Review Summary: Slayer release perhaps the greatest thrash metal record - of all time.

Master of Puppets. Among the Living. Rust in Peace. Reign in Blood.

Technically, perhaps, Rust in Peace may be the best of the big 4's big 4 records.
However for the thrashiest most m/ album released you'll want to be getting reign in blood i mean this *** is heavy its not for girls especially scene girls so hawks dont show it to your girlfriend.

Kerry king is a maniac on the guitar he absolutely shreds on every single track so furiously it's kinda hard to believe that metallica were even considered thrash metal at any point in time. When you got *** like angel of death, necrophobic and guitar-heros bitch raining blood its enlightening to the important fact that all metalheads should know.
Metal won't ever die.
Hair metal might, Symphonic Black Metal might, metalcore might, but goddamn, thrash metal will live on in our heart and soul.

when you listen to any slayer album, you feel your skin crawling, your blood bubbling, your pupils diluting. Yet with reign in blood you LIVE the thrash, it fills up your body like an acid. but this acid is like one that is really good for you and just slays and slays and slays so much ***. the drums are like pounding away in the background so hard you're thinking holy *** that dude must of broken so much drumheads. Every track pretty much seems to have a tempo of over 200 bpm, which as everyone knows is metal as ***.

as jack black (performing as kill) has told us in the amazing movie 'School of Rock,' rock will live on, and nobody likes pussy *** like christina agulaira and britney spears. even the most devoted justin bieber fan would silently headbang to this, cos this is something else. They would complain about it being scary and to heavy for them but in secret they would turn last.fm scrobbling off and spin this *** on iTunes. a timeless classic, reign in blood can and will never grow old. the solos are so good, definitley a match for the crew at megadeth (of mustaine and fried man). the bass is where it should be, silent but loud as *** and fast as hell, something that so many "thrash metal" bands today still lack the ability to do.

this album is so brutal, vicious you could blast it in front of your mother and she would faint from over extertion. tappjng your foot along with this violent beat would be a very strenuous task - itd be almost as hard as playing soccer and enjoying it. For 30 minutes slayer slays our ears with their brutal music. Some call it noise, but the real dudes, the ones that know how to rock out with sabbath and not the motley crue realise that this *** aint noise, its beauty. like watching a plastic bag float glide through the air, like witnessing a bird taking flight for the first time, reign in blood mirrors all forms of extreme exquisiteness.
and araya, not only singing like a wounded wilderbeest (which is a very very good thing) pulls of some of the brutalest lyrics and bass riffs to ever be put on display in a metal record.

Entering a tomb of a corpse yet conceived
Tighten the tourniquet around your neck

Sifting away the debris of hated life
Cold touch of death begins to chill your spine

he quite often uses serial killers as a topic for his songs, but nothing like marilyn manson, he does it indiscriminately which makes it seem all the more brutal. imagine metallica using lyrics like that, it just doesnt work. this song-writing is meant for the heavy ***, the stuff that the weak can't handle, yet those who can metal love.
and the beat at the start of criminally insane, may seem like a dull move by slayer, but it flows and fits so perfectly with an already perfect album.

metal as amazing and vehement as this will never die. let reign in blood live long. (as well as south of heaven)

Overrated. "Angel of Death" and "Raining Blood" are the only great tracks here.
