Review Summary: This is possibly one of the best deathcore albums out there due to the fact it was recorded live it brings the brutally of the album more forward and the rawness in the drumming is more heard as well.
During the year 2007 deathcore albums were coming out in the thousands and it was hard for metal fans to hear all of them and most people feel that there is no difference between each of the albums and that they are all the same.
So what is the difference between this album and other albums well apart from being filled with black metal screams and death metal growls this album is just bone crushingly brutal and vicious this album and has absolutely no clean vocals whatsoever so it is pure deathcore.
So here is just a lowdown on each of the songs:
Revelations (Intro)-Like all good core albums it always starts with an intro of voices or screams etc.
Unanswered-The first actual song on the album starts off with a brutal drum beat which then moves to Mitch's screaming or growling which then goes into a breakdown. I really enjoy this because of its brutal sound and it easily gets a 5/5.
Hands Of A Killer-This song starts off slower than most songs on this album and keeps the same opening sound for most of the track which could draw most people away from it so 3.5/5
The Price Of Beauty-This songs not one for the women as it talks about the destruction of women's fake beauty and how it was not worth it to look that beautiful. I love this track its' one of my favourites and is worth a listen so 5/5
The Fallen-Another song that talks about a hatred for religion and God which most christians will hate, but this song is well timed in its drumming and has an awesome guitar sound to it so give it a listen. 4/5
No Pity For A Coward-Great song just amazing and totally needs a listen great breakdown good solo and good lyrics. 5/5
The Disease-Not so sure what this song is about and it was pretty good, but it's not the best on the album. 3.5/5
Bludgeoned to Death-This is easily the best song on the album it's the most brutal song it's got a great breakdown and it shows that Suicide Silence is serious about brutally. 5/5
Girl Of Glass-Another song that is not for the women as it details their escape from shattered existence and into self-pity. 3/5
In A Photograh-Weird start to a deathcore song, but it does pick up and it's longer so it makes up for the weird and slow start. 4/5
Eyes Sewn Shut-Again with the hatred of religion and talk about the lies that religion spreads. 2.5/5
Green Monster-Here we get a song about the green monster known as money which makes the world go round, but also breeds greed and selfishness in us. 4/5
Destruction Of A Statue-Good start great drum beat and less on the religious hate so a good change in theme. 4/5
A Dead Current-Again with the religious hate only this time it's targeting the books of religion with lines like "your book is full of lies." 3/5
Other than songs about religious hate this is a good album and will one day be a classic.
