  • Cygnatti it's not that bad ofc, but it's not representative of what actually listen to so **** it !!
    December 13 06:00 PM
  • Cygnatti agreed prog metal is da worst. bad enough that prog rock tries to sneak it's way in my own pie chart. x_x

  • ExplosiveOranges Snide wasn't a bad guy, but he was really bad at dealing with users that he didn't get along with.
    December 12 10:21 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges rag the rest of the people out of the community thread like sixdegrees (cool guy though) to help derail the topic, it happened with the BVB thread, and it's starting to happen with these threads as well. You know exactly what you're doing and you're using a guise to get around it. Stay on topic or gtfo, you made your one post about the 1 review per day, now quit whipping your iinternet dick around and go back to the community thread if you want to s***post.
    December 12 10:20 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges plex in action, you think the world revolves around you, your tastes and your thoughts. The world doesn't ****ing work like that. If someone offs themselves because of you acting like a pussbucket on the internet I hope you feel every shred of guilt about it. Although you probably won't since you're a self-absorbed narcissistic ass****. **** you, get the **** out of my thread. No. You literally come in every thread of mine just to throw it off topic and spout your Sputnik meme bulls*** and you d
    December 12 10:19 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges God ****ing dammit Futures you are literally one of the most ignorant ****ing people I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with on the internet. People under duress like that can't just "get over it." You have NO ****ing clue about anything that goes on inside someone's head; you're just up there on your ****ing high horse thinking that because you're able to handle negative comments that everyone else in the world would be able to. You're literally a textbook version of a superiority com

  • ExplosiveOranges Lol, Aftertheascension is probs my favorite user.
    November 19 09:40 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Tbqh I used to always get their name mixed up with Arcade Fire, but it's pretty obvious that one of those two is much better than the other.
    November 19 08:46 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Nah, I don't give a s*** about them either. Their rabid fanbase doesn't help matters.

    November 17 11:45 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot honestly, I think his earlier stuff is cool but you could scope my review of his latest if you're curious (the input would be welcomed too). his stuff is kinda polarizing though so I'll make no guarantees
    November 17 04:54 PM
  • Frippertronics reverse that since the latter came first, and is his heaviest. the former is much more lighter.

    November 16 08:28 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Tell me how you like One Size Fits All and Chocolate and Cheese when you listen to them.
    November 16 08:21 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Zappa has a lot of good starting points. One Size Fits all combines humor with prog and it's one of my favorites so sure!
    November 16 07:45 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Check One Size Fits All.
    November 16 07:41 PM

    November 11 05:07 AM
  • BMDrummer yeah tweez is a hard grower, i love the guitar work on that record plus the vox are really cool sometimes. kinda similar to mine actually, but spiderland will always beat tweez as a whole
    November 10 08:08 PM
  • BMDrummer i watched it a while back and it was hilarious, especially when they talk about tweez. plus david yow and ian mackaye are in it so insta-pos
    November 10 08:05 PM
  • BMDrummer i started a soulseek download about 2 hours ago and it'll be done in a half hour lol, so ****ing slow. gotta buy a copy since the deluxe edition is amazing anyway

    November 9 10:08 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah i got fed up that someone called my band s*** to troll me, so i took it upon myself to review it by writing the most objective review possible. worst day on sput for me

  • Wadlez Oh yea, you wanted some shoegaze and ambient/electronic?
    November 9 09:32 PM
  • BMDrummer hey man any status on a rev?
    November 9 09:13 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah man i'm really into the punk thing obviously, so it's really the natural thing to do. just let me know when you wanna put it up and if you have a specific paypal you need to setup on it
    November 8 10:50 PM
  • BMDrummer oh fuk man was just gonna ask that, when you're done wanna put it on the bandcamp i have going? been wanting to pick up where hard jammers left off in terms of sput musicians
    November 8 10:46 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah when i did mixing i honestly had no idea what i wanted it to sound like, so i promptly jammed a s***load of fugazi, unwound, and jehu to see what they did since that's the sort of sound i had. plus i had experience with mixing since i did the first blue mist album, which was way too quiet because i was afraid of it contributing to the loudness war lol
    November 8 10:43 PM
  • BMDrummer it was all separated by instrument, which worried me at first because i thought it might lack some intensity in the same way the foo fighters' debut sometimes does, but it actually worked quite well
    November 8 10:38 PM
  • BMDrummer aww thx bro that means a lot, was kinda insecure about this tbh before i got opinions and whatnot. expect more to come, already got some new ideas
    November 8 10:24 PM

    November 7 11:28 PM
  • ArsMoriendi I'm glad you like "Heroes" though.
    November 5 10:15 PM
  • ArsMoriendi His first two are a little iffy though, but if you're going to be a huge fan of him I say go for them as well.
    November 5 09:37 PM
  • Frippertronics he explained it in the thread, some stupid ass s*** about peacemaker and all that
    November 5 09:34 PM
  • Frippertronics tbh you should discog bowie right now
    November 5 09:30 PM
  • Frippertronics ah, it was an ars quote
    November 5 09:29 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Basically everything from The Man Who Sold the World up to "Heroes" is worth checking out. The stuff after "Heroes" is probably great too, I just haven't gotten up to it yet.
    November 5 09:28 PM
  • Frippertronics m8= mate

    November 4 01:15 PM
  • YakNips yeah i hear a lot of sput ppl say that which is understandable but i just don't think that i'll feel the same way
    November 3 08:21 PM
  • YakNips yeah i know their later stuff is more "out there" which should be cool to hear but idk i really like the style of ambient techno they have in their early stuff so i'm interested to see what i think of that compared to what i think of their later stuff
    November 3 08:12 PM
  • YakNips autechre are amaze, ive known about/dug tri repetae and amber for a while but lately ive been getting really into em and wanna jam all their stuff

  • BallsToTheWall down to plug?
    October 26 10:01 PM
  • Wadlez Album's so damn good.
    October 25 04:50 AM
  • BMDrummer my dad records his own stuff all the time (since i can remember), so he built a studio in our basement once i picked up drums. did the drums first, then bass, guitar, and vox finally. played along to the original for all of it
    October 20 09:51 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah thx man, i'm kinda curious about what people think my singing is like so i put that up. i did all of it tho, drums, bass, guitar, and vox. took a little while, but i like the end result. gonna remix it since the guitar is a bit too high, but i like where the vox are
    October 20 09:15 PM
  • BMDrummer made this, let me know if the vox blow https://mersh.bandcamp.com/track/antifreeze
    October 20 08:51 PM

  • BMDrummer wipers rule
    October 19 11:14 AM

    October 18 09:52 PM
  • emester I somehow stumble upon it via spotify nearly a year ago after jamming Ghost BC a bit lol
    October 18 09:49 PM
  • emester Really nice rating of Sacrifice. Discovered that album sometime last year around this time
    October 18 09:41 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges I hold a personal connection with the band.

    October 16 08:59 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Cool man glad you liked
    October 14 06:47 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Yes, it's Claudette aka Lisa's mother.
    October 13 11:49 AM
  • Keyblade Sweet dude :] . HARK is the closest to Peace Kehd so you'll prolly dig that one. 2012 and Lone Sharks are their better tho, but have a different vibe
    October 13 01:23 AM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot for their newest one yeah, but it's not as good as some of their older s***
    October 12 09:54 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot Willpower, for sure. you can check my latest rev if you're curious and it more or less gives the gist of their sound

    October 5 10:04 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Ah. Well, if you want a .gif version of it, I might be able to make one for you.
    October 5 01:10 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Yo dude, what's your avi from?
    October 5 12:46 PM
  • manosg It's pretty great, a high 3.5 for me. I liked the fact that they had strong blues influences in a few of the tracks. I had actually heard a couple of the songs before; Thing in E is definitely a track I've heard a lot of times. Since we're on the subject of psych rock, you might want to check Captain Beyond if you haven't already. I think you'll enjoy it.
    October 4 12:49 PM
  • demigod! chilln. workin hard(ly). tryin to figure out my next record shop buy snce i just got paid. Sup wit chu?

    October 1 07:33 PM
  • Futures check more oasis tbh
    October 1 07:28 PM
  • spookynewghostfriend actually try this maybe http://peakrecords.bandcamp.com/album/organika
    October 1 06:08 PM
  • spookynewghostfriend honestly dont know a ton of ambient, if you want some psychedelic downtempo like the title track i would reccommend radioactive sandwich- a world of delights, not as spacey and a bit more upbeat but really very good. for "worldly" samples try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c9bz31sZSg and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sydKCJGw-oU
    October 1 06:00 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah my dad only had a few records left so most of that stuff is stuff i got myself
    October 1 05:52 PM

    September 30 09:47 PM
  • TalonsOfFire I've been meaning to check that, but I heard it gets worse toward the end
    September 30 08:30 PM
  • TalonsOfFire It's probably the only show that comes close to being as good as BB in terms of amazing writing
    September 30 07:45 PM
  • TalonsOfFire Yup, probably the only perfect show I've ever seen besides maybe true detective
    September 30 07:35 PM
  • YakNips yeah brah it's super ridiculous and fun, i'll be sure to link you once it's out :]]
    September 29 07:52 PM
  • YakNips lmao it's in the intro track and its got vocaroo things i DLed of you, choccy, snake, and supercoolguy. it's you saying "what the hell are you tryin to tell me yak"
    September 29 07:07 PM
  • YakNips that's awesome brothaaaa, i'm glad you're feelin them. also i sample you in the intro for lakes and my mixtape tbh
    September 29 06:59 PM
  • YakNips yeah those tracks are their worst but still good, and yeah they're rlly unique and don't sound too much like any other screamo band i can think of, but tbh i think they're pretty damn intense
    September 29 06:46 PM
  • YakNips omg jahgreed brah they are life changing
    September 29 06:37 PM
  • BMDrummer you couldn't have done worse than me, i reviewed my own album remember that

  • ExplosiveOranges Sadly, I have not. I'll add it to my list of s*** to listen to. Also, I approve of those Sabbath ratings (minus the 4 for the s/t)

  • ExplosiveOranges YHO is right, although Seventh Son is also up there for me.
    September 25 09:36 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Even their worst s*** is still better than some of the low points of Priest or Sabbath. But yeah, the first seven albums are all amazing. No band I can think of (minus maybe Neurosis, The Beatles, or Pink Floyd) has had that good of a run.

  • ExplosiveOranges Nah man, torrenting ain't my thing. Not that I have too much of a problem with other people doing it, but I prefer to have an official stream. But yeah, the Selected Ambient Works albums are all fantastic, and his other albums also rule.

  • ExplosiveOranges Eh, fair enough. You jam the new Aphex Twin?
    September 21 09:25 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Idk, Whitey and Sgt. Pepper are some of my favorite albums from them. I think it's maybe the contrast between the focused, calm sound of Sgt. Pepper and the chaotic, weird noise that is The White Album.
    September 21 09:03 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges I did a five-for-five with them.
    September 21 08:54 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Dem Beatles ratings, man.
    September 21 08:49 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah man check either zen arcade or new day rising next. both are basically masterpieces, but zen is an hour long concept album while new day rising is more of a traditional record, zen is one of my hardest 5s tho. btw "it's not funny anymore" is legit one of the best songs ever
    September 21 08:42 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah man they don't get enough love on this site tbh, but they put out a bunch of awesome stuff
    September 21 08:36 PM
  • BMDrummer check husker du's metal circus, it's an EP but it's about 20 minutes long and it's one of the best ever made
    September 21 08:33 PM
  • BMDrummer yeah huevos is great, but the stuff after that that i've heard so far is pretty boring. meat puppets ii is one of my all time favs atm, but up on the sun is right next to it in terms of greatness
    September 21 08:29 PM
  • BMDrummer meat puppets yes
    September 21 08:18 PM

    September 20 02:31 PM
