Review Summary: Poor production drags down an otherwise half decent debut.

Australia is known as the land down under. Down under what exactly, is up for interpretation, but if Australia's music scene is any indication, it must mean under the radar of the musical Bigwigs. There are plenty of bands from Australia that nobody has ever heard of, this is one of them. In 2011, An Arrow To The Knee released a demo called "Getting Over Thunderdome". The band consisted of, at that time, Geoffrey Leonard Jr. on vocals, Sandra Bogard on drums, and Denis Henderson on Guitars. This album only has two tracks, so it is rather short in time frame, however it is much more death metal oriented and slower than the groups newer releases which feature their v2 lineup.

The First song is The Dawning, which is a standard brutal death metal song with token deep guttural vocals, however something interesting to note is the rather thrash metal sounding instrumental. Unfortunately, bass is entirely drowned out in this mix.

Next is Battery Acid, this song receives the most flak, and for good reason. The song not only features rap, but autotune which is off key, and that's always a bad sign. This track reminded me more of Brokencyde than a metal act, but I listened to it, and while it is the worst track on the album, it does have the most varied vocal style, and even some promising, VERY deep gutteral vocals near the middle. While most hate this song, I personally happen to love it.

The Good:
-Diverse selection of genres including Hip Hop, Death Metal, Grindcore, and Stoner Metal.

The Bad:
-Overuse of AutoTune on 'Battery Acid'.
-Vocals were recorded in a way which sometimes makes them get drowned out in the music.
-Production was sub par.

The Awful:
-Rapping on Battery Acid. Feels more like a BrokeNCYDE song than a metal song.

Aye, I'd say so. They obviously don't take themselves seriously. They have Chris Chan on their next album and a bloody song called "Thank you based god".

It's an overused internet meme quoted wrongly. And that's just beside the fact that a lot of memes are already awful.

"its like somebody went "hey remember when everybody got pissy over rest, lets do that again" "

How does somebody posting a review to a music site have any effect over the reaction of the general public? Know what I think? They can get the fuck over it, whiners. It's a band, they exist, deal.

I'm not so much bothered by this band's existence as I am unsettled by what their existence indicates of society at large. It's one of those mental moments where you wished there were still evolutionary challenges that weeded out tendencies like these.

It's the losers associated with the pretend band in question posting these terrible reviews.
