Current 93 are an amazing band. They rely on beautiful strings and gorgeous pianos that are incredible. Folk is a beautiful genre also, as it is so amazing. ATPLH is a great effort from Current 93, and is layered out and stoked out into a polished out effort.
On this album there are lullabies, but they aren’t like the 1st graders pin the tail on the donkey ones, instead they are deep and meaningful ones that express more than just a stupid kid’s tale. This makes the album worth listening to and it brings much atmosphere.
Did I mention the vocals? Well they are okay, but not the best. The vocalist is pretty good, but at times his voice becomes a little boring, but that’s not frequent. The vocals are also very peaceful, and will settle down your soul for the day.
Folk is a great and beautiful genre, and this album demonstrates it perfectly. It’s so good that I have listened to it nonstop for the past 3 months. So please get this wonderful piece of work. It won’t disappoint.
