Doolittle is one of those albums that there is always a wish to go back to that first listen and rediscover what it was like to have your head explode. Never does the album lose momentum or emotional impact. And not only were they just a wickedly cool band, the Pixies could electrify the mind, body, and soul. Like no other group before or after, they were true rock n’ roll and all that encompassed it.

Pos'd but I think you focus on the two most well known songs on the album a bit too much

Album is an objective 5. Don't let personal difficulties influence the rating.

Actually DO let personal feelings affect it because rating things based on overall objectivity only is really stupid.

Meh whatever Tempest ;)

also I don't really like this review :/

It's too short, which this length would be fine if it went into more detail, but it just seems like it could say so much more than it does. Specifically, it doesn't really mention how Francis's and Deal vocals interplay together, nor does it even mention the rather prominent bass parts on the album. And even when it does talk about the songs, it only brings up their topics and never details anything about their specific instrumentation or vocal styling.

Also the review uses words like "haunted," "gothic" and "nightmarish" so often that I feel you give the album a very misleading tone, it's a bright upbeat album for the most part, not a dark one...

Also a side note: the first Pixies album I heard was Surfer Rosa, so Doolittle didn't exactly make my head explode, but the review seems to assume every one starts with Doolittle. Not a major flaw in the review though.
