Review Summary: A Place To Start is a really interesting a clever EP from Fireproof Giant.

A Place To Start is a really interesting and clever EP from Fireproof Giant. Starting with a fantastic introduction track, ‘Pandora’ is a beautiful vocal driven track with some really inspiring sounds in the form of piano and strings alongside a very twinkly synth sound. The way the song travels really builds the suspense up and sets the tone for the rest of the EP perfectly. The pace is really amped up towards the end of the song, this alongside the wall of huge sounding vocals really make for an epic climax to an extremely well written song.

After ‘Pandora’ it moves on to a more indie inspired song ‘Gather You’ with a really catchy guitar part and some amazing vocals, this song really does show the diversity that Fireproof Giant are capable of.

This then moves on to a more dark sounding song ‘Cover Up’ driven by a strong piano and powerful vocals it really takes you into the song, fully immersing you in the Fireproof Giant world.

The last track on this fantastic EP really is the show stopper, a haunting ballad of soft breathy vocals alongside a simple piano, it will leave any listener speechless. There are some huge strings that add something really special to the song. All of this alongside the most important part – powerful lyrics make this song the cherry on top of this very well iced cake of an EP. Fantastic work Fireproof Giant you guys are certainly worth looking out for!
