This album is a monster. I don't really have much to report after listening, a my throat has been severed and my face twisted intoba deformed, subhuman shape. As the apocalypse approaches, I can feel my heart begin to beat against my chest like never before. A mutated creature comes forth and begins to smell my fearful body...

That's exactly how this album sounds. I don't know if this is slam, grind, whatever-the-***; its some of the most brutal and unrelenting *** I've ever laid my ears upon. Everything about this will rip your face off in a second; need I say ***ing more?!?! This is totally going to burn your insides if you ain't careful.

The guitars are sludge as can be, drums sound like a ***ing gun, vocals are from the weird ass beast on the cover.... How can it get better? Not to mention these guys change time sigs so much they make BTBAM look like like Paul Wall. Get this immediately, and transcend into this bizarre, nuclear-devastated dimention.

album does rule. hardly experimental or slam though.

the vocal performance is one of my favorites, he makes all kinds of disgusting noises. its too bad he abandoned all that for a more standard style on the next one. ive been waiting for Hymn for the Leeches for fucking ever, apparently its done but the label is lollygagging or something, idk.

has slam influence.... idk... i find this very experimental but to each his own, its at the very least insanely prog

but that's good news if its anywhere near close to this quality

curious as to your thoughts on this hawks, some more of why i like this: it really eminates a Fallout 3 type of atmosphere for me. some strange elements I like are the almost mechanized sounding drums (which i presume are fake) but they are produced in a way that really makes them stand out. also the guitar tone is very effects heavy but in a good way, sludgy with strange solos that almost echo Type O negative a la 'October Rust' as far as production goes. and the vocals....
