Review Summary: Hi, I'm Tim

What a great album! It's called Tim. Like the name, Tim. How nice.

This album has good songs on it. It's as if the band took Let It Be, the album that came before, and made it better. Not a clunker on this one except maybe Lay It Down Clown. Which is as dumb a song as it sounds.

Other places however, we get the goods. The rip roarin' Dose Of Thunder, breezy pop styling's of Kiss Me One The Bus (i prefer the lips but my bus is ok, too!) and great ballad to the insecure in us all, Swingin' Party. Where we all hang side by side. Waitress In The Sky is funny and contemptuous all at once as it jingle jangles along, and what can you say about Little Mascara? How sad, how joyful....how very Westerberg it is!

What an angst ridden mess! Best track here is one of the 'mats best ever, Left Of The Dial. What does it sound like? Like it's name, and power chords galore.

Rock 'n Roll was like a dead fish in '85. But this album and a few others battered and fried the bit*h Pass the tarter sauce!
