U2 is one of the last truly epic rock bands in the world today. They have been around since the start of the Eighties, ans contiune to rock the world today. When you combined Bono's out of this world vocals, The Edge's brittle, icy guitars riffs, Adams smooth and arodynamic bass lines, and Larry's driving drum beats you get a jaw droping experience. But it is there twenty-five year friendship that makes the band amazing. They have been creating masterpiece after masterpiece, and this album gives you some of the best of there first decade, the Eighties.

Pride(in the name of love):U2's most famous song from this decade. It is a musical tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The first thing that strikes you in this song is the Edge's amazing guitar riffs. Then you hear Bonos powerful vocals. There is even a reference to Jesus in the song(one man betrayed with a kiss). All in all, a classic and a good start to the album. 5/5

New Years Day: A little bit of a dark song. The lryics are a bit depressing, but the bass line done by Adam is some of his best on the album. Most of the time his work is overshadowed, but not here. Some more solid vocals by Bono, and the Edge's guitar work is amazing, he also shows his piano skills here. Solid song. 4/5

With Or Without You: Many fans personal favorite and why not. It is a great love song that starts out inocent in both Bono's lryics and the guitar riff, then gets stronger and more intense. You really get a sense of just how goods Bono is in this song. Add on the guitar riff the Edge put's on and you get chill's running down you spine. Amazing. 5/5

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For: A simple gospel song. Nice guitar riff, along with More soaring vocals from Bono and you get a solid song. Nothing fancy here, but it is a little repetitive. 4/5

Sunday Bloody Sunday: All right a pure rock song about a shooting in Ireland. A political song, this abvously shows that U2 was ticked off when this happend(just watch the Rattle And Hum movie) and it shows. The drum beat is agressive, the guitar riff tight, the bass powerful, and the Vocals masterful. By the way, in this song you get a mere glimpse of the Edge's vocal talent's. He is just about as gifted as Bono. It's hard to tell them apart, the Edge's voice is a little bit more pure and he even has a higher and better falsetto than Bono. No i am not jokeing. 5/5

Bad: Not much energy in this song, a nice simple guitar and bass beat, but what really shines is Bono's vocals and the lryics. They just grab you, a moving song. 4.5/5

Where The Streets Have No Name:Yet another masterpiece U2 has created. The opening in this song is what sells you, with the senthesizer then The Edge's opening guitar line, it puts you in awe. Then the drums come in, followed by the base and of course some more amazing volcals. This is the second most recongnizable song from the Eighties. You can listen to it over and over again and you never get tired of it. 5/5

I Will Follow: There's really nothing spectactular about this song, but this the one that got U2 started. It's a very pleasing uplifting rock song. It is more like a punk rock song, but then again that's what U2 to was when they first got started. 4/5

The Unforgettable Fire: Another simple uplifing song. A smooth combination of the drums, bass, guitar and lyrics. There's even a nifty combination of senthiziers in this song. 4/5

Sweetest Thing: This is a very positive song. It talks about the sweet things in life, The Edge does a nice job on the piano in this song, as well as backing lryics. 4/5

Desire: A very catchie rock song, excelent guitar riff and vocals, and the drums and bass fill in nicely. It all comes together to make one of the fastest and best songs on the album. 5/5

When Love Comes To Town: This is my personal favorite. Why, because it's the most unique song on this album. Even better is the fact that BB King guest stars. When you first listen to the song it makes you think, "what the heck" but it grows on you. It's neat to hear Bono put some edge into his vocals, well he kind of has to, because BB king's voice is far from pure. Some nice guitar licks from Edge as well, but it is overwritten by BB Kings solo. Great song. 4.5/5

Angel Of Harlem: A very underated song, this is a very vocal and insturmental song. It has some class to it in a sense. Solid guitar and drum lines. Good lryics, and great vocals. Bono and Edge really blend there voices well. 4.5/5

All I Want Is You: A great love song. The Edge has one of his best guitar moments here, and some wonderful Vocals by Bono. A nice smooth way to end the album 5/5

All in all, this is a great album with some of the best bit's of the Eighties. The left out a few greats, (two hearts beat as one, Bullet the Blue sky) but is great never the less. 5/5

Great album, one of the most solid compilations out there. I don't like "When Love Comes to Town" or "Angel of Harlem", but the rest is amazing music. Although after so many years the singles get overplayed. I wouldn't be fussed if I never heard "Pride" again.

I can only bring myself to listen to Sunday Bloody Sunday, and though not being a U2 fan, this review is alright.
Fix the spelling errors would be a good place to start making it better.

Right, well, where to start...
I'm a massive U2 fan, but there are still plenty of 'epic' rock bands in the world. I'd point you at Porcupine Tree, Dredg, and Thrice, for starters.
Your track descriptions relied too much on hyperbole. Words like 'great' and 'awesome' don't tell readers much about the songs. On top of which, you glossed over important songs like Bad and The Unforgettable Fire, and you completely misinterpreted Sweetest Thing, which is actually quite a sad song if you listen to the lyrics.
The album still deserves a 5, it's an incredible colleciton of songs.

Angel Of Harlem: A very underated song, this is a very vocal and insturmental song. It has some class to it in a sense. Solid guitar and drum lines. Good lryics, and great vocals. Bono and Edge really blend there voices well.

The only U2 album that I will ever listen to is Boy, the rest is just meh.
You have the right idea, but try adding more information about each track. Avoid using words like best, great, and awesome.

I think this is a good album for your occasional u2 listeners. Its a good overview of their early years. I wish 40 and seconds was on this album though.
