kill Em All, is a metallica album that he wrote most of when he was with them. He hasn't been nearly as good since he left. Their not bad, but not as good as Metallica.

| Progmaster85 No he didn't take Mustaine's style moron he's way different and even though Mustaine is better skillwise, Hammet writes better riffs. In fact, Enter Sandman is one of the worst songs on the Black Album. The riffs in One, Battery, Blackened, All Nightmare Long and Orion (those are just a few examples) destroy the riffs Mustaine has written. Also, yeah, I know Metallica had those 3 bad albums in the middle when they wanted to become more popular but Megadeth has 6 bad albums.

| Progmaster85 While agree that Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman and Chris Broderick can shred circles around Hammet, Hammet was more innovative and wrote higher quality riffs and solos. While he's not better skill-wise than any of the guitarists you mentioned, he wrote better music and was a hell of a lot more innovative. Just because metallica is more popular doesn't mean they are not as good. P.S., Mustaine is an awful singer while Hetfield rapes him vocally. Sorry. Metallica is better

| Progmaster85 holy wars is a great song, one of my faves. Here are 3 Metallica songs that are better in every single way. Welcome Home, Fade to Black, ...And Justice for all. All musically better. Metallica is superior to Megadeth.

| Progmaster85 ok. but Dream Theater is not overrated, not many people know their name, so who would overrate them? They deserve to be way more popular then they are, however Tool deserves to be less popular because they are not good. Don't know why I'm saying this but I'm just tired of people saying how great Tool is.
