Review Summary: Some bands just have that "thing".. yes Sylosis, I'm talking about you!

First thing's first, Josh Middleton is a musical mastermind!!! *uhm* Now that that's out of the way, let's get straight to business shall we?
Sylosis, a band formed back in the 2000', went through several band member changes, had been in an RV accident back in 2013, and earned a spot on my "most underrated bands to EVER exist" list, finally released the highly anticipated, full length 4th studio album named: "Dormant heart".
Seriously, when it comes to the Doom/Thrash criteria, there are hardly any bands that manage to pull it off quite like Sylosis does. "Dormant heart" reminded me just how ridiculously engaging music can be, with out of this world vocals, epic guitar solos, aggressive drumming & overall fantastic musicianship.
In 2012 Sylosis showed a significant change of pace when they released "Monolith", their 3rd studio album. Unlike "Conclusion of an age" and "Edge of the earth", two albums that were very aggressive & fast paced, "Monolith" showed a slower, more "mature" side of the band that no one expected to hear, and some even went on an angry rant saying how soft Sylosis has become.
"Dormant heart" however, manages to merge both sides to the fullest and does so in admirable fashion. For example, songs like "Victims and pawns" and "harm"" show the brutal, fast paced style that Sylosis is known for, while "Overthrown" & "Mercy" present a slower paced, yet still aggressive style that was used in "Monolith". Other tracks such as "Quiescent" & "Pillars erode", showcase much more clean vocals and soothing melodies, which add different vibes than the rest of the songs. Variety's always good when it's done right!
"Dormant heart" is a prime example of maturity and evolvement. A band that continuously releases superb music and doesn't seem to slow down, therefore (even with it's minor irrelevant flaws) Sylosis' 4th studio album is an instant classic!
Fans of the genre, I implore you, listen to this masterpiece for it will surely blow your mind!

Pros :
Breathtaking vocals.
Amazing guitar solos.
Great musical variety.
Impacful doom bits.
meaninful lyrics.

Cons :
Non-existent, album's perfect, listen to it now.

Doom/Thrash?
There's absolutely no elements of Doom in Sylosis.
Review terrible too by the way. I hate to be mean, but you're either young, or inexperienced, or both. You're just fan-gushing over the band and not giving any details about the music other than it's "epic", etc..

"There's absolutely no elements of Doom in Sylosis"

Yeah, I'm going to have disagree with you there my friend. Middleton even says that this album has a lot more "doomier" elements than previous ones, and other reviews mention it as well.
