Fall Out Boy wrote My Heart Will Always Be The B-Side of My Toungue after their huge debut on websites like myspace and purevolume. This EP is not very different from their other albums like From Under the Cork Tree and Take This To Your Grave. Lyrically it's the same but the EP is acoustic. Lyrics of teenage angst, the ususal Patrick Stump vocals, and acoustic guitar. In my opinion it worked out very well.

1. My Heart Is The Worst Kind Of Weapon 5/5
Easily the best song on the EP. The song is about that jealousy from kids who never got the girl. The strong and heartfelt lyrics that come across very nicely with Stump's voice. I have great respect for this band's ability to write lyrics that everyone can relate to. Pete Wentz's writes," I'm the kind of kid that can't let anything go but you wouldn't know a good thing if it came up and slit your throat." And the rest of the song continues with the same raw emotion.
2. It's Not A Side Effect Of The Cocaine, I Am Thinking It Must Be Love 4/5
After a song with so much spite and hate they follow it up with a song about the feelings in those teenage relationships. A quick song but the ideas are expressed clearly.
3. Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner 4/5
With the song title from a line said by Patrick Swayze from Dirty Dancing you know your in for a treat. Another song with those strong lyrics of teenage angst.
"So wear me like a locket around your throat I'll weigh you down. I'll watch you choke. You look so good in blue"
4. Love Will Tear Us Apart 3.5/5
This song is on the album From Under The Cork Tree. It's a good song and the drums is a nice change in the EP. The lyrics are more simplistic but still works well.
5. Grand Theft Autumn (Acoustic) 4/5
Originally on Take This To Your Grave, this song catapulted Fall Out Boy into the music world. The song has the same lyrics with an acoustic twist. There is no real change in this song from the original, but it's nice to hear it if you haven't in a while.

The Wrap Up
Pleasently suprised with the lyrical content on the EP. This EP is testimony to the band's ability to write strong and heartfelt lyrics and perform it beautifully.

Really stupid album title and song titles, and the lyrics seem stupid too :P. That's all I can say about this album.

Seperate the songs with paragraphs, and put some more info into your description for each track.

You shouldn't begin your review assuming we know how Fall Out Boy sounds. Explain their sound, and then go into detail with each songs. Other than being accoustic and having stupid lyrics, I don't know anything about this album from your review

Next time ill try your style of reviews... but i feel that if you take the band's lyrics seriously and not base it on the band's stereotype you'll be suprised

god this review is really bad. This is like that horrendous AVA review that got written a while back. Changing the format would not have helped you here. It just poorly written. You lack details and you spend about 2 poorly constructed sentences on your song descriptions.

Some people here need to really shut the fuck up when talking about others reviews. Most people can't just start out writing fantastic reviews. It's one thing to give criticism, but to bash someone without giving helpful tips is completely unnecessary. This Message Edited On 06.10.06

The 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' cover is decent, but Stump's vocals kill it in the chorus.

EDIT: Your review was not well written, it needs alot more detail and (as Kripes pointed out) correct facts.

"It's Not A Side Effect Of The Cocaine, I Am Thinking It Must Be Love" is probably the best song off of this. I enjoy the whole EP.

just got this, it's not bad at all. i quite like the cover, which is a good sign, as i hated the original. i appreciate what joy division were about, but his vocals and the general limpness of their music put me off. also, they inspired the shitty shoegazing indie bands of today, (i.e. editors etc.) and so that's reason enough not to like them! but hey, im not bashing anyone for liking them, i just dont like them myself.

FOB on the other hand, contrary to most people, i find to be one of the better bands in the current wave of pop-punk/emo.
