Review Summary: "will make u depressed" - silentp, 2.19.2017

Adept in conveying an unpredictably moody vibe and always on the cutting edge of production, A Taste of Struggle – or A/T/O/S for short, is yet another new band that I’ve come to appreciate more recently. There’s little information on Amos and Truenoys, the Belgian-based masterminds behind A/T/O/S, and frankly, it’s the mystery behind the persons involved that adds extra flair to their music. Sleekly grim and ever organic, their second effort Outboxed is a triumph in production alone. Whether you’re listening to the lush instrumentation taking place on “Ocean of Ideas”, the roomy downtempo “Wake Up” or even the claustrophobically overwhelming “Intercom People”, Outboxed’s ace is its production and its expansive sound dynamics. The album itself doesn’t even reach the thirty minute mark, but it’s due to how brief Outboxed is that the allure behind the songs don’t waver immediately. Outboxed easily crafts a breathtaking, tenacious merging of R&B and trip-hop while still bringing forth new ideas to the trip-hop genre and is perhaps a sign of things to come from A/T/O/S – whether it be more grand in scale or furthermore brief and concise.

"Outboxed’sace is its production and its expansive sound dynamics. "

It's probably just my lack of knowledge regarding the English language but that reads awkwardly and I honestly didn't get it, though I know what you meant.

Good review, have a mind pos. and ya, i'll obviously check out anything that's good.

Their s/t was mesmerising, so I have high hopes for this one. Doubt the review needed to be longer, seems to be really neatly condensed.
