Zapp

Zapp was a funk/R&B band from Hamilton, Ohio. Formed in 1977, they were fronted by Roger Troutman, whose unique usage ofthe talkbox helped propel Zapp to stardom. In 1999, Zapp suddenly disbanded after the abrupt murder-suicide of RogerTroutman and brother Larry Troutman. In 2001, however, the remaining Troutman brothers revived Zapp, and the group went onto tour throughout that year. Zapp also released "Zapp VI: Back by Popular Demand", which was their first original album releasesince 1989's "Zapp Vibe". Zapp then toured for a few more years, until disappearing once more by 2004. In 2007, the groupreturned once more, and have been touring quite regularly since. They are also stated to be in the process of recording newmaterial as well.
