Cheshire Cat was the first full length album from Blink 182. For many it's the best Blink album and was Blink in their prime before they 'sold out' however I will leave you to form an opinion, lets get to the music.

Carousel - Right up to TOYPAJ Blink 182 has opened their albums with fantastic songs and on the first album it was no different. Though Carousel is slow to kick in (The intro is roughly 50 seconds) it's one of the best songs on the album. Lyrically it's something any teen can relate to and though Toms voice is skethchy in the music it's a song you can't help but like.

M&Ms - This was the only song released as a single off Cheshire Cat. It opens with a guitar solo before Mark kicks in the verse. Alot of the songs on this record you can easily relate to as a teen and here you can connect with the lyrics really easily. Blink still manage to keep their immaturity on this song as ever 'My love life was getting so bland, there's only so many ways I can make love with my hand' Mark sings in a verse.

Fentoozler - This song is a pretty good song. It's nothing that stands out on the album but it's still a cool song and the lyrics as a teen you can still connect to.

Touchdown Boy - A song about the guy that gets all the girls. One of the songs I like the most on the album. Toms voice is a bit scratchy on this track but it's still a catchy song and has a good chorus where Mark harmonises with Tom and it works well.

Strings - The verses are my favourite part of this song. It's got a nice tune to them and another good song lyrically. Chorus is a little boring.

Peggy Sue - A good song but yet nothing special again. It's got a good melody though and is catchy.

Sometimes - The fastest song on the record. A song about a girl and those perfect moments which you just want to last. It's over in 1 minute and 8 seconds.

Does My Breath Smell - Well it starts off with a intro with Mark and Tom saying some weird things in the background and then it bursts into the verse. It's a fast song which is suprisingly strong. One of the better songs on the album.

Cacophony - The whole pace of the record slows down here and it's a welcome break. The song however is a tad boring in the verses though the chorus's pick things up a little and lyrcially you can connect with the song.

TV - One of the best Blink songs on the entire album. It's a funny song without refering to other peoples mothers or acts of sodemy. It's like Sometimes fast, catchy and short.

Wasting Time - One of the best Blink songs ever. The lyrics are fantastic, the melodies are perfect and it's the song that any teenage guy can relate to. 'Sometimes I sit at home and wonder if shes sitting at home thinking of me and wondering if i'm sitting at home thinking about her.. or am I just wasting my time?' It's a lyric that not many could think of.

Romeo And Rebecca - After a very slow intro the song finaly kicks in. Toms voice is pretty shaky again. It's a good song lyrically however it doesn't really get good until the chorus kicks in when the song speeds up. It goes from boring to a good song.

Ben Wah Balls - I guess the word to describe this song is lol. It's a joke song talking about two people who meet, sleep together and realise the man is her father. One of the first joke Blink songs and one of the greatest.

Just About Done - Um well... Wack I guess is the word for this song take a listen and you will understand. Completely random.

Depends - Another joke song. It's catchy. It's a song about someone who can't control their bladder and their problems.

So overall if you don't like Blinks immaturity this record certanely wont change your opinions but if you don't like the sound of Enema or TOYPAJ you might just enjoy this album. It's different to any Blink 182 album there is and though it doesn't break new ground it's still a great album and for any Blink fan it's a worthy purchase.

Rating - 3.75/5 :)

i really like the CD, i bought it a while ago and i've listened to it repetedly ever since. The guitar parts in most songs are very nice and smooth; the drums lines are not very complicated but somewhat appropriate. Songs i like on the album are: Ben Wah Balls, sometimes, romeo + rebecca, touchdown boy. This is IMO blinks 2nd best album (after dude ranch). I like the music very much, the vocals needed some work though. I recommend this album to any pop-punk fan out there and especially the blink 182 fans.

Well, I like the newer blink albums. but not this one. It sounds really crappy, but maby thats just cause someone stuffed my cd up his ***.
Seriuosly, it just sounds like they recorded it with a frickin Fisher-Price recorder. Perhaps its just my copy of the CD, but I sure as hell dont like it that way.

A really good cd, it ties with Dude Ranch for their best album. I wish they would have stayed this way...

Dude, they weren't overly famous then. They couldn't have afforded a particularly "done, dusted and polished" album. Anyway, it gives a great feel to the album.

I still prefer Dude Ranch to this album, but it's still really good. Although I still like Bink now, this was definately when they were at there best.

This is a great album however I think Dude Ranch is the best. Dude Rach has the same style and also much better vocals and clarity. Im not a fan of Enema and TOYPAJ but I do like their new album.

At first I hated it, but I stuck with it, and now I consider it pure genius. I got into Blink originally from Enema of the State (got it as a birthday present, didn't even know it existed), and it's inspired me to listen to more and more of their music.

In my opinion it's their best, closely followed by Dude Ranch.

This is so true. But in my opinion i prefer Dude Ranch slightly ova Cheshire Cat. My absolute fav album by them is there live album, Mark Tom And Travis Show. The songs r speeded up and it is jus an amzing album. Also funny. BLINK rule
