Review Summary: ah
Technical thrash rules. It rules because it combines the two greatest elements of music, musicianship and waltzing the *** out. There are many thrash fans out there that feel the wank takes away from the thrash but they are retards, it only adds depth, and passion, ah. Right from the get go the album techs hard, the main riff to Events in Concealment is mind bendingly sweet, it just rocks so hard. Most of the album follows the same formula, techin hard. And while it techs hard its not just a one trick pony, many of the riffs are catchy and demand satisfaction. Triocton is a beast of a track, a instrumental full of sweaty wank riffs. The piano intro is really great too, its like ***ing elp or some ***, the riff around the 2 minute mark is ***ing insane, its not only technical as dick but it stays in your brainz like a bitch. There are times where the constant tech riffs get a little convoluted but mostly its non stop rape. God damn this album techs hard. The vocals are pretty typical high register squawks and not giving a *** about staying in key, the thrash way, they rock. The production is great too, you can almost taste the hyperiffs as they accelerate. It would be nicer if the bass was a little more audible though but maybe the bassist couldnt keep up with the tech so they turned him the *** down, but i dont blame his ass.
Deception Ignored is surely one of the most technical thrash albums ever, its just insane, like even necrofagist couldnt play this ***. The riffs are top tier, the drums keep up well with the guitars and the singer sings every now and then. I recommend this to anyone who likes thrash metal or technical metal or even ***ty overproduced tech death, if you want to hear what it was like to be tech back in the day, without protools and all that other bull***. This record rocks, and while its not quite Heathen level, its damn close.
