They were desperate for people to ghost promote and apparently Eli/Sobhi just threw my name out and they all went with it cause I had recently submitted two decent reviews for new releases. Pinches out reviews is dumb though, I only write when i feel compelled to, like when I actually have something to say about the album.

| rasputin no worries. there was a third part to that comment that didn't go through - That's all off the top of my head, based on the stuff I still listen to. I went though a lot of doom bands back in the day but they're the only ones that have persisted. There are other decent funeral doom releases being put out every now and then, but for the most part they are generic and boring. Ea are decent if you want something a little new and, for want of a better word, 'hip'. Has post-rocky bits and s***.

| rasputin Anythng and everything by Mournful Congregation, particularly their two full lengths and the Dawning of Mournful Hymns comp. Ras Algethi's Onericon is very obscure and underrated. Shape of Despair are okay. Stabat Mater's self titled is one of the only more recent funeral doom releases worth bothering with (it's fantastic). And then absolutely everything by Worship, including tracks from splits. They have a new LP coming this year too.

| rasputin a very low percentage. Most Esoteric's discog is good, I am partial to the maniacal vale. Anything and everything by Skepticism. Thergothon's demo and full length, though outdated, are pivotal. Asunder's A Clarion Call is good, so is the their track on the Graves at Sea split (GaS are not funeral doom however). Consummatum Est's Funeral Procession is a good album with a female vocalist. There are others around but none with the raw feel of that one.

There are a handful of people on this site that only say negative things for no reason and just post to **** around. I try to keep a healthy ratio of the two, not constantly be completely off topic and purposefully annoying.
