Review Summary: Dolemite talk smooth and so do his soundtrack
“You no-business-being-born, rat-soup-eatin’, insecure mutha***a!” Dolemite is on the scene. Dolemite is his name, and ***in’ up mutha***as is his game. He’s the flyest cat on the street, the funkiest mama jamma, he’s a mack magnifique! Dolemite talk smooth and so do his soundtrack. With funky riffs and basslines that’ll have you jigglin’ like baby fat! With that twang and a slap, this crew gon’ make your hands clap. And that girl on track 6 sings over them bass drum kicks, feel the power of her love, but she dirty, make sure you wear a glove! God damn! I’ll tell you, if you tell me that you can’t get down to this *** then I call you a liar! If you tell me you cant get down to that guitar lick on track 8 I don’t buy it! If you try to trick me man don’t try it, ‘cause Dolemite be a ass kicking kung-fu Richard Pryor! The rest of the tracks is fine, funky fresh fare the whole time, the bonus tracks are a waste, and the title track might take the cake.
