Siam Shade were a highly popular Japanese visual kei rock band. Originally formed in 1991 under the alias of Ataru, the group changed its alias
toSiamShade by 1993. It would take the group until 1997 to truly hit it big, thanks to the success of their 1997 single, "1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou",
whichwasused as a closing theme to the popular anime series, Rurouni Kenshin. The humongous popularity of the single helped solidify Siam Shade
asbeing oneof the most well known bands from the 1990's visual kei boom. Unfortunately, by late 2000, sales for the group began to slip, and
SiamShadeeventually disbanded in 2002. However, Siam Shade are known to have reunion shows once every few years, usually to huge fanfare.
