It was basically criminal to me to see that this album hasn’t received a review yet. I’m not even gonna fuss about length. Basically this album is some of early death metal’s finest achievements. We’re talking 1986. To have riffs that contain the perfect balance of melody and heaviness is a great thing. No I’m not talking about melodic fruit cake metal, I’m talking about real death mo flaxseedin’ metal. Yes I know it’s not metal to not cuss but I don’t wanna draw any attention from one the greatest metal albums ever made.
The production here is excellent/superb. The crusty grainy sandy guitar tones rip effectively through the mastered soundwaves. The guitars, as mentioned earlier, contain a great deal of note and character differences. Meaning, that although ‘death metal’ is never veered away from Poison manages to achieve every single capability within the confines of death metal achievements in one awesome album which is Into The Abyss. This album is known by many of death and thrash metals early efforts and the funny thing is you’d think that humankind would have evolved and created something greater as time went on but this album has basically never been surpassed. It’s perfect in every way and anyone who says its not is a scene kid. When you dig real death metal its impossible to be a scene kid because real death metal IS the scene. We exist within the confines, HAIL ***TY REVIEWS!
