none so vile is one of the best most brutal death metal albums ever made. Scratch that, it's one of the best metal albums ever period. How many other albums can you name that have such brutal vocals, monster riffs, and pounding drums? Not many as good as None So Vile I'm sure.

First of all Lord Worm is a beast. His vocals make me just want to thrash around and mosh. You may not be able to hear the lyrics, but they are there. His lyrics are very good. For example, in Benedictine Convulsions, Lord Worm wails these amazing lyrics out. " Impaled on one of it's many legs, a bug-eyed Mary gapes on in horror as her only son is chewed to bits by spiderchrist… She is flecked with gore." Those amazing lyrics paint quite the picture into Lord Worm's demented soul.

The riffs on None So Vile are top notch. The riffs are technical, but never overbearing and the don't wank to much and take away from the music. From dissonant tremolo riffs to melodic solos, these guys do it all. The bassist does a good job of keeping up with the shred and laying down a fat bass line.

Last but not least is the drums. Man are these drums good. I don't even know how he keeps up with such fast music. His drums are very varied and he doesn't just do blast beats all the time like some other death metal bands you probably know. He does it all. From blast beats, to D beats, to more jazzy stuff that I can't even explain. Let's just say he gets the job done.

Wow is this album good. It has every element needed for a classic death metal album. Cryptopsy were at the top of their game when they recorded None So Vile. It's a shame that they sacked Lord Worm and starting sucking, but at least they unleashed this amazing record onto the world. None So Vile is an absolute classic.
