  • Sowing I'm just finishing up my 2nd spin and it's excellent. Feels like the kind of album that will continue to unravel in marvelous ways for weeks. Atari already did a bang up job on the review but as for me this is sitting at a 4 minimum right off the bat.

  • Sowing very nice, love All Get Out so will check the rec. thx! Also, if you haven't already, check out the new Republic of Wolves tracks that have been released thus far. Their new album, shrine, drops 3/27 and I think it's the best they've ever done.

  • Sowing Thanks for the rec! I'll check them out and either review it or at least let you know what I think :-)

  • Sowing Hmm was gonna rec the antlers but I see you have heard them. Astronauts' Hollow Ponds is kinda like acoustic Brand New and super unknown if you want a deep dig. Damien Rice if you like the whole Irish troubadour thing. Milk Carton Kids' Prologue is really good with a slightly rural/folk twist. Papercranes' Let's Make Babies if you want something on the darker and weirder side. Nick Drake's Pink Moon is a classic, not sure how sad tho. Same with Simon and Garfunkel.

  • Sowing oh and Sufjan Stevens (Carrie and Lowell) if you just want something great but not necessarily similar to SM or TDAG. it's one of my top 10 albums ever, just depressing as hell acoustic songwriting. Basically if you feel like our tastes overlap I'd recommend anything I gave a 4.5 or higher, unless it's some pop-punk guilty pleasure or Taylor Swift.

  • Sowing Thanks man, always nice to hear appreciation. Rec-wise, you can always just check out my ratings - but here are some I think you'd like, especially based on the Simple Math and TDAG praise (not in any order): The Dear Hunter (Color Spectrum and/or Act IV) , The Republic of Wolves AND Tigers on Trains (same musicians - check Grandfather, His Old Branches, and Cartographer), Anberlin (Cities), All Get Out (Nobody Likes a Quitter...basically sounds like Andy Hull)
