Review Summary: A piece of genuine electro happiness

Rhodz - a name that should ring alarms to the niche electro music listeners. Hailing from Nantes, France and its dazzling house music scene; the man has been slowly and steadily cultivating his production skills from a tender age.

With a bright mix of ambiance, funk, dance and dub; Rodz creates inimitable rhythms and melody; one which is rather distinctive. For all the EDM music floating around on the sound cloud cosmos, where every second mix or release sounding like the millions before and after it’s refreshing to hear a producer whose music sounds distinct. But that not the main reason why he has been gaining a reputation as one of the rising producers to look into; which is the fact that he is an exceptional composer who has been steadily learning more tricks and trades release after release.

I first heard Rhodz’s “child of light” on a random playlist a few years ago and though I was never did get overly enthusiastic about it I did notice the distinct melody and an uncompromising promise for the future. After a year or so I again stumbled on his “released thought EP” which did show a colossal change in production and style. The music reeked of happiness and reminded me of controlling sonic the hedgehog running through the aquatic ruins. Nostalgic and a timely reminder of the possible origin of the genre but much like the sonic soundtrack the recurrence value kicked in and there was a feeling of repetition throughout the ep. Same “beeps”, Similar “wooop” and timely use of Hatsune Miku. Even though the air kept changing track on track…. It at times just didn't feel engaging enough.

After a few more remixes; he then released his 2nd ep called “Madness” which was a giant hop on right course. The songs within the EP sounded very polished, still consisting within in those melodies as the premium driving force. However again somewhat suffering from duplication. He then teamed up with Sian to release “Elisa” which now also completely incorporated a sense of Japanese anime vibe…. “Hakken” sounds like something I would expect as the title soundtrack for the upcoming bones/sunrise series. It is extremely catchy!

Which leaves us with “dream fiction”. Aside from the title track, which is highly recommended. The other songs feel more distinct. I like the fact that “endless fantasy” and “night Landscape” contain similar Rhodz ingredients and descants however are enough poles apart to keep me engaged. It fun, diverse and some bit beautiful.

"EDM music" is redundant js (the m in EDM stands for music)

I also haven't heard the music yet but I'm like 99% sure there is no dub in it

(btw can give you more extended feedback if you'd like)

I think he meant critique of your review, not the album, although I could be wrong.

nice vocab. first couple sentences of your last paragraph are kind of confusing to be blunt. there are a few minor grammar issues (capatalize Sonic the Hedgehog), also it would be easier to understand if you put your EP/album titles in italic (example would be italicized, in case you don't know how) and quotes around your songs.

also the review comes across as more of an artist review than a release review, which isn't really the point (maybe that's what you intended? idk)

I like your overall style + your willingness to review something relatively obscure + your cohesion/seperation of ideas, sorry if I'm coming across as harsh
