Defenestration were a nu metal band from the UK that first formed in 1998. Their sound was originally similar to other popular nu metal bands at the
time, such as Kittie and Sugarcoma, although they later embraced a more alternative metal sound by the time they released their second album, "Ray
Zero", in 2003. They were also reportedly the first metal band to embark on a university-exclusive tour, which they did in 2001. Unfortunately,
Defenestration split shortly after the release of their third album, 2004's "For Us It Ends When We Drown".
